Mystery of Wisdom 奥修 13107Words 2018-03-20
Bombay, India, April 1, 1973 first question: Last night you said that Krishna, Christ, Buddha are the highest points of human possibility and growth, and then you said: Yoga and Tantra psychology do not give people ideals, but according to Tantra, there are An ideal is wrong. Referring to these statements, please explain the difference between a heuristic and an ideal. Please tell us, what is the importance of inspiration in the life of a suitor?Tell us, please, whether it is a mistake to be inspired by a great man even in the path of a meditator? Buddha, Krishna, or Christ, they are not your ideals, you don't follow them, if you follow them you will miss them and your own Buddhahood will never be achieved.Buddha is not an ideal, but Buddha-nature is the ideal; Jesus is not an ideal, but Christ-nature is the ideal. The nature of Buddha is different from that of Buddha; the nature of Christ is also different from that of Jesus. Jesus is just one of many Christs. You can become a Christ (God), but you can never become a Jesus; you can become a Buddha, but you can never become Gautama.Gautama (the name of Buddha) became a Buddha, and you can become a Buddha too.Buddha nature is a quality! It is an experience!Of course, when Gautama becomes a Buddha, Gautama has his own individuality, you have your own individuality, when you become a Buddha, the two Buddhas will be different, the innermost experience will be It will be the same, but the expression will be different -- absolutely different, impossible to compare, only at the innermost core will you be the same.

why?Because the innermost core has no individuality, the individuality is only around. The deeper you go, the more the individuality disappears. At the innermost core you are as if there is no one; at the innermost core you are just a deep emptiness, a nothingness - a saga, a zero.Because of this nothingness, there is no difference, because two nothingnesses cannot be different, but two things must be different. Two "somethings" must never be the same, and two "nothings" must never be different. When a person becomes completely empty, becomes a zero point, it is similar to that in Jesus, in Krishna, in Buddha. When you reach the ultimate, you have reached this sagacity -- this nothingness.

But your personality, your expression of ecstasy will be different, Meeera can dance and Buddha can never dance, impossible to imagine Buddha dancing, it looks absurd, but Meeera is like Buddha Sitting under the Bodhi tree also looks absurd, she will lose everything, she will not be a Mira at all, she will be an imitation, the real Mira can only be thought of in ecstasy, in herself Dancing in the madness of love is her expression, but the inner core is the same.In the dancing Mira, and in the Buddha sitting quietly like a statue, the innermost core is the same, but the surroundings are different, dancing and sitting silently are just surroundings part.If you go inside Mira, as you go deeper, the dancing will stop, Mira will stop.If you go deep into the Buddha, the meditation will stop, the personal Buddha will stop.

You can become a Buddha, but you can never become a Gautama Buddha, that's how it is.Don't make them your ideals, otherwise you will start imitating them, and if you imitate, what can you do?You can coerce something from the outside, but that will be a fake phenomenon, you will become fake, just painted on, you will look like Buddha, more than Buddha. You can look like, but that is only an appearance, deep down you remain the same, and this will create a duality, a conflict, an inner pain, you will be in suffering. You can only be in bliss when you are who you really are, you can never feel any joy when you are playing someone else, so remember the message of Tantra: You are the ideal.Don't imitate others, discover yourself.Watch a buddha, you don't need to imitate him, when you watch a buddha, there is a possibility that hits you deep inside you, something beyond can happen, buddha is just a symbol that something has happened In this man, and if it can happen to this man, it can happen to everyone, and then the possibility of the whole of humanity is revealed.

In Jesus, in Mira, in Chaitanya, a possibility is revealed, the future is revealed, you don't need to maintain the status quo, it is possible to go further than the status quo, so Buddha is just a Symbol of the future, don't imitate him, instead let his life, his being, and what happens become a new hunger in you, that's it.Be sure not to be satisfied with your own status quo, let the Buddha become a dissatisfaction in you, a hunger to go beyond, a hunger to go into the unknown. When you reach the pinnacle of your own being, you will know what happened to Buddha under the Bodhi tree, what happened to Jesus on the cross, or what happened to Mira when she danced in the street. You will know, but your expression will be your own.You will not be Mira, Buddha, or Jesus, you will be yourself, and you have never been yourself before.you are unique.

