Meditation: The Art of Ecstasy 奥修 2858Words 2018-03-20
Can LSD (LSD) be used to aid in meditation? LSD can be used as a help, but this help is very dangerous, it is not easy.If you use a spell, it even becomes harder to throw, but if you use narcotics, LSD, it becomes even harder to throw. Once you're on the LSD journey, it's out of your control.Chemicals take control and you are no longer the master. And once you're not master, it's hard to regain that status. Now, chemicals are not slaves, you are. Now, how to control it will not be your choice.Once you use LSD as a help, you turn the master into a slave, and your entire body chemistry is affected as a result.

Your body will start craving LSD.Now, this craving will not be just a craving of the mind, like when you fall under a spell. When you take the narcotic as an aid, the craving becomes part of the body. LSD enters every cell in the body, it changes them, and your internal chemistry becomes different. Then, all the cells of the body start to crave the narcotic, and it will be very difficult to give it up. LSD can be used to bring you into meditation only when your body is ready for it.So, if you ask, is it available in the west, I'd say it's not available in the west at all.It can only be used in the East, but only when the body is fully prepared for it.Yoga has used it, Tantra has used it.There are some sects of tantra and yoga that use LSD as a help, but then they ask to prepare your body first. There is a long process of purifying the body. Now your body has become so pure and you have become such a great master of it that even chemicals cannot become your master. So yoga allows it, but in a special way.

First, your body has to be chemically purified, and then you can control your body so well that even the chemical processes of your body can be controlled. For example, there are some yoga trainings, if you take poison, through a special yoga training, you can order your blood not to mix with the poison, and the poison will pass through the body, not mixed with the blood at all, and finally from excreted in urine. If you can do that, if you can control the chemistry of your body, then you can use anything because you remain a master. In tantra, especially in the tantric left, they use alcohol to aid in meditation. It looks ridiculous, but it's not.The aspirant drinks a certain amount of alcohol and then tries to stay awake without losing consciousness.Gradually, the amount of alcohol will increase, but sobriety must be maintained. When a person drinks alcohol, the body must absorb it.But the mind is still above it, consciousness is not lost. Then, the amount of alcohol increases all the time. With this practice a point is reached when any dose of alcohol is drunk and the mind is still lucid.Only then can LSD be a help.

In the West there are no techniques to purify the body, or to increase the level of consciousness by changing the chemistry of the body. Narcotics are used in the West without any preparation, it does not help, on the contrary, it destroys the whole mind. There are many problems.Once you're on the LSD journey, you'll have a glimpse of something you never knew, or something you never felt.If you start doing meditation, there is a long process. But LSd is not a process. You take it and that process is over. Then the body goes to work.Meditation is a long process, you have to do it for years, only then the effect will come. And when you have experienced a shortcut, it becomes difficult to follow a long process, and the mind craves to go back to the drug.So once you have a glimpse through chemicals, it is very difficult to meditate, to undertake a long process.Meditation requires more energy, more trust, more waiting, and it will be difficult because now you have comparison.

Second, any approach is bad if you don't have full control over it.If you are meditating, you can stop at any moment. If you want to stop, you can stop just this moment, you can come out of it.But you can't stop an LSD journey, once you take LSD, you have to go full circle. Now, you are not the master. Anything that turns you into a slave is not going to help spiritually in the end, because spirituality basically means being your own master, so I'm not going to suggest shortcuts.I'm not against LSD, and sometimes I might be for it, but then a long prep is needed. Then you will be the master. But then using LSD is not a shortcut, it will even take longer than meditation, hatha yoga takes many years to prepare the body - 20 years, 25 years, and then the body is ready, then you can use any Chemicals help without it disintegrating your being. But that way, the process is longer.

That's when LSD can be used, and that's when I'm in favor of it.If you're prepared to spend 20 years preparing your body for LSD, it's not destructive. But the same thing can be done with meditation only takes 2 years.Because the body is thicker, it is more difficult to control it, and the mind is more subtle, so it is easier to control it.The body is farther away from your being, so there is a larger gap between them.If you use your mind, the gap will be smaller. In India, the original method of preparing the body for meditation was Hatha Yoga, which took so long to prepare the body that sometimes Hatha Yoga had to invent methods of prolonging life so that Hatha Yoga could be continued. It is such a long process that 60 or 70 years may not be enough. And there is another problem: if you cannot achieve control in this life, then in the next life you have to start over from ABC because you have a new body. The whole effort is lost.In your next life you don't have a new mind, the old mind continues, so anything achieved through the mind remains with you, and anything achieved through the body is lost with every death .So Hatha Yoga has to invent ways to extend the lifespan to 200 to 300 years so that control can be achieved.

If the control is of the mind then you can change the body, but the preparation of the body can only belong to the body.Hatha Yoga invented many methods so that that process could be done, but then an even greater method was discovered: Raja Yoga - how to control the mind directly. In these ways the body can help a little, but don't worry too much about it.Therefore, the masters of Hatha Yoga say that LSD can be used, but Raja Yoga does not say that LSD can be used, because Raja Yoga does not have a method system for preparing the body, they use direct meditation. Sometimes it happens, just sometimes, and very rarely. That is, if you have a glimpse through LSD without becoming addicted to it, that glimpse can become a desire within yourself to pursue something further. So, it's good to try it once, but it becomes difficult to know where to stop and how to stop. It's good to travel for the first time, it's good to go through it once, you'll become aware of a different world and start looking for it, you'll start looking for it because of it, but then it becomes very It's hard to stop. That's the problem. One shot of LSD is fine if you can stop, but that "if" is a great condition.

Mulla Nasrudin often said he never drank more than one drink. Many friends objected to his statement because they had seen him drink glass after glass.Mulla Nasrudin said: "The second cup was drunk from the first cup, and I only drank one cup. The second cup was drunk from the first cup, and the third cup was drunk from the second cup. At that time I Not the master. I was the master only on the first drink, so how can I say I drank more than one? I only had one drink, and it was only one drink!" In the first time, you are the master, and in the second Then you are not, the first time will try to bring the second time, so it will go on, so it is out of your control. It is easy to start a thing because you are the master, but it is difficult to end a thing because then you are not the master.

So I am not against LSD, and if I am against it, it is conditional. Here's the condition: if you can stay the master, then yes.Use anything, but keep being the master. And if you cannot remain the master, then it is better not to enter a dangerous path at all, not to enter at all.
