Chapter 3 Part 1 A Personal Misadventure

hiroshima love 玛格丽特·杜拉斯 966Words 2018-03-20
A crowd of people poured down the set for the film that had just finished filming again, and a Japanese man made his way through the crowd. This is the man we met in the hotel room this morning. He stopped when he saw the French woman, and then walked towards her, watching her sleeping soundly. His gaze woke her up.They looked at each other, each eagerly longing for the other. He didn't come here by accident. He had come to see her again. Almost as soon as they reunited, the parade began. This is the last set of shots of the film.A team of children, a team of students.dog.Cat.Street walkers. The whole of Hiroshima was mobilized, just like any other event in favor of world peace. The parade has become grotesque.

It was very hot.The sky is cloudy and a storm is approaching. They waited for the parade to go by.While waiting here, he told her that he thought he was in love with her. He takes her to his house. They talk briefly about their respective lives. Their marriages are happy, and they need nothing else to make up for the unhappiness of their conjugal life. It was at his house, during the lovemaking, that she had told him about Nevers. She left his house anyway. "To while away the time before she leaves," they went to a café by the water. The night has darkened. They lingered there for several more hours. As the departure time of her flight the next morning drew closer, their love grew deeper.

It was in this café that she told him why Nevel had gone mad. In 1944, when she was twenty, in Nevers, she had her head shaved. Her first love was German.Killed when France was about to be liberated. She was in a basement in Nevels with her head shaved. It was only when Hiroshima happened that she became decent enough to get out of the basement into the street and join the jubilant crowd. Why choose such a personal misadventure?Undoubtedly, because it is also an absolute in itself. To shave a girl bald just because she's in love with a legal enemy of the state is an absolutely horrible and stupid thing to do.We see Nevers, as we have seen him in his room. They talked about themselves again.Once again Nevers and his love scene and Hiroshima and his love scene overlap.Everything is blended together, without any preconceived principles, but in such a way that this kind of blending happens all the time, and in these scenes, the first lovers are always babbling and talking endlessly.

She is gone again. She avoided him again. She tried to go back to the hotel to calm down, but she couldn't; she walked out of the hotel and went back to the closed cafe.she stays there. To recall Nevers (inner monologue) is to recall love itself. The man followed behind her.She realizes it.She stared at him. They gazed at each other with deep love. This short-lived love, like Nevers', will be killed. As such, it has been doomed to oblivion. Therefore, it is eternal (because it is maintained by oblivion itself).