So, say nothing, you cannot predict, no one can say what will happen, no one can say how you will express, will you sing, dance, paint, or be silent, if you can predict say you It will be like this or like that, then you become a machine. Only mechanical devices can be predicted, human consciousness is not predictable, that is its freedom, so when Tantra says: Don't follow ideals, it doesn't mean to negate Buddha, no, it is not a negation, In fact, it means how to find your own Buddha nature.Follow others, you will miss it, follow your own path, you can get it, you can achieve it. A man came to Zen master Bokuyu.Bukyoyo's master was a very famous, well-known, and great person, so someone asked, "Are you really following your master?" Bukyoyo said, "Yes, I was following him. . . . " But the person who asked the question felt something was wrong, because the whole country knew that Bu Keyou did not follow his master at all, so the person said, "Are you trying to lie to me? Everyone knows it, and you know it too. You You didn’t follow your master at all, but you said you followed him, what does that mean?” Bukeyou said, “I followed my master, because my master never followed his master. What he learned there, he is himself!" Following the Buddha, following Jesus, is to do this, to do this! They are unique, and if you truly follow them, you must be unique too.

Buddha never imitated anyone, and only when he stopped imitating completely did he attain enlightenment. When he becomes himself, when he leaves all paths and all teachings, and all dogmas, he can achieve. If you imitate him, you don't imitate him. This is not plausible, it just seems so.If you follow him in a dead routine, if you imitate him, then you are not imitating him. He never imitates anybody. Only in this way can he become the peak.Know him, but don't imitate him, then a subtle imitation will happen, but that is inner, that is not an imitation. In Nietzsche's great work "Thus Spoke Zarathustra", Zarathustra's final message to his disciples is: "Look at me, I have told you all that I have to tell you, now , look out for me, don't imitate me, forget me, leave me, and go away."

This is the last message of all great masters, no great master wants to make you a puppet, because in doing so he is killing you, in doing so he becomes a murderer, he will help You become yourself, and if you cannot be yourself in the intimacy and communication with your Master, then you can be yourself there. Mastering means giving you a chance to be yourself.Only small minds, narrow minds, they pretend to be masters, but they are not masters, only they try to impose themselves on you.The great masters will help you to grow in your own way, the great masters will create many obstacles so that you do not become a victim of imitation, they will create every necessary obstacle! They won't allow it because your tendency is to imitate. That is easy, imitation is easy; it is laborious to be real, and when you imitate you do not feel that you are responsible for it: the master is responsible. No great master will allow anyone to imitate, he will create so many barriers that you cannot imitate him, he will throw you back into yourself by various means.

I remember a Chinese saint who was celebrating his master's enlightenment day, and many followers came and said, "How come we never heard that this man is your master, we never knew you belonged to this man." The old man is dead. They said, "We didn't know until today that you were celebrating your master's enlightenment day. Is this man your master? How to put it! We have never seen you with him." The saint replied, "I was with him once, but he refused, he refused to be my master, because of his rejection, I was able to be who I am, and I am what I am because of his rejection." .I am his disciple, he could have accepted me, then I put all the responsibility on him, but he refused, and he is the last one, there is no comparison, when he refused, I couldn't Go to anyone else, because he is the only refuge, and if he refuses, then there is no point, no purpose in going anywhere, and I will not go to anyone from now on, he is the last. If he Accept me, I will definitely forget about myself, but he refused, and he refused very rudely, that rejection became a shock and a challenge, and made me decide never to look for anyone again, if this person refuses, then None of them were worth looking for, and then I worked on my own, and it wasn't until then that I came to understand why he said no. He threw me back into myself, and only then did I know he accepted me , otherwise why would he refuse?"

