Chapter 18 Chapter 17 Manifestations of Prana in 7 Individuals

Meditation: The Art of Ecstasy 奥修 9375Words 2018-03-20
What is prana? How does it manifest in 7 individuals? Prana is energy, the living energy within us, the life within us.This life manifests itself, as far as the physical body is concerned, it is the inhalation and exhalation of the breath. They are two opposite things, we see them as one, we say "breathe".But breathing has two poles: inhalation and exhalation.Every energy has poles, and every energy exists in two poles, otherwise it cannot exist. The two poles, with their tension and harmony create energy, like the poles of a magnet.Inhalation is the opposite of exhalation, and exhalation is the opposite of inhalation. In a single moment, inhaling is like birth and exhaling is like dying. In a single moment, two things are happening: when you breathe in, you are born; when you breathe out, you die.In a single moment there is birth and death. This polarity is the rising and falling of life energy.

In the physical body, life energy takes this form of expression. The life force is born and after 70 years it dies. The greater expression of the same phenomenon as breathing is: day and night. In all seven bodies (physical, ethereal, astral, mental, spiritual, cosmic and nirvana) there is a corresponding in and out phenomenon. As far as the mental body is concerned, the in and out of thought is the same phenomenon as the in and out of breath. Every moment a thought comes in and a thought goes out. Thought itself is energy. In the mental body, energy appears as the coming and going of thoughts; in the physical body, it appears as the coming and going of breath. That's why you can use your breath to change your mind. There is a correspondence between them.

If you stop breathing in, thoughts will stop coming in.Stop breathing on the part of your physical body, then thinking will stop on the part of the mental body, and when the physical body becomes uncomfortable, your mental body will also become uncomfortable; the physical body will long to breathe, And the mental body also desires to bring in thoughts. Just as the breath is to be drawn from outside, the air exists outside you, so an ocean of thought exists outside you.Thoughts come and go.In another moment your breath becomes my breath, your thoughts my thoughts.Whenever you breathe out, you are also throwing out your thoughts.Just as air exists, so does thought; just as air can be polluted, so can thought; just as air can be impure, so can thought.

Breath itself is not prana.Prana means living energy that expresses itself through polarities of in and out.The energy that is drawn into the breath is prana, not the breath itself. The energy that takes the breath in and out is prana. That energy that draws thought in and throws it out is also prana. In all 7 bodies this process is present, I am only speaking of the physical body and the mental body now because we know both and we can understand them easily. But in every level of your being the same thing exists. Your second body, the ethereal body, has its own in and out processes. You will feel this process in each of the 7 bodies, but you will only be able to feel it like the in and out of the breath because you are only familiar with your physical body and its prana. So you always get it wrong.

Whenever the feeling of another body or its prana comes to you, you first understand it as the breathing in and out, because that is the only experience you know. You just know this manifestation of the living energy of prana. But at the level of the ethereal body, there is no breath and no thought, but there is an influence, and there is only an influcence going in and out. You approach a guy without knowing him well, he hasn't even talked to you, but something about him comes in.You either take it or throw it.There is a subtle vibe, you can call it love or you can call it hate -- attraction or repulsion.

When you are repelled or attracted, it is your second body. And that process is going on every moment, it never stops. You are always taking vibrations in and throwing them out. There will always be another pole.If you are in love with someone, at a certain moment you will be repelled. If you are in love with someone, the breath is inhaled, then it will be sent out and you will be repelled. So every moment of love will be followed by a moment of repulsion, the living energy exists in polarities, it never exists in one pole, it cannot!Whenever you try to make it do this, you are trying the impossible.

You cannot love someone without hating him some of the time.Hate will exist because the living life force cannot exist in a single pole, it exists in opposite polarities. So a friend is destined to be an enemy, and that will continue. This coming in and going out will take place up to the seventh body.No body can exist without this process of going in and going out.It cannot exist, just as the physical body cannot exist without the in and out of the breath. Physiologically, we never see these two things as opposites, so we are not bothered by it.Life draws no boundaries between exhalation and inhalation, it has no moral distinction. There is no choice, the two are the same. This phenomenon is natural.

