It has been 8 years since I started photographing water crystals and got acquainted with water in a new way. Before that, I had been doing water-related research with wave measurements.When I knew that water has a unique "face" like crystallization, I discovered that water actually has its various charms, and even conveys various information to us through its crystallization. In my research, I saw that compared with tap water, all kinds of natural water crystals are extremely beautiful; the crystallization of water when it hears good music is even more beautiful.In addition, if you write the words "thank you" and "bastard" to water, its crystallization will form a very strong contrast.All of this should make us human beings cherish life more and be intoxicated by the brilliance of life.

In June 1999, I compiled the photos of water crystals I took into a photobook and submitted them to the publishing house for publication.It was a small publishing house, and the method of self-ordering was adopted after publication, and it was not sold in bookstores, but this book still became a bestseller when people were scrambling to read it. This situation can be said to be very rare.Regarding this unexpected result, although I will not exaggerate to the point of being complacent every day, I do sincerely thank every friend who highly recommends and introduces this book from the bottom of my heart.

Because I hope that more people in the world can read this book, when it was published, I deliberately added all the explanatory texts in English, which I will mention later.As a result of these painstaking efforts, more overseas people have come into contact with this book, and because of their appreciation, I have also been fortunate to be invited to give speeches in European and American countries, mainly Switzerland. The reason why the photos of water crystals and the many information contained in them can be known to everyone is definitely because the time is ripe. It is this era that makes people resonate with it.For this alone, I would also like to thank fate for having arranged for me to undertake such a study.

Although I use the word "fate", the protagonist of this book is water.However, the deeper my understanding of water, the more I think about life.I don't know if you think so too?I hope that when you see the photos in this book, you will also think about this question. When this book is published, in addition to telling everyone the information that water conveys to us, I will also write down the various experiences that have settled in my heart.When I told these thoughts to Naoki Nobutaka, editor-in-chief of Sunmark Publishing House in Japan, he happily said: "This is exactly what we expected."