This may seem contradictory, but the kinetic energy of the deeper consciousness works like this.Masters are mysterious, you can't judge them unless the whole thing is happening.Otherwise you can't be sure what they're doing, you'll only be able to know what they're doing after the fact, that's not possible at the moment, you can't tell halfway through what's going on, you can't know what he's doing, but one thing is Definitely: Imitation is not allowed. Inspiration is another thing, and through inspiration you start that journey, not starting any effort of imitation, but your way into yourself.Inspiration is just a challenge. There is a hunger that arises and you move.

Tantra says: Be inspired, but don't become an imitator, always remember that you are your own goal and no one else can be your goal unless you achieve it and you can say: "I have achieved mine Destiny, now I'm satisfied." That point, otherwise don't stop, keep going beyond, keep being dissatisfied, keep acting, if you haven't sketched out any ideals, then you can be fulfilled by everyone. When you cling to an ideal, you become closed. If you are attached to Buddha, then Jesus is not for you, you are attached to an ideal, you try to imitate him, then all the opposite, all the different things are hostile in your mind. That's why followers are always enemies of other followers, they create enmity in the world. If you're not a copycat then you can try water from many rivers and many wells and if they taste different that's ok, it's beautiful and you'll be filled with it, then you're right Open up to Harvey, Christ, Zarathustra, and everyone, they inspire you toward yourself. They are not ideals, but they all help you to be who you are, they are not pointing to themselves, they are pointing to you in different ways, in different ways, they are all pointing to one goal, and that goal is you. Laura Huxley wrote a book called You Are Not a Target. But I will tell you that you are the target of all these -- Buddha, Mahavira, Krishna, Christ, etc. They all point to you, you are the target, you are the target.Life is trying and struggling through you to reach a unique peak, and you should be happy about it!Be grateful for it!Life is trying to achieve a unique purpose through you, and that purpose can only be achieved through you, no one else can achieve it, you exist for it, your destiny is for it, so don't Waste time trying to imitate others, but that doesn't mean uninspired, in fact, if you don't imitate anyone, you can be enlightened easily, if you imitate others, you become very rigid, you will not be spiritual Enlightenment.Enlightenment is an opening, while imitation is closed. second question: You say that Western psychology is based on Freud's idea of pathological psychology, while Eastern psychology measures a person on the basis of the supernormal, but in the modern world, when I look around, I see Most people fit into the category of Freudian pathological psychology, only one person in a million fits into the category of supernormal, and besides, only a few people actually fit into society's ideal of "normal".In today's world, why is there so much pathology, and what do you think is the definition of "normal"? There are many things that must be understood. It's not like that, it's not that few reach their peak, there are many, but you don't have eyes to see them, whenever you look around, you only see what you can see, how can you see that What are you not able to see?Your ability to see determines many things, you hear what you can hear, not what is there. If a Buddha passes, you may not recognize him; when the Buddha passes, you are really there, but you miss it.you have there! You were there when Jesus was alive, but you crucified him.It is difficult to see because you are looking in your own way, you have concepts, you have categories, you have attitudes, and you see Buddha and Jesus through those. To you, Jesus looks like a criminal. When Jesus was crucified, he was crucified with two other criminals, with a thief on each side of him, three crucified together, and Jesus was in the middle of the two thieves ,why?Somehow, he was considered an immoral criminal, that was your judgment at the time.Even if Jesus returns now, you will judge him in the same way because your judgment and standard have not changed. Jesus is with everyone and with everyone. He stays at a prostitute's house and the whole village is against him, but his values are different. The prostitute came and washed his feet with her tears, and she said, "I am guilty, I am a sinner, and you are my only hope, if you come to my house, I will relieve my guilt, I will be alive again, and if Jesus can come to my house, then I will be accepted." So Jesus went, and he stayed there, but the whole village was against him. What kind of person is he to be with a prostitute? But for Jesus, love is value, no one has ever given him such an "invitation to love", he couldn't say no, and if Jesus said no, he couldn't be an enlightened