Chapter 14 The second part of Taoist "Book of Changes" and Chinese medical theory-4

To continue the research, according to the philosophy part of Chinese medicine as the principle, that is, to take the theoretical basis as the research policy. At this point, we should give up the relationship first, and focus on the five elements, stems and branches, because yin and yang, the five elements, and the stems and branches that merge with Taoism are the most basic ideas of medical theory. In medical books, there are many five elements, stems and branches. It is very difficult to read medical books to understand the stems and branches of yin and yang. Is Zou Yan nonsense? During the Warring States period, there was a well-known theoretical physicist in Qi State named Zou Yan (Zou Yan was not alone in history).

This Zou Yan was also a Yin-Yang master. At that time, his disciples were extremely numerous, and he was welcome to give lectures everywhere. His views are extraordinary. Regarding the definition of the so-called world, he advocated a view that divides the world into nine continents. China is just one of the nine continents. It is called Chixian Shenzhou. At that time, he said something like this, Many people called him nonsense and absurdity. This is a master who integrated the theory of yin and yang, and the theories of the five elements, heavenly stems, and earthly branches of the yin and yang family later became the basic principles of medical science.

our little world Taoists say that the universe is a big world, and the human body is a small world. Regardless of the source of life, Taoism believes that the role of human life is the same as that of heaven and earth. Let’s start with the existing phenomena. The "Neijing" summarizes a human body into twenty-six parts, which are in line with the laws of heaven and earth. Cooperate. For example: the human head is round, on top of the whole body, like the sky; while our feet are below, flat and square, like the earth. Our eyes are shining, aren't they the sun and the moon between heaven and earth?

The seven orifices plus the two orifices of the upper and lower body are just like the nine continents in the sky. When people are happy or angry, they are like thunder and lightning between heaven and earth. Our limbs, like the four seasons of the year, are thus combined into twenty-six, compared to the heaven and the earth: the day before feet left eye sun right eye moon Jiuqiao Jiuzhou Happy and angry thunder and lightning Four seasons five viscera and five tones Six internal organs and six laws Hot and cold winter and summer Ten refers to the ten days of ancient times (ten days are called ten days)

Twelve Ribs Twelve Hours couple yin and yang Three hundred and sixty-five joints Three hundred and sixty-five days twelve joints december knee shoulder alpine deep axillary popliteal valley Twelve Meridians (Twelve Meridians) Rivers Wei Qi Quan Qi velvet grass Lie up day and night Tooth twenty-eight constellations Section Ground Hill Bone Mountain Stone Tendon trees (Moon sleepy) meat color (Sometimes people are barren, and sometimes the land doesn't grow grass) The above are the twenty-six human figures in the "Huangdi Neijing", which match the shape of the heaven and the earth. Is this statement reasonable?Or is it far-fetched?There is also a saying that this is thought after the Wei and Jin Dynasties.

A Tale of Ten Suns Among the twenty-six images of the human body and the heaven and earth, we talked about the ten suns in ancient times, and the ten suns were ten suns. In the ancient mythology, there is also a story that said that out of the ten suns in ancient times, nine of them were shot down by Hou Yi, and only one remained, which lowered the temperature between the heaven and the earth, so that plants could grow, which was suitable for human beings. life. In short, no matter how you say it, the world we live in now is in the solar system. But the idea of ten suns is consistent with the Buddhist cosmology and worldview.

In the Buddhist world view theory, the planetary system including a sun and a moon is the unit of a world, and the place where we live is the earth in a solar system. However, in the infinite universe, there are many planetary worlds similar to our solar system. What is the most representative?Count it as ten!do it!Ten thousand! A thousand solar systems are called the small thousand worlds. One thousand small thousand worlds are called middle thousand worlds. One thousand middle thousand worlds are called the great thousand worlds. Therefore, in the Three Thousand Great Thousand Worlds, humans are smaller than sand, and the universe is so vast and boundless. To say that there are ten suns is just a slight description.

However, the ancient ten days are just an explanation of the boundless universe. color sound film Regardless of whether the human body is in perfect harmony with the heaven and the earth, the human body is undeniably full of sound, color, breath and smell, just like the colorful and exquisite sound movies. If you use the method of the five elements to express it with the nature, you can list the following simple table: (see page 128) After looking at this watch, we realize that each of us has a small world, a meat machine that is really diverse, colorful, and delicious. One of the most mysterious things in this ingenious machine is the qi in it.

what is qigong Everyone has heard of qigong healing, right? What is the basis of real Qigong? It turns out that people who study Taoism have long discovered the importance of the six characters, which is actually the impact of the six sounds on the health of human organs. These six tones are the so-called six breaths: Hush, mouth, heh, blow, hoo, hee. Those Taoists who practice immortality face the east in the early morning, and at the moment when their anger is rising, they utter these six sounds to channel the energy channels in their bodies. When pronouncing the six tones, do not blow loudly, but softly, the volume of the sound depends on what you can hear, and keep practicing until the stomach is exhausted each time.

