Chapter 3 brilliant star

Selected Poems of Keats 约翰·济慈 204Words 2018-03-20
brilliant star Bright star!I pray to be as firm as you are-- But I don't want to hang high in the night sky, alone Resplendent, and eyes open forever, Like nature's patient, sleepless hermit, Constantly looking at Haitao, the priest of the earth, Wash the inhabited shores with holy water, Or gaze at the flying snow, like a veil, Splendid and light, covering the valleys and mountains-- Oh, no,—I only want to be steadfast Resting my head on my lover's soft breast, Always feel its soothing fall and rise; And wake up with sweet agitation in my heart, Constantly, constantly listening to her delicate breathing,

Live like that—or die in a coma. Translated by Cha Liangzheng
