Chapter 78 god is dead

There is such a person, he is a university professor, a poet, a philosopher, a lonely wanderer. He killed God, but he was not the demon in the legend. He is a real person. He is the German Nietzsche. Nietzsche was born in a religious family, and it is said that his ancestors were priests for seven generations. Nietzsche was born in a village called Loken in 1844.Soon, Nietzsche had a brother and a sister. He was a slow learner, and always watched everything with serious eyes. His father, who was a pastor, liked this quiet little boy very much and always took him for walks. But Nietzsche will never forget that his father died when he was 7 years old. This incident gave him a very big blow. Two years later, his younger brother also died. Thus, Nietzsche grew up around his mother, sister, grandmother and two aunts. The young Nietzsche lacked male love and was shy and even shy in front of others; except for his books, he only felt relaxed when he was with his sister.

It is hard to imagine that a child who grew up in such a religious family environment would leave the world with an impression of passion and even ecstasy, and would become a world-famous anti-Christian person in the future. One day in the winter of 1865, Nietzsche happened to buy Schopenhauer's great work in a bookstore.Immediately, he was captivated by the melancholy wise man who had been dead for six years.Nietzsche yelled frantically: I have found a mirror in which I can see the world, life, and my own personality described in astonishing grandeur.Nietzsche accepted the concept of "will" at once, but he did not become pessimistic. On the contrary, he transformed the will into a positive force, growing and flourishing. This is what he calls "the will to power."People should live under the domination of "will to power".

But how does Christianity want us to live?Nietzsche asked. "The ideal Christian life is full of love and humility... It firmly opposes the right to self-defense, and opposes conquering others as one's own victory." In Nietzsche's eyes, Christianity is to make people willing to be poor, submit to fate, and feel that they are guilty. It kills people's life force and primitive impulse, kills their personality, kills their passion and freedom; Christianity does not make people positive, but asks people to pity and sympathize with the weak, making people weak and weak situation.Nietzsche said that what Christianity advocates is actually a slave morality, and they use the moral principles of equality and forgiveness to justify their humble status. Therefore, Christianity is completely contrary to the development of human nature.

Nietzsche called for the emergence of a noble "Superman".This "superman" can give full play to his vitality, creativity and will to power. He is powerful and full of hope.He is no longer an ideal on the other side, but a flesh-and-blood person who can exist in the real world. So, Nietzsche said, we have to reassess all values, "God is dead, we now hope that Superman will be born!"
