Li Guinian, a famous musician in the prosperous Tang Dynasty. In the early years of Tang Tianbao, once, the peonies in the imperial garden were in full bloom. Tang Xuanzong and Concubine Yang were enjoying the peonies by the Chenxiang Pavilion of Xingqing Palace. The musicians had just started playing and singing, and Tang Xuanzong stopped them and said: "Today we face Famous flowers, and there are noble concubines, how can they play old songs? Hurry up and call Li Bai, a scholar of the Imperial Academy, into the palace to fill in new lyrics." The musicians searched for Chang'an Avenue, and suddenly heard someone drinking and singing in a restaurant. Look, it is Li Bai.At this time, he was very drunk and lying at his desk, so he had to ask someone to use a horse to carry him into the palace.Xuanzong ordered Yang Guifei to hold the seven-treasure cup in her hand and pour the wine herself.Li Bai drank several cups, feeling ecstatic, and immediately wrote three poems of "Qingping Diao":

Xuanzong was overjoyed after reading it, and immediately recruited musicians from Jiaofang to play music, and the one who sang this song was Li Guinian, the number one player in Jiaofang.Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty played the jade flute to accompany the accompaniment. Concubine Yang Guifei held a seven-treasure cup and drank Xiliang wine while drinking. The three brothers Li Guinian are all famous musicians. Li Pengnian is good at dancing, Li Guinian and Li Henian are good at singing. Li Guinian is also good at playing the zither and composing music, and they are especially appreciated by Tang Xuanzong.Due to their superb acting skills, princes and nobles often invited them to sing. When the great poet Du Fu was young, he lived in his aunt's house in Luoyang.

After the "Anshi Rebellion", Du Fu fled to Sichuan, and then to Lianghu. During the Tang Dynasty (766-779), Du Fu, who was homeless, planned to go to Wei Zhijin, an old friend who was then governor of Hengzhou, via Tanzhou. At a banquet, he happened to meet Li Guinian, who also lived in Lianghu, and listened to his singing. Although Li Guinian was old, his voice was still so mellow, piercing clouds and cracking stones.Du Fu was deeply moved, and wrote the famous "Jiangnan Meets Li Guinian": Li Guinian later fled to Xiangtan, Hunan, and sang Wang Wei's five-character poem "Lovesickness" at a banquet held by the interview envoy in central Hunan: "Red beans are born in the southern country, and a few branches come in spring. May you pick more, this thing is the most lovesick." He sang "Song of Yichuan" by Wang Wei.After singing, he suddenly passed out, only his ears were still warm, and his wife couldn't bear to bury him.Four days later, Li Guinian woke up again, but finally died of depression.