person, then he was just Seeking the respect of society, yet he does not seek the respect of society. In another village, the whole village came to Jesus with a sinful woman. It says in the Old Testament, "If anyone sins, she must be stoned to death. Men need not be like this, but women must be stoned to death, because only women sin, and men never sin, because all these scriptures It was written by a man, which is a big problem, so they went to ask Jesus, they were playing a trick, because if Jesus said, "No, don't kill this woman, don't judge. "Then they can say: 'You violate the scriptures. "And if Jesus said, 'Yes, kill this woman, stone her to death. "Then they'll say, 'Where's your message of loving your enemies, where's your message of don't judge lest you be judged. " So, they are playing a trick, they are creating a dilemma -- a logical dilemma. No matter what jesus said, he was bound to fall into a trap, but you can't trap an enlightened man, that's impossible, the more you try to trap him, the more you will fall into his Trap, so Jesus said, "The scriptures are absolutely true, but only those who have never sinned come forward and put the stone in your hands and kill this woman, but only those who have never sinned." The crowd started to disappear, and those who stood in the front backed away, because it was up to someone to stone the woman. They became enemies of Jesus, and when I say "they" I mean "you".You are here all the time, but you cannot recognize, you cannot see, you are blind! That's why you have been thinking that the world is bad, unenlightened and everyone is sick, that is not the case, but you can only see sickness because you are sick; you can understand sickness because you is sick; you cannot know health because you have never been healthy, and the language of health has been forgotten by you. I have heard about a Jewish mystic named Baal Shem.Someone asked Balsham, "Which one is more important, wealth or wisdom, and which one is more valuable?" There was a reason why that person asked this question, so Balsham said with a smile: "Of course, wisdom is more important, and which is more valuable?" Valuable." Then the man said, "So, Balshham, second question: I see you all the time, smart guy, serving rich people, you always go to rich people's houses, but I never I have never seen any rich people serve you, a smart person, and you say that wisdom is more valuable than wealth, so please explain this phenomenon and let me know." Ballsham laughed and said, "Yes, wise people go to rich people, because they are smart, so they know the value of wealth, and those rich people, they just have money, nothing else, they can't understand wisdom Of course, I go to the rich because I understand the value of wealth, and those poor idiots, they only have money and nothing else, they can't understand the value of wisdom, so they never come to me. " If you see a saint go to a palace, you say, "OK! This man is not a saint." That's how you judge.Because you see it through your own eyes, wealth means something to you, so you judge it that way.You can only follow a saint who throws away wealth, because you are money addicted, you see through you, and whatever you say is more about you than about anyone else, it is always about you, You are the object of reference. When you say Buddha is not enlightened, you don't mean that, you just mean: "To me, he doesn't look enlightened." But how old are you?Does enlightenment depend on your attitude, your way, your point of view? You have fixed categories of thought and you continue to use that, to you pathological psychology is recognizable, but enlightenment is not, you cannot know something higher than yourself, remember that Remember, you can only understand what is lower than you, or at most you can only understand what is at the same level as you, you cannot understand what is higher, that is impossible. To know the higher you have to go higher. You can only understand the lower. Seen in this way, a madman cannot understand you.A madman cannot understand you, he sees through his madness, but you can understand a madman, he is lower than you, normal people can understand those who are down, sick, abnormal, but he Higher people cannot be understood.Even Floyd was terrified. Jung wrote in his memoirs: Once he wanted to analyze Freud's dream. He was one of Freud's greatest disciples, and they traveled to America on the same boat, so for a few days, they were all together, and one day Jung got enough courage, he was the closest A close disciple, he told Freud, "I want to analyze your dream, so please tell me your dream, any dream, we will be together many, many days, so I can analyze it. "What about Freud?Freud said: "What do you mean! If you analyze my dreams, I will lose my authority. I will not be able to tell you my dreams." Freud, the greatest psychologist of our time, could have suffered from the same disease as anyone else. When Jung said, "I'm going to leave you," he fell out of his chair