But as far as the second body is concerned, hate must not be there, love must be there, and then you start choosing. You start choosing, and that choice creates disturbance. That is why the physical body is generally healthier than the secondary, ethereal body. The ethereal beings are always in conflict because moral choices have created a hell. When love comes to you you feel a health, but when hate comes to you you feel sick. But it was meant to come.So a person who knows, a person who understands polarity, when it comes, he will not be disappointed.A man who knows polarity is at ease, at peace. He knows it has to happen, so he doesn't try to love when he isn't loving, and he doesn't create hate.Things come and go, he is neither attracted by the coming nor repelled by the going, he is just a witness, he says, "It's like breathing in and out."

Anapana-sati yo-ga in the Buddhist meditation method is related to this, it says: Just be a watcher of your breath, just be a watcher, start with the physical body .The other 6 entities are not mentioned in Anapana-Sati Yoga because gradually they will follow. The more you become familiar with this polarity, this simultaneous birth and death, the more you become aware of the second body.At that time, for hate, Buddha said, be equal and detached (upeksha), be indifferent, whether it is love or hate, be indifferent.Don't get attached to either, because if you get attached, what about the other? Then you will be in dis-ease, you will be sick, you will not be at ease.

Buddha said: "A lover comes and is welcomed, and a lover goes away weeping. People who hate each other come together is a pain, but their parting is a bliss. But if you continue to divide yourself into such polarities, Then you'll be in hell, you'll be living in a hell." If you just become a witness to these poles, then you say, "It's a natural phenomenon, it's natural for the body - that's 1 of 7. The body exists because These poles, otherwise it cannot exist." Once you become aware of it, you go beyond the body.If you go beyond your first body, then you become aware of the second body; if you go beyond your second body, then you become aware of the third body, ... witnessing always It is beyond life and death.Breathing in and breathing out are two things, and if you become a witness you are neither, and then a third force comes into existence. Now, you are not the physical manifestation of prana, you are prana, the witness. Now you see, on the physical level life manifests because of these polarities, and if these polarities are not there, then the physical body will not exist either, it cannot exist. It needs tension to exist -- this coming and going is a constant tension, this birth and death is a constant tension, and it exists because of this.Every moment it moves between poles, otherwise it cannot exist.

