The spread and development of Go is inseparable from the compilation and publication of game records.According to the existing literature, the generation time of Chinese Weiqi manual cannot be pushed back to before the Han Dynasty. "Dunhuang Chess Classic" pointed out that: in the Han Dynasty, there was "Han Tu Thirteen Stances"; in the Three Kingdoms, there was "Wu Tu Twenty-Four". These two Go records are probably the oldest chess records in our country. In the Jin Dynasty, Ma Lang (that is, Ma Suiming, known as the chess master) and others wrote "Go Situation" in 29 volumes, which is a set of Go manual with the largest number of volumes in ancient my country.

However, it was during the Southern and Northern Dynasties that a large number of Go records appeared and became an influential event in the history of Go development in my country. This is related to factors such as the prevalence of Go at that time, the importance attached by the rulers to Go, and the wide application of paper. According to "Sui Shu·Jing Ji Zhi", there are eight books of Go in the Southern and Northern Dynasties with as many as 52 volumes. Among them, there are no less than 20 Go monographs such as "Chess", "Chess", and "Chess". "Chess Situation" and "Chess Picture" seem to be game records, while "Chess Product" may be a review of chess players. This fully shows that great attention was paid to the study of Go art at that time.According to the "Book of Southern Qi·Xiao Huiji Biography", in order to study Go, Emperor Wen of Song Dynasty specially sent Chu Sizhuang to Kuaiji to compete with Yang Yuanbao, the prefect of Kuaiji, and recorded the game map, and returned to Emperor Wen to review the game.During the reign of Emperor Wu of Liang, Liu Yunpin, a second-grade go master, was specially invited to set the game records, and the famous chess player Dao Gai often worked with Zhu Yi and Wei An to revise the game records, and the resumption of the game was not bad. This shows that the calibration work of Go score was very serious and responsible at that time.

These compiled and corrected Go records are undoubtedly the essence of the games played by famous players at that time.Their spread has played a role that cannot be underestimated in the development of Go. Unfortunately, all these precious chess records were later lost. But fortunately, the recently discovered Dunhuang manuscript "The Classic of Chess" is also an important Go work during the Southern and Northern Dynasties. The book is divided into seven chapters, and two papers, "Chess Disease Method" and "Liangwu Emperor's Chess Commentary" are attached at the end. It is a relatively complete Go theory.

After the Sui and Tang Dynasties, historians attached great importance to the records of classics, histories, zi and anthology, and bibliophiles also paid more attention to the collection of these books, but often did not pay attention to chess manuals. Therefore, it is almost rare for the Weiqi scores of the Tang Dynasty to be recorded in "Tang Shu·Jing Ji Zhi".In fact, there were many go books published in the Tang Dynasty, among which Wang Jixin's "Chess Jue" was the most influential, and it was handed down to later generations and became an immortal work unanimously respected by ancient and modern Go players.Wang Jixin was a chess player during Tang Xuanzong's time. Because of his superb chess skills, he was admitted to the Imperial Academy.

It is said that Wang Jixin has an open-minded temperament, does not stick to trifles, strives for perfection in chess, and is diligent and eager to learn. After he became famous, he never regarded himself as a famous artist. Every time he went out to play, he always carried a bamboo tube with chess pieces and a paper-drawn chessboard. No matter who you meet on the way, even ordinary people, as long as they can play chess, they must get off a horse to play chess. For those who can beat him, he also treats guests to dinner. Go in the Northern Song Dynasty was further developed than that in the Tang Dynasty, and the level of chess skills has also been greatly improved.During this period and later in the Southern Song Dynasty, many Go records were published. According to "Song History", "Tong Zhi", "Document Tong Kao" and other records, there are "Go Meaning Cases", "Chess Essentials", "Xuan There are more than 20 kinds of chess books, such as "Xuan Ji", but there are only six chess books handed down to the present, such as "Go Yi Li", "On Chess Jue Yao Miscellaneous", "Ches Jue", "Wang You Qing Le Ji", "Shi Lin Guang Ji" and so on. kind.

"Go Meaning Cases", written by Xu Xuan in the early Song Dynasty, is an interpretation of Go terms, with a total of 32 terms. It has played a positive role in the unification of Go terms in ancient my country. , written by Zhang Jing in the Northern Song Dynasty, is a masterpiece of ancient Chinese Go theory. It is written on the model of "Sun Tzu's Art of War" and is divided into 13 chapters. "Wangyou Qingyue Ji", reedited by Song Li Yimin, is the only surviving copy. The content is divided into four parts: the first part is Huizong's imperial poems, "Chess Jue", "On Chess Jue Yao Miscellaneous Talk"; the second part is the overall situation, from Sun Cezhao Lu Fanyi chess game to Liu Zhongfu and other chess games, a total of more than 10 games; The third part is the corner move; the fourth part is the chess position.

"Chess Jue", written by Song Liu Zhongfu, is divided into four chapters: Arrangement, Invasion, Use of War, and Choice. The content is concise and details the basic principles of Go.If it is said that the philosophy, competition, strategy, tactics and chess quality of Go are comprehensively discussed, the "Chess Jue" only discusses the basic principles of the layout, entering, fighting, and trade-off of each game. "Has higher practical value. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties when Weiqi gradually reached its peak, Weiqi had a prominent development in my country, followed by the prosperity of Weiqi chess creation.During this period, especially in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, a lot of go books were published, among which the famous ones are "Shi Qing Lu", "Shi Shi Xian Ji", "Sancai Tuhui Chess Book", "Over a Hundred Years and Four Sons Book" , Tao Cunzhai's "Guanzi Pu", Shi Xiangxia's "Yili Zhigui", Shi Fan's "Danghu Ten Games", etc.
