Chapter 103 The Prefect of Yanmen Walking / Li He

"The Journey of the Prefect of Yanmen" is an ancient title of Yuefu, and it mostly describes the suffering of the front court.During the mid-Tang Dynasty, there were frequent wars. One was wars with the ethnic minorities in the frontier, and the other was wars with various feudal towns and wars between feudal towns. On the one hand, the war brings huge disasters to the country and the people, and on the other hand, it provides people with an opportunity to make contributions and gain fame. Li He hopes to have such an opportunity. He wrote in his poem "South Garden": Although God did not give him a chance, he could only sigh:

But it did not extinguish his hope: "When the eyes of the sky will open, Gu Jianyong will roar." ("To Chen Shang") He is looking forward to the day when the eyes of God will open. Li He's "Yanmen Taishou Xing" is not only a chant of current events, but also a complaint of ideals. At the beginning of the poem, the momentum is very strong. "Dark clouds overwhelm the city and the city is about to be destroyed". On the surface, it is written about the climate. But the "black cloud" here is a metaphor for the dust and arrogance raised by the enemy's cavalry. This metaphor is so wonderful that it has become a classic saying.

As soon as the second sentence came out, the depression and haze in people's hearts were immediately swept away. "Jiaguang" refers to the armor of the Tang army guarding the city. Under the sun's rays, the golden light shines. Three or four sentences to write the scene of the battlefield.Autumn is the season to chill all things, not to mention the endless sound of horns that fill the world. In the twilight, the clouds and mountains in the frontier turned into a dignified purple. Five or six sentences describe the battle, and some people say it is reinforcements. The mention of "Yishui" here does not necessarily refer to the actual place, but borrows the ambition of "the wind is rustling and the water is cold, and the strong man will never return when he is gone" when he bids farewell to Yishui.

The last two sentences seem to be clichés, but they are the gist of the whole poem.In order to repay the country's favor, the soldiers in the front court did not hesitate to "promote Yulong to die as the king". This is not Li He's wish. This poem is in an ancient style, and the words and rhymes are relatively free.