In the second body, love and hate are the basic polarities, and it manifests itself in many ways. The basic polarity is like and dislike, and every moment your like becomes dislike, and your dislike becomes like, every moment! But you never see it.When your likes turn into dislikes, if you repress your dislikes and keep fooling yourself that you'll keep liking the same things over and over again, then you're only fooling yourself doubly. And if you don't like something, you go on disliking it, never allowing yourself to see the moments when you liked it.We repress our love for our enemies, we repress our hate for our friends. We have been suppressed! We only allow one movement, one point, and that's only because it will come back. It's back and we're at ease. But it's not continuous, it's never continuous, it can never be continuous. In the second body the life force expresses itself as likes and dislikes. But it's like breathing, there is no difference. Here, induction is the medium, and in the physiological body, air is the medium. The Second Body lives in an atmosphere of induction. It's not as simple as someone reaching out to you and you liking it.Even if no one comes in and you are alone in the room, you will like, dislike, like, dislike. It doesn't matter if someone comes in or not, the likes and dislikes will continue to alternate. It is through this polarity that the ethereal body exists. This is its breath. If you become a witness to it, then you can only laugh. At that time, there are no enemies and no friends, then you will know that it is just a natural phenomenon. If you become aware and become a witness of the second body (likes and dislikes), then you can know the third body. The third body is the astral body.Like the "induction" of the ethereal body, the astral body has "magnetic forces".Its charm is its breath. One moment you are strong, the next moment you are powerless; one moment you are full of hope, the next moment you are disappointed; one moment you have confidence, the next moment you have lost all confidence. This is where "charm" comes and leaves you. Some moments you may even defy God, some moments you may even be afraid of a shadow. When the charm is in you, when it enters you, then you are great; when it goes away from you, then you are nothing. And this keeps changing like day and night, the circle turns, the wheel turns, so even a man like Napoleon had his moments of weakness, even a coward had his moments of bravery . In judo, there is a technique of knowing when one is weak. That's the right time to attack him. When he is powerful, you are bound to be defeated, so you must know when his "charm" is gone, and then you attack him. When your "charm" comes in, you should lure him to attack you. This in and out of charisma corresponds to your breath, and that's why when you have to do something difficult, you take a breath in.For example, when you lift a heavy stone, if your breath goes out, you cannot lift it, you cannot do it.But when the breath is inhaled, or held, you can do it.Your breath corresponds to something in the third body.So when the breath comes out, that's when his charm comes out, and he can attack at that time, unless that person is specially trained to deceive you.And this is the secret of Judo.Even a man stronger than you can be defeated by you if you know his moments of fear and his moments of powerlessness. When the charm comes out of him, he must be powerless. The third body lives in a sphere of fascination, which is like air. There are charms all around, you suck them in and you send them out.But if you can become aware of these fascinations coming in and going out, then you are neither powerful nor powerless, you are beyond both. Then there is the fourth body, the mental body: thought is pulled in and sent out, but there is also something corresponding to the in and out of this thought. When the thought comes; at the same time you breathe in, it is only in these moments that the original thought is born. When you exhale, then you are impotent and it is impossible to have original thoughts in those moments. For moments of some original thought, breathing even stops.Breathing stops when some original thought arises. This is just a corresponding phenomenon. In thoughts that go out, nothing is produced. It is literally to die for.But if you can become aware of thoughts going in and out, then you can know the fifth body. Up to the fourth body, things are not difficult to understand because we have some experiences that enable us to understand their basis.Beyond the fourth body, things become very uncanny, but still something can be understood. And when you go beyond the fourth body, you understand a little bit more. In the fifth body... how to say it?The atmo-sphere for the fifth body is life, just as the atmo-sphere for the lower body is thought, breath, charm, love and hate, etc. For the fifth body, life itself is the keynote. So in the fifth body, coming in is a moment of life, and going out is a moment of death. With this fifth body, you become aware that life is not something inside you that enters you and goes out of you.Life itself is not in you, it just comes in and goes out, like the breath. That's why breath and prana have become synonymous, because of the fifth body.In the fifth body, the word "prana" is significant, it is the life that comes in and the life that goes out.And that's why the fear of death follows us all the time. You'll always be aware that death is nearby, waiting just around the corner. It's always there waiting. This feeling of death is always waiting for you, this feeling of insecurity, death, darkness is related to the fifth body.It is a very dark feeling, very hazy because you are not fully aware of it. When you get to the fifth body and become aware of it, then you will know that both life and death are just the breath of the fifth body -- coming in and going out.And when you become aware of this, then you know that you cannot die, because death is not an inner phenomenon, neither is life. Both life and death are external phenomena that happen to you.You have never lived, and you have never died. You are something completely beyond both. But this feeling of transcendence can come only when you become aware of the life force and the death force in the fifth body. Freud said