Penglai, which is well-known at home and abroad, is one of the three fairylands in ancient legends.Penglai Pavilion is located on a cliff facing the sea 1.5 kilometers northwest of Penglai County, Shandong Province. It was built in the Jiayou period of the Northern Song Dynasty (AD 1056-1603). Penglai Pavilion, Amitabha Temple and other groups of different temples, halls, attics, pavilions and other buildings. The main building, Penglai Pavilion, facing south, is a 15-meter-high octagonal wooden structure with double eaves.In the middle of the pavilion hangs a golden plaque of "Penglai Pavilion" written by Tie Bao, a calligrapher of the Qing Dynasty.The upper floor of the pavilion is a hall, surrounded by bright corridors around the outside.When tourists come here, they can lean on the railing and look into the distance.The lucky ones can also see the famous mirage here.

Qi Jiguang, a famous anti-Japanese general in the Ming Dynasty, led his navy to fortify here to resist Japanese pirates; Covered by a short wall, even if the sea wind howls, candles can still be lit in the pavilion.Your Excellency Penglai is facing the sea, the palaces are in the sky, and the clouds are shrouded in smoke. It is known as "Fairyland".Now, there is an exquisite fairy bridge at the foot of Gehou Mountain. It is said that the Eight Immortals crossed the sea from here.

The Penglai Pavilion complex covers a total area of ​​32,800 square meters.Covered by green cypresses and set off by red cliffs, it is full of poetic and picturesque scenery. The beautiful scenery, the historical story of Qin Shihuang's visit to the fairy medicine and the myths and legends of the Eight Immortals crossing the sea add a layer of mystery to Penglai Pavilion.Since ancient times, Penglai Pavilion has been a gathering place for literati and scholars. There are more than 200 stone inscriptions on viewing the sea and describing the scenery that have survived to this day.
