Chapter 2 CHAPTER 1 EARLY COMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN CHINESE AND AMERICAN PEOPLE

Scholars believe that the American Indians are of the same race as the Chinese, and the earliest owners of the Americas may have come from China. Before Columbus arrived in America, the Indians had already been distributed throughout North and South America and became the masters of the American continent. When Columbus sailed to America in 1492, he thought that he had reached the dreamed-for Asia, India, so he called the residents here Indians, and this name has been used to this day.Ethnography, archaeology, folklore and other research results show that Indians, like Chinese, belong to the Mongolian race.China is not only the birthplace of the Mongolian race, but also the place where the Mongolian race is concentrated. It can be seen that the Indians and the Chinese have a close relationship in blood.

So, how did the ancient ancestors of Indians travel from Asia to America? It is generally believed that it may have entered the Americas from northeast Asia through the Bering Strait land bridge connecting ancient Asia and America between 10,000 and 40,000 years ago; The ship sailed to America. However, some people believe that the migration of humans around the Pacific Ocean in ancient Asia was related to the mainland and nearby islands. The mainland and nearby islands, when the ice age came, the sea level dropped, and they became one piece with the mainland.Certain islands became the passage for ancient human beings to live and migrate. Some ancient Asians may have come to today's Americas by canoe from the islands.

When did the Chinese arrive in America? Some people think that the Indians may have been immigrants from the Yin and Zhou Dynasties of China. In the 1940s, someone put forward the "Yin People's Dongdu Theory".It is said that in the 11th century B.C., King Wu of Zhou took advantage of the opportunity of the Shang to conquer Dongyi (in present-day Shandong), united with the Yong, Shu, Qiang and other tribes, and led the army to conquer the East in an attempt to destroy Yin in one fell swoop. When the army of King Wu of Zhou arrived at Muye (now Qixian County, Henan Province), King Zhou of Yin dispatched troops to fight in a hurry. The two armies fought in Muye, and the entire Shang army was wiped out.King Zhou immediately boarded the deer platform and died by burning himself. In order to wipe out the Yin army and avoid future troubles, King Wu led his army to attack King Zhou's army in Dongyi. The Yin army, whose country was destroyed and their families destroyed, fled eastward from the sea. When crossing the sea, it coincided with a hurricane and big waves, and the ship sailed across the ocean and arrived in Mexico, America. After the fugitives went ashore, they first went to San Lorenzo in Mexico, and then to La Venta in Veracruz, Mexico, where they established their capital.Afterwards, the descendants of these fugitives continued to migrate from Mexico to Central America.

Coincidentally, evidence for the "Yin people's eastward journey theory" has also been found in ancient ruins and unearthed cultural relics in some countries in Mexico and Central America. It is said that the inscriptions on the names of Yin Shang ancestors on the Olmec cultural jade unearthed from the ruins of the Copan La Venta Temple in the Yucatan Peninsula have been deciphered, revealing the true face of the masters of the Olmec culture—they are The soldiers and civilians of the late Yin Dynasty who traveled east to America. In La Venta and San Lorenzo, Mexico, archaeologists have discovered ancient drainage channels, which are very similar to the Yinxu drainage channels discovered in Anyang, Henan, my country. In 1968, a megalithic statue of a goddess was discovered in Mount Alto, Guatemala, Central America. With her hands on her belly and her flattened face facing the sky, the goddess may have been a god of childbirth. This god of childbirth is almost exactly the same shape as a marble god of childbirth in the Shang Dynasty unearthed in my country.Based on the above relics, scholars have conducted comparative studies and believe that the Olmecs who came to La Venta in 1100 BC may have come from China.

Others believe that as early as the 5th century AD, Chinese monk Huishen might have traveled east to Mexico. In 1752, based on the relevant records of "Fusang Kingdom" in volume 327 of the Chinese "Documentary General Research", French sinologist De Qiny proposed that the Chinese monk Huishen had arrived in Fusang Kingdom in the 5th century, and believed that Fusang Kingdom was Mexico .The record about Fusang Kingdom was first seen in "Liang Shu Biography of Zhu Yi" in the official history of China. It is written in the biography: "Fusang country has never been heard of in the past. Ordinary Taoists said that they came from there, and their words have no source, especially they are well known, so they are recorded together." Huishen, a state-owned monk, came to Jingzhou." Said Yun: "The Fusang Kingdom is more than 20,000 miles east of the Han Dynasty, and the land is in the east of China. There are many hibiscus trees on it, so it is named." "Liang Shu Biography of Zhu Yi" And made a detailed description of the customs of Fusang country.

As soon as De Qiny put forward his views on "Hui Shen's journey to the Fusang", it was like throwing a stone into a calm lake, which caused endless debates, with different opinions and no consensus. Some think that the historical materials are "convincing", and believe that there are records of Tanggu and Fusang as early as in the ancient Chinese documents "Liangshu" and "Huainanzi".Tanggu and Fusang are different names in one place.Tanggu is named after ancestor worship, and Fusang is named after the geographical feature of Tanggu, that is, the tall trees. "Fusang" is a place where Japanese people live in settlements. The Tanggu and Fusang sun worship groups are called "Fusang country" because of the fact that there are many tall trees in the place where the sun rises. The Fusang nation is the Taihao, Shaohao, and Xihe tribes. They live in the coastal areas of Hangzhou Bay, Ningshao Plain, Taihu Lake and northern Jiangsu in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. However, the ancient American Indians had an extremely strong and persistent concept of Tangu Fusang, and a large number of Fusang pictures were unearthed in American Indian culture, and the constituent elements were the same as those in China. In fact, this is the result of the migration history of Fusang Kingdom from east to west. Some think it is "overseas tales fabricated by wandering monks"; some think Fusang is Japan or other places. Is it true or false that Huishen of China arrived in Fusang in the 5th century?Fuso means Japan or Mexico? It remains to be studied and commented by future Chinese and foreign historians.

However, we seem to have found circumstantial evidence of Chinese monk Huishen arriving in Mexico in the 5th century on La Quebrada Square in the port of Acapulco, Mexico. On the Laquebrada Square, stands a monument to the arrival of a Chinese sailing ship. This monument was built by the local governor and mayor on November 20, 1936 to commemorate a sailing ship that arrived here 1400 years ago.Although the establishment of this monument is based on the legend of the local people in Mexico, the local people say that the time when the Chinese sailing ship arrived coincides with the time when "Huishen traveled to Fusang in the east" recorded in the historical records of our country.I don't know if it's true or just a coincidence.

From the many conjectures above, many scholars have come to a nearly unanimous view: that is, before Columbus "discovered" America, the Chinese may have reached America.