somewhere that he had somehow caught a glimpse of this.He is not a yogi, otherwise he would have understood it.He called it "the will to die".He said that everyone at some point longs for life and at some point for death. There are two opposite wills in man, one is the will to live and the other is the will to die.To the Western mind, this is absolutely absurd. How can two wills so contradictory exist in the same person? But Freud said this, because suicide is possible, there must be a will to die. ① Freud (SigmundFreud, 1856~1939): Austrian psychologist and psychiatrist.Founder of psychoanalysis. His main works include "Interpretation of Dreams", etc. ——Editor's note No animal can commit suicide because no animal can become aware of the fifth body.Animals cannot commit suicide because they cannot become aware, they cannot know that they are alive. To commit suicide one thing is necessary: awareness of life, and they have no awareness of life. But another thing is also necessary: to commit suicide you must also be unaware of death. Animals cannot commit suicide because animals are not aware of life, but we can commit suicide because we are aware of life but not death. If a person becomes aware of death, then that person cannot commit suicide.A buddha cannot commit suicide because it is unnecessary, it is meaningless. He knows that you can't really kill yourself, you can only pretend to do so.Suicide is just a pose because in reality you are neither alive nor dead. Death is on the fifth plane, in the fifth body. There is a special energy going out and coming in.The in and out happens to you.If you become identified with the first, you implicate the second. If you become identified with being alive, and if life becomes impossible, you may say, "I'm going to kill myself." This is another aspect of your fifth body asserting itself. There is no one who has not had the idea of suicide, because death is the other side of life. This other side can be either suicide or murder: both are possible. If you are obsessed with life, if you are so obsessed with it that you want to deny death altogether, then you may kill another person.By killing another human being, you satisfy your death wish - the will to die.By the trick you fulfill it, you think, now you don't have to die because someone else is dead. Those who committed the massacre—Hitler, Mussolini—were extremely afraid of death. They are constantly in fear of death, so they project this death onto others. The man who can kill feels that he is more powerful than death: he can kill.In a "magical way", with a "magic formula", he believed that because he could kill he was beyond death, that a thing he could do to others could not be done to him body. This is a projection of death, but it can be reflected back into yourself. If you kill a lot of people, in the end you kill yourself. This is the projection back into yourself. In the fifth body, through life and death comes to you -- life comes and goes, and one cannot cling to either. If you are attached, if you do not accept the whole polarity, then you will become sick. Up to the fourth body it is not very difficult, but imagining death and accepting it as another aspect of life is the most difficult thing. To imagine that life and death are parallel, as the same thing, as two sides of one thing, is the most difficult act.But in the fifth body, this is polarity, this is how prana exists in the fifth body. In the sixth body things become even more difficult because the sixth body is no longer life.As for the sixth body...how should I say it?After the fifth body, the 'I' disappears, the 'ego' disappears, then there is no ego, you and everything become one. Now, it's not something of yours that goes in and out, because the ego is gone, everything becomes universal, and because it becomes universal, the polarity takes creation and destruction - Sherishiti and Pralaya (srishti and pralaya, i.e. beginning and end) form. That's why it becomes difficult, because the tone of the sixth body is creativity and destruction. In Hindu mythology they call these forces Brahma and Shiva. Brahma is the god of creation, Vishnu is the god of protection, and Shiva is the god of death, the great destroyer or disintegration, where everything returns to its origin. The sixth body exists within that vast realm of creative and destructive forces - the power of Brahma and the power of Shiva. Every moment creation comes to you, and every moment everything falls apart. So a yogi said: "I see creation, I also see praraya (the end of the world, the end of the kalpa); I see the world going into being, I also see the world turning back into non-existence (nonbeing)." He was talking about the sixth body. The ego is gone, everything that comes in and goes out is you.You are one with it. A star is being born, that's you being born.A star disappears, it's you who disappear. So in Indian mythology they say that an act of creation is one breath of Brahma -- just one breath! This is the breath of the cosmic force. When he, Brahma, breathes, creation comes into existence: a star is born, stars come from chaos.Everything comes into existence. And when he exhales, everything goes out, everything stops, the stars disappear... Existence enters non-existence. That's why I say that in the sixth body it is very difficult. The sixth body is not egocentric, it becomes cosmic. In the sixth body, everything about creation is known - everything about all the world's religions is said. When one talks about creation, one is talking about the sixth body and the knowledge associated with it.When one is talking about the Flood, the end of the world, one is talking about the sixth body. The Great Flood in Judeo-Christian, Babylonian and Syrian mythology, or Praraya in Hinduism, is all one exhaled breath—that belongs to the sixth body. This is a cosmic experience, not an individual one. It's a cosmic experience, you're not there. The person who lives in the sixth body - the person who has reached the sixth body will see everything that is dying as his own death.A Mahavira would not kill an ant not for any principle of non-violence but because it is his death, the death of everything is his death. When you are aware of this, aware of creation and destruction, aware of every moment something comes into existence, every moment something