Chapter 89 Chapter 88: Catastrophe

Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful A tidings of great calamity has indeed come to you, 2 In that day there will be many who will reverence, Three labor, hard work, 4 They will go into the fire, 5 will drink from the boiling spring, 6 They had no food, but thorns, Seven can neither fatten people nor satisfy hunger; 8 In that day many will be blessed, Nine is happy for its achievements, 10 They shall be in lofty Paradise, One by one no evil words can be heard, 12 There is a spring in it, 13 There is a high couch inside,

14 There are cups on display, 15 There are pillows lined up, 16 There is a blanket spread out. 17 Don't they observe?How camels were made, How the eighteen days rise, 19 How mountains are erected, 20 How the earth unfolds. 21 Thou shalt teach, Thou art only (theirs), 22 You are by no means a watcher of them, 23 But whoever turns away and disbelieves, 24 Whom will Allah punish with the greatest punishment. 25 They must be mine alone, Twenty-six I must be responsible for their audit.
