Chapter 33 The fourth section is the necklace as a solemn tool in the hall

What we are talking about here is the Yingluo that is placed independently in the hall as a kind of solemn furniture. These are hanging ornaments, woven or cut into long strips, in a variety of shapes and materials. For example, those cut out of paper are somewhat similar to the "colored paper carving hanging money" in New Year pictures, and the cut patterns are also various, including swastikas, flowers, etc.Weaving is similar to long strip bead curtains, and can also weave various patterns. It is said that there are also big leather wreaths in Japan, but I have never seen them.Generally, this kind of necklace is not hung in more formal halls.Strictly speaking, they cannot be regarded as regular Yingluo, at most they can only be regarded as unconventional variants of Yingluo. However, because some monasteries—especially nunneries in the south—have this kind of solemn decoration after all, it must be mentioned at the end of this book.