leaves existence, that awareness belongs to the sixth body.Whenever something leaves existence, something else enters. One sun died, another was just born somewhere else; this earth will die, and another earth will be born.Even in the sixth body, we still become attached. "Humanity should not perish!" But everything that is born must perish, even human beings must perish, and hydrogen bombs will be created to destroy it.The moment we create the hydrogen bomb, the very next moment we create a desire to go to other planets, because the hydrogen bomb means that the earth is close to its death. Before this planet dies, life will begin to develop somewhere else. The sixth body is the sense of creation and destruction, in-breathing and out-feeding of the universe. That's why the term "breath of Brahma" is used.Fen Tian is the personality of the sixth body, and in the sixth body you become Brahma.Really, you will be aware of both Brahma and Shiva, the two poles. And Vishnu is beyond the poles. They make up the three gods: Brahma, Vishnu and Mahasi or Shiva. This trinity is the trinity of witnessing. If you are aware of Brahma and Shiva, the creator and the destroyer, if you are aware of both, then you know the third, which is Vishnu.Vishnu is your reality in the sixth body. That's why Vishnu became the most important of the three.Brahma is remembered, but although he is the god of creation, he is only worshiped in one or two temples. He has to be worshiped, but he is not really worshiped. Shiva is even more worshiped than Vishnu because we fear death and worship of him comes from our fear of death. But very few people worship Brahma, the creator god, because there is nothing to be afraid of, you have already been created, so you have nothing to do with Brahma. That's why there is not a single great temple dedicated to him.He is the creator, so every temple should be dedicated to him, but that is not the case. Shiva has the most worshippers and he is everywhere because so many temples are created dedicated to him.Just one stone is enough to symbolize him, otherwise it would be impossible to create so many idols of him.So just one stone is enough.Just put a stone somewhere and Shiva is there. But the mind is so afraid of death that you cannot escape from Shiva, he has to be worshiped -- and he has been worshiped. But Vishnu is the more important god. That's why Rama is an incarnation of Vishnu, Krishna is an incarnation of Vishnu, every divine incarnation is an incarnation of Vishnu.Even Brahma and Shiva worship Vishnu.Brahma may be the creator, but he creates for Vishnu; Shiva may be the destroyer, but he destroys for Vishnu. These are the two breaths of Vishnu: exhalation and inhalation.Brahma is the breath in and Shiva is the breath out. And Vishnu is the real being in the sixth body. ① Rama: One of the important gods worshiped by Hinduism, embodies the warrior spirit and the virtue of virtue. The seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu. —— Annotation In the seventh body, things get even more difficult. The Buddha called the seventh body "nirvanakaya", the body of enlightenment, because the truth, the absolute, exists in the seventh body. The seventh body is the last body, so there is not even creation and destruction there, but there is being and non-being.In the seventh body, creation always belongs to something else, it's not yours.Creation will be of something else, and destruction will be of something else, not yours, when existence is yours and non-existence is yours. In the seventh body, existence and non-existence are two breaths, and one should not identify with either of them. All religions start with those who have reached the seventh body.In the end, language is expanded to a maximum of two words: being and non-being.Buddha speaks the language of non-existent, outgoing breath, so he would say: "Nothingness is the reality".And at the same time, Sankara spoke the language of existence, saying, "Brahman is the ultimate reality." Sankara used affirmative words because he chose to inhale; Buddha used negative words because he chose to inhale. exhale. But as far as language is concerned, these are the only options. The third option is to be real, which cannot be said.At most we can say "absolutely exists" or "absolutely does not exist".This is already saying too much, because the seventh body is beyond these, and beyond is still possible. If I get out of this room, I can say something about this room.If I go beyond this room into other rooms, I can recall this room, I can say something about it.But if I come out of this room and fall into an abyss, then I can't even say anything about this room.Up to now, for each entity, we have been able to verbalize and symbolize its third point, because a higher entity still exists. You can go there and look back, but it is only possible when you get to the seventh body.Beyond the seventh body, nothing can be said, because the seventh body is the last body, beyond which is bodilessness. In the seventh body one has to choose to be or not to be - either the language of negativity or the language of affirmation. There are only two options there. One is the choice of Buddha, who said "nothing is left behind".The other is the choice of Sankara, who says "everything is left behind." In the 7 planes, in the 7 individuals, the life energies are present in various fields on multiple planes in terms of the people involved and the world.Everywhere, wherever life can be found, the process of inhalation and exhalation will be there.Wherever life exists, processes exist.Life without such polarity cannot exist. So prana is energy, the energy of the universe, and we first realize it in the physical body.It first manifests itself as breath, and then like breath it manifests other forms: vibe, charm, thought, life, creation and being. It goes on, and if one becomes aware of it, one always goes beyond it to a third point.Once you reach this third point, you go beyond that body into the next body. You go from the first body into the second, and it goes on and on. If you continue to go beyond, until you reach the seventh body, there is still a body, but after the seventh body, there is no body. Then you become pure, then you are not divided. Then there is no more polarity, then this is nonduality, then this is oneness.