and became unconscious, and he passed out, and for hours, he was unconscious because of "a disciple is going to leave him" The concept shocked him, and it was only a disciple who said, "I am going to leave you." He was so shocked. If you tell a Buddha, "I am going to leave you," can you imagine him falling down and becoming unconscious?Even if all 10,000 disciples leave him, he will be very happy, so happy that if you leave, he will feel very good. Why?Your psychologist is the same as you, they are not from above, they have the same problem, so a psychologist will go to another psychologist for analysis, it is not like a doctor to another doctor for treatment , for doctors, that's no problem, they can be forgiven, but for psychologists, that seems absurd, one psychologist goes to another psychologist for analysis?what does that mean? That means he is an ordinary person, and psychology is just a profession. Buddha does not engage in any profession, he is not an ordinary person, he has realized a new truth, he has reached a new state of existence, now he can see from the peak, he can understand you, but you cannot understand him, No matter how hard he tries, you won't really understand him, and unless you look beyond his language and look at his personality, you will continue to misunderstand him; unless you are caught by his magnetism and not caught in His language, otherwise you will go on misunderstanding him; unless you become like a piece of iron, attracted by his magnetism, you will not be able to understand him, you will be misunderstanding, that's why you cannot see, but There are always enlightened people in this world.Morbid psychology is recognized because we are pathological, we can see it, and we understand it. Second, in the whole history of mankind, even if only one person has ever become enlightened, even if there is only one Buddha, he is enough to show his personality to you, if it can happen to a person, why can't it happen to you ?If there is a seed that can become a flower, then every seed has the potential to become a flower, you may be only a seed, but now you know your future, now you know that much more is possible. But for the human mind, things happen just the opposite, it always happens like this. You see a cocoon, and then it breaks, and a butterfly flies out.But for man it seems completely opposite. Man is born like a butterfly, then he enters a cocoon; every child is more like a Buddha than he will ever be.Watch a child, watch his eyes, they are more Buddha-like than any grown man's eyes, the way he sits, the way he moves, the grace, the beauty, the being in the moment, even his anger Everything is beautiful, it is so indulgent, whenever anything is indulgent, it is beautiful. Watch a little child jump and scream when he is angry, just look!Don't think about yourself and think that he is bothering you, just pay attention to the phenomenon, that anger is also beautiful, because when a child is angry, he is very full and unreserved, he is anger. He's so real, so unrepressed, he doesn't hold back, he's angry, and becomes angry.Watch a child, when he loves, when he welcomes you, when he is near you, he is like a Buddha. But soon you will help him, society will help him into that cocoon, and then he will be in that cocoon. We go from cradle to grave right away so there's so much sick psychology because no one is allowed to be natural and sick psychology is forced on you and you're put in a cage and you're put in a dead Then your natural nature will suffer, and you will not be able to get out, so there are so many sicknesses. This sickness is man-made. When human beings become more civilized, they become more sick, so The rule now is this: If your country has fewer madmen, then it is clear that you are less civilized; if in your country madmen are increasing, everyone is mad, everyone Go to a psychoanalyst, then you can know very clearly that your country is the most civilized country in the world. When any country is at its best, everyone goes crazy, civilization drives you crazy because it doesn't allow you to be your natural self, everything is repressed, and when repressed, everything is disturbed , you can't even breathe naturally, let alone anything else, even your breathing is not natural, you can't breathe deeply because society doesn't allow you to breathe deeply. Breathe deeply because if you breathe deeply you cannot suppress your instinct, if you want to suppress anything you can watch the breath change inside you, if you are angry and you want to suppress it, what are you going to doYou will stop breathing immediately. When you are angry, the breathing deepens because anger needs a hot flow of blood in you, anger needs more oxygen, anger needs some chemical changes in you, and through breathing, those changes happen, so whenever you feel Angry and you try to suppress it, you will not be able to breathe naturally, you will take superficial breathing. Watch a child, when you forbid him to do something, immediately