Patients who were ineffective with acupuncture and moxibustion were found to be quite effective with this kind of qigong treatment, so the method of qigong treatment or fitness has evolved.Of course, the method is not so simple, another matter. Can music heal? Seeing that the five viscera are combined with the five tones in the table above, we also talked about the relationship between lulu (music) and the five elements of viscera in the previous two times, which proves that music and the human body are absolutely related. Take western medicine as an example. It has long been proved that music affects humans and animals. Playing some kind of music in the chicken coop can make the chickens lay more eggs, and the sound in the pasture can affect the production of dairy cows.

When it comes to us humans, some music lulls us to sleep, and some makes our youth dance. Therefore, Western medicine has long used sound therapy, and the earliest Chinese medical books often mentioned timbre, that is, treating patients with sound. As for the Taoists, sometimes there is no need to take medicine at all, but to use sound to make people better. how the color affects the patient According to the indications of the five elements and colors, at least the patient's condition can be judged from the color of his body, there is no doubt about it. According to this principle, color has a great influence on people. Therefore, color, like sound, is used as a factor and method for medical consideration. Modern Western medicine also pays attention to the treatment of color. From the current actual situation, we can also prove in turn that it is absolutely correct and reasonable for Taoism to match the sound and color with the organs of the human body. Green vegetables and radishes and "Materia Medica" In the previous list of the five elements, there are five flavors that cooperate with internal organs. When it comes to five flavors, we have to read "Materia Medica" (Materia Medica is a medicinal plant). According to such credible legends, the original "Shen Nong's Materia Medica" only included more than 70 herbs. It is the expansion of the scope. Green vegetables and radishes, children's poop, and human excrement have all been included in the compendium of "Materia Medica". Li Shizhen, a famous doctor in the Ming Dynasty, classified and renamed various medicines, which can be said to be the most valuable book on Chinese medicine. Who knows the word "person" When it comes to medicine, it is really an amazing university. It is almost necessary to master astronomy, geography, and the most important knowledge-"people". Let's take a look at the word "person" first. Left-handedness is yang, right-handedness is yin, and one yin and one yang constitute a human being. Look at us people again. From the middle of the human body, the two nostrils, two eyes, and two ears are not the hexagram of Kun? From the bottom of the man, one mouth, plus the other two holes in the lower body, are three Yang lines, forming the Qian Gua. Therefore, man is the hexagram of Earth, Heaven and Tai, which means balance. Even if this statement is a joke!It is indeed not easy to know "people", but to be a doctor, the most basic condition is to know "people". There is a saying in traditional Chinese medicine: "the doctor has the meaning". Only by being smart and using the rigid principles flexibly can we deal with the flexible "people". Therefore, medicine is the science of wisdom. The first step in Chinese medicine, understanding the condition and diagnosing the patient, starts with four words. look, hear, ask Everyone knows this, but what exactly do these four words contain? Look - Physiognomy In the Qing Dynasty, there was a famous and talented doctor named Chen Xiuyuan. Regarding the so-called "hope", there is a poem as follows. In spring, summer, autumn, winter and long summer, blue, yellow, red, white, and black are suitable. The left liver and the right lung are in the shape of cheeks, the heart, forehead, kidney and nose govern the spleen. It is auspicious for the survivors to be aware of the location, but it is sad if they are restrained during the trial. It is even more difficult to distinguish the old and the new in the dark, and the faint yellow of the emblem is more hopeful. This poem explains the principle and method of diagnosing patients by appearance, that is to say, the complexion of a person can be the same as the four seasons, and match with the color to diagnose the disease. The dark complexion on the left side of the cheek indicates liver disease, the dark gray color on the right side indicates lung disease, if the heart is diseased, the color of the forehead will be abnormal, the kidney disease is manifested in the palate, and the nose shows the problem of the spleen. Good, if you encounter restraint, it is of course unlucky. If the color is not good, it will get older and worse for a long time. If there is a slight yellow gas on the face, it proves that the stomach gas is rising, which is a sign of recovery. So the so-called "look" is to use the method of looking at the patient's condition to investigate the patient's condition, which also includes looking at the tongue coating, etc., and all factors that can be observed by the eyes to judge the condition. Smell - listen to the patient's voice According to the production and restraint of the five elements and the coordination of the internal organs, the patient's condition can be judged by sound. A patient with liver disease who makes angry noises, loses his temper