Chapter 12 exotic aroma
One sultry autumn night, I close my eyes,
Breathing the fragrance of your hot breast,
I see the shore of happiness stretching far away,
The monotonous sun dazzles it;
A lazy island where nature offers
Strange trees, delicious fruit,
A man of slender stature and strong limbs,
And a woman with astonishingly frank eyes.
Led to enchanting places by your fragrance,
I saw a harbor full of sails and masts,
still tossed in the waves of the sea,
Meanwhile the green tamarind scent—
floating in the air and filling my nostrils,
In my heart and into the sailor's song.