his breathing becomes superficial, he cannot breathe deeply, because if he breathes deeply, he cannot obey your orders, then he will Do whatever he likes, so, not even a man breathes deeply, if you breathe deeply, your sex center is massaged from within, and society is against this.Take slow, shallow breaths, don't go deep, then the sex center won't be hit! In fact, civilized man has become incapable of having a deep orgasm because he cannot take a deep breath. In the act of love your breathing has to be very deep, involving your whole body, otherwise you will not be able to orgasm, you will be frustrated.A lot of people come to me and they say, "There is no joy in sex, we go on doing it, it's like a mechanical act, we just lose energy, and when it's done, we feel frustrated and depressed." The reason is not sex , the reason is just: they don't get into it fully, it becomes localized, only semen is released, and then they feel weak; through it, nothing is gained. If, like an animal, the whole body is involved; if every cell of the body is aroused and begins to vibrate, if the whole body becomes like an electricity and the senses are active; if you become egoless, mindless, Thought does not exist; if you are the body, moving in rhythm, vibrating in rhythm, then you will have a deep joy in it, you will feel relaxed, you will be fulfilled in a sense. But this cannot happen because you cannot breathe deeply, you are afraid, watch the body, the body has two ends, one end is for ingestion, your head is for ingestion, the upper end is for ingestion of food and air, receiving impressions, thoughts, and anything. You ingest from the top half, which is one end.The lower body is for letting out, it is not for taking in, you cannot take anything in from the lower body, the lower body is to let out, to let go; you take in from the upper body and let out from the lower body. But the civilized man just takes in and never gives out, and this creates a sickness, so you go crazy, it's like eating something and storing it all the time, never excreting it, you will go crazy. The other end must be used.If someone is a miser, he will naturally become constipated. Watch out for anyone who is miserly, he will suffer from constipation. Miserliness is a kind of spiritual constipation. Those who are against sex, they don't know what they are doing is an act of miserliness, they continue to take in food, but they don't give off sexual energy, then they will go crazy, there is no need to release energy only from the sex center, there is another One possibility - release the energy from the sahasra above the head, but anyway the energy has to be released, you cannot store it, nothing in the world can be stored. The world is a flow, it is a river.Ingest and then out, if you ingest and never out, you will go mad. This is how it happens: everyone is taking and no one is giving. When a moment of giving comes, you become afraid, you just want to take, even for love, you want someone to love you, but the basic need is that you should love someone, then you will Be released, if someone loves you, that's not going to help you, because then you're still ingesting, both poles have to be balanced, and then health happens, and that's what I call a normal human being, A normal person is one who takes in and gives in parallel, in balance, so that he is normal. A man who takes in too much and gives out of balance, I call that man an abnormal man, he doesn't give at all, even if he gives sometimes, it has to be forced, it's not voluntary, You can take something from him, you can force him to give, but he will not give, his giving is like an enema, it is unnatural. You can force him, but he won't poop on his own, he's not ready yet.It is not normal to go on hoarding everything, and then he will go mad because the whole system is disturbed, which is not normal, and a supernormal person is one who gives and never takes. These are three situations: abnormal people only take but never give; normal people give and take in balance; and supernormal people only give but never take. The Buddha is a giver, and the madman is a taker. He stands on the opposite end of the Buddha. If the two ends are balanced, you are a normal person, at least you must become a normal person, because if you are not normal, you will be It will fall down and become abnormal. That's why "giving" is so emphasized in all religions.give!Whatever it is; give, don't think in terms of taking, then you will become supernatural, but that is a very distant thing.First of all be normal, balanced, whatever you take in, give it back to the world, you just become the channel, don't hoard, then you will never go crazy, you will never become neurotic, spiritual Schizophrenic, psychotic, or whatever you want to call it. My definition of a normal person is: a balanced person, a perfectly balanced person.Nothing is retained, he takes the breath in and lets it out, the breath that comes in and the breath that goes out are the same, balanced.