easily, and gets angry easily must have liver disease; if he often laughs at himself, then his disease must be focused on the heart. Spleen disease means more thoughts. In addition to general overuse of the brain and neurological problems, when one is sick, one thinks more than usual. Suffering from lung disease loves to cry. Kidney disease often groans, turning around, bending over, standing up and sitting down, pain all over the body, and often making humming sounds, it must be due to weak kidney disease. In fact, it is quite difficult to distinguish the disease from the sound, and this aspect will be explained in more detail later. Ask—the patient's own feelings I showed the patient a picture and noticed the change in the patient's voice. Now I have to ask the patient about his own situation and his own personal experience. Regarding the scope of the question, Chen Xiuyuan also compiled the main points: One question about cold and heat, two questions about sweat, three questions about head and body, and four questions about convenience. Five questions about food and six questions about the chest, seven deaf people should argue when they are thirsty. Nine questions about the old disease and ten questions about the cause. Women must especially ask about their menstrual period, as delays in rapid closure and collapse can all be seen. Add another piece to report to pediatrics, smallpox and measles. Because of these key points, it can be seen that in the treatment of ancient Chinese medicine, patients must be carefully examined in advance, which is equivalent to the current comprehensive examination. General practitioners, including pediatrics, gynecology, etc. cut - pulse diagnosis Diagnosing the pulse is the most profound science. In fact, it requires long-term and multi-faceted experiments before it can be achieved. Beginners often start with the diagnosis of pigs and dogs, and try the lifeless pulse. What happened? Things, let’s touch the veins of life, such as pigs and dogs, if you catch them, you should feel their veins. The reason behind it is as follows in Chen Xiuyuan’s poem: The most difficult to know under Weimang's finger, Tiaoxu found Wu Zhisi. The three parts hold the law, It is easy to see that the Eight Principles are good rules. Stomach and water are enough for people, The earth implements the Chong and the veins and snakes. Dirty qi depends entirely on the test of life and restraint, When the weather is right, let's peek at the Tao. Yang is a floating number and is hyperactive, Yin is darker and more humble. It's not a good omen when exogenous pathogenic factors come, The internal deficiency and yang trap are really sad. All those who are partial to victory will become sick, Sudden change is very special. Only these few words account for it, The pulse meridian supplements the total fragmentation. Strange tales of medical cases In the Qing Dynasty, there was a famous doctor, Ye Tianshi, known as the star doctor of heaven. Many legendary and amazing medical cases later were mostly linked to him. Once, Ye Tianshi passed by on the road, and there seemed to be blood stains under the coffin. At that time, Ye Tianshi stopped him and asked who was in the coffin. When he learned that it was a woman who died of dystocia, Ye Tianshi immediately ordered him to open the coffin, insisting that there was no one in the coffin. People are not dead, he can treat them. At that time, opening the coffin was a major event, and Ye Tianshi was in charge of opening the coffin.Ye Tianshi used acupuncture and moxibustion to treat the dead man's heart. After a while, the baby was born and the mother became alive again. It turned out that according to Ye Tianshi's judgment, the mother fainted for a while, not really dead. Another day, when Ye Tianshi was playing chess with his friends, a man came suddenly, his wife had dystocia, moaning in pain, and asked Ye Tianshi for help. Ye Tianshi grabbed a handful of copper coins on the chessboard, went to the mother's house, entered the gate, and immediately threw the copper coins on the wall, and there was a loud crash. When the mother in the house was in pain, she was shocked, and the baby fell to the ground. This is really a doctor of heaven. Many people asked Ye Tianshi why, Ye Tianshi said: Everyone loves money, money is needed for death, and money is needed for life. Although this was almost a joke, Ye Tianshi probably understood the nervousness of the mother and used his voice to divert attention, no wonder he was called a heavenly doctor. Three Finger Zen There is a saying in "Book of Rites": "If you don't take the medicine for three generations, you won't take the medicine." Many people think that this doctor has to be a doctor for three generations before he can be asked to treat illnesses. In fact, the three generations do not mean the three generations. The three generations refer to: 1. "Huangdi Neijing", "Spiritual Coffin", "Suwen"; 2. "Shen Nong's Materia Medica"; Proficiency in these three items is a necessary condition for a doctor. Therefore, those who do not understand the three worlds cannot be regarded as doctors and cannot take their medicine. What "Tai Su" focuses on is entirely about the Qi pulse. After the Song and Ming Dynasties, those who understand "Tai Su" are called three-finger Zen. They can not only understand the patient's condition after feeling the pulse, but also understand the poor Through wealth.Pulse theory is really a mysterious and mysterious knowledge, no wonder these people are called three-finger Zen.
