If the impetus of the qi movement has passed the level where the forebrain goes down the nose root (mountain root), and can be sucked back and down with the guidance of the heart force, it will rotate to the brain and cerebellum in an [O│O] shape. the middle (diencephalon), and the upper part of the head to the top. (Taoists call this the Nihuan Palace, and Tantric and Yoga techniques call it the crown wheel and the upper Sanskrit chakra.) Then the mind is calm and the body is upright. Generally, those who pay attention to the Taoist practice of alchemy or internal strength are considered to be the governor channel The phenomenon of complete opening. In fact, it’s not entirely true. Don’t mistake it: it’s just the best symbol of the change of qi movement along the Du Meridian, which initially opens the central nervous system, stimulates the diencephalon, and promotes the balanced distribution of endocrine (hormone). However, some people often have temporary symptoms such as tingling pain at the top of the head, or there will be swelling of the top of the head, as if something is pressing on the top, or the phenomenon of tight hoops on the top of the head. This is all because the air vessels of the cranial nerves are not fully opened, or because they are overly pulled by the sensation. If you can let go of your attention, as if letting go of your mind and letting it go, you will gradually feel a cool, water-like feeling in the center of the top of your head, which is extremely comfortable and refreshing. This kind of phenomenon, in terms of Buddhist practice of meditation and meditation, is the prelude phenomenon of tranquility. Therefore, the troubles and delusions can be weakened and enter a preliminary sedation. If the sweet and cool body fluid (endocrine emitted by the pituitary gland) decreases due to this, in terms of Taoist cultivation methods, it is considered to be "enlightening the top", "sprinkling nectar on Sumeru", or describing it as "jade liquid". "Gongjiu" and so on, and think that this is the longevity medicinal wine for rejuvenation. Although it is too mysterious, it does have the effect of curing diseases and prolonging life for the human body.Even, it can widen the appetite, eat a lot of food and be full at any time, digest and completely absorb the nutrition of the food; at the same time, you can not eat without feeling too hungry, or be convinced and patient. At this stage, being radiant and full of energy is only an incidental phenomenon.

In addition, when the Qi movement is actually passing through the brain (including the front and rear brain), there must be a slight cracking sound inside the brain, which is caused by the cranial nerves between the passage of the Qi movement and the failure of the passage. It is not surprising that this kind of sound is equivalent to the sound of one's heart and blood circulation when a person clasps his ears with both hands. This is the sound of brain waves vibrating, and the current mystical research in the West (the United States and other places) is called alpha brain waves (α-WAVE), which is the effect of this sound. However, sometimes, when there is an underlying disease due to obsessive attention or upper focus, the mind often vibrates slightly, as if suffering from a head-wind disease. If you don't know how to treat it, and you can't relax your sensory attention, it will become a nasty habit of sickness. If you know the method of pure mind, tranquility, and single-minded mind, you will naturally enter the tranquil state of "lightness" mentioned above. If a person who is born with extraordinary intelligence, even though he has not learned to meditate, may be in his youth or youth, this phenomenon will naturally occur. But from a medical point of view, this can also be called a phenomenon of nervousness. If there are no other factors to stimulate it, it is not a disease, which must be explained here.

During the process of sitting in meditation, if the physical feeling of Qi movement has been achieved as mentioned above: indeed there have been waist (tailbone), shoulder back (Jiaji), back of the head (jade pillow), top of the head (Nihuan), From a general point of view, gradual reactions such as between the eyebrows (Yintang) are considered to be phenomena that have opened up the Du Meridian (spinal nerve - a central nervous system). In fact, this is just a preliminary physiological reaction, not a real opening of the governor channel. There are various symptoms and special symbols of sincerity in the middle but outside the outside when the Du Meridian is really opened up, and it has a mutual echo effect with the Ren Meridian (self-discipline nerve) at any time.If there is only a general physiological reaction, it is still insignificant.

When the qi mechanism is still hovering in the brain after these step-by-step reactions, the most critical part is the brain, which often feels painful and uncomfortable, or heavy and drowsy. It even affects the eye nerves, eardrums, gums, nasal cavity, etc., and similar pain occurs.Or there are reactions such as top-heavy, short-tempered, easy to get angry, high spirits, constipation, difficulty falling asleep, and restless dreams even during sleep. In this way, the situation of sitting in meditation and passing through the Du channel has more adverse consequences than those who do not learn to sit in meditation, so why bother to learn to sit in meditation? There is no need to be frightened by this. What I have said above is just a general experience. It is possible for these phenomena to occur. The occurrence of these phenomena also depends on the age, sex, physical and mental health of the individual, and it is not necessarily the case. Moreover, the pain-like feeling caused by the reaction of meditation is not really like the pain of illness, but only to say that there is "similarity" and "possibility".

In short, after sitting quietly until the qi movement reaches the brain, at least a period of effect has already been achieved. It is extremely necessary to "keep the heart quiet" and wait for the qi movement to descend to the throat (Taoists call it the twelfth floor) and the chest (Tanzhong). , epigastric cavity (middle palace), lower abdomen (dantian), and reach the top of the reproductive organs through the kidneys. This way down is the so-called "Renmai" route of Taoism and "Neijing" medical science.
