Chapter 11 laugh

Selected Poems of Lin Huiyin 林徽因 125Words 2018-03-20
It was her eyes, her lips that laughed, And round swirls around the lips. Gorgeous as dewdrops, blossoming smile Hide in the flash of white teeth. That's the laugh—the laugh of God, the smile of beauty; The reflection of the water, the light song of the wind. Laughing is her loose curly hair, Scattered next to her ears. Soft as the shadow of a flower, tickle sweet into your heart. That's laughter—the laughter of poetry, the laughter of painting: The traces of the clouds, the soft waves of the waves.
