How to practice Buddhism 南怀瑾 8040Words 2018-03-20
content summary. The origin of this lecture. What did Shakya realize. Reference classic. Liberation and enlightenment. Cause and effect. Cultivate witnesses and perform vows. Four plus lines. We are teaching this course this time because of a karma, so I will report it here first. If you are studying Buddhism, Zen, or meditation, you can take advantage of this opportunity to sit cross-legged, which will have great benefits. It doesn’t matter whether you have kung fu or not, let’s practice the two legs first.Continuing with what I just said, I will talk about the reasons for starting this course.During the first month of this year, an old friend, Mr. Xiao, came to visit me. Before leaving, he asked a question: "Buddha Shakyamuni became a monk at the age of nineteen. He finally looked up at a star and became enlightened. What did he enlighten to?"

If this question was asked by others, it would not be important; but Mr. Xiao has studied Buddhism for many years, and it is unusual for him to ask this question. According to the records of classics and biographies, Shakyamuni Buddha had a unique endowment when he was born.Because of the practice of many kalpas in the past, there are all kinds of auspicious appearances in this life.He abandoned his throne and became a monk for another twelve years.Everyone should pay attention to these "twelve years", because it is easy to ignore it. Now let's focus on the twelve years of Shakyamuni Buddha's practice. The Indian religions at that time had different schools and schools of practice methods, and these practice methods had already existed before Shakyamuni Buddha. At that time, Buddha Shakyamuni learned various ascetic practices and used various methods of cultivation. He is not like us people who study Buddhism nowadays, who are half-hearted, go to a teacher in the east, and worship a teacher in the west, and make a few words here and a few words there. But Shakyamuni Buddha is sincere and sincere to learn every time, and he has done all the work that should be done. Then he thinks that those are not the way, not the ultimate, so he goes to the cold snow mountain to practice asceticism. Years later, he thought that asceticism was not the way, so he had to leave again.Later, he meditated under the Bodhi tree by the Ganges River and vowed that he must achieve supreme enlightenment, otherwise he would die there. Finally, he saw a star and became enlightened.

In fact, everyone already knows this paragraph. The reason why I repeat it is to draw everyone’s attention, that is, to let everyone know what Buddha Shakyamuni did and how he cultivated in the past twelve years. hold on. When we read his biography, we only saw that he had learned nothing but decided for three years, and finally "knowing what is wrong, he gave up." We often overlooked his serious practice during these twelve years. Let's talk about it first, what is "no idea"?This is an ancient method in India, which exists in China and all over the world. It is also the "no delusions" that practitioners want to learn -- no delusions.

For example, when we all meditate, can we sit cross-legged without thinking?Absolutely not.I often tell a joke that there are only two kinds of people who can do it, one is people who have not yet been born, and the other is people who have died.Except for these two kinds of people, almost no one can do it.Just now a classmate from Belgium also discussed with me this issue of wanting and not wanting; we also talked about Shakyamuni Buddha, after three years of learning without thinking, he found that it was not the way and threw it away. It was discarded after completion of cultivation.Because that is not the way.Due to the simplicity of Buddhist scriptures, it is easy for us to read them and ignore them.

The term "neither thought nor non-conceived" in Buddhism is very beautiful. "Non-thinking" is not our ordinary habitual state of thought; but "non-non-thinking" is not a thought, so let's say it is a kind of inspiration! It is a kind of inspiration that transcends thought. Now there is a kind of "transcendent meditation". In fact, it is not this "non-non-thought". The "concentration" of "neither thought nor non-conceived concentration" is completely different from the "concentration" of "no thought concentration".The non-perception is to eliminate thoughts completely, and this non-perception is "absolutely no thought", but it is not like the non-perception that does not know anything. It is not a kind of kung fu without consciousness or inspiration. This is the highest cultivation method advertised at that time.

It took Shakyamuni Buddha three years to reach this state, but he found that it was not the way, so he discarded it again.Generally speaking, there are two very important points about the cultivation process of the Buddha mentioned in the biographies of the Buddhist scriptures. Why not mention other cultivation? The reason is that these two practices and experiments have already covered many practices in the world, and they are also very important methods, so there is no need to elaborate on Shakyamuni Buddha's other practices. For example, before learning the Tao, the Buddha reached the highest level of mathematics, martial arts, and literature. After becoming a monk, he learned the two highest methods, but he thought it was not the way.In fact, if you can really do it and stay there every day without moving, even if you don’t have the Tao, others will think you have the Tao, and disciples will come to take refuge. (Audience laughs) Attention everyone, Buddha Shakyamuni thought this was not the way. At that time, he could no longer find a master, so he had to go to the snow-capped mountains to practice asceticism. He only ate one dried fruit a day, so of course he was so hungry that he was out of shape. He cultivated in this way to find a truth, but after six years, he thought that asceticism was not the way, and then he went down the mountain.

When Shakyamuni Buddha came to the Ganges, the shepherdesses offered him fine chylus; thus getting rid of the five young men who followed him, sent by his father.Because these five people believed that the Buddha had given up his aspirations of practice, they left the Buddha. These five people later became the first big disciples of the Buddha in Sarnath. At this time, most people also thought that he had "retired"—refunded the ticket.Because everyone believes that monks should practice asceticism, so those who follow him will naturally retreat. But there is one thing we must pay attention to!Because he got nourishment and regained his physical strength, he saw a star and became enlightened. Therefore, I often remind monks to pay special attention to physical health and nutrition, because without a healthy body, it is impossible to practice and prove the Tao. This is a fact.Regarding the health and nutrition of the body, as well as the relationship with Taoism, we have to put forward and study it step by step.

The Buddha accepted the nourishment and recovered his physical strength before crossing the Ganges River to the Bodhi tree.At that time, he had no way to find a master who could guide him, so he could only rely on himself, meditate under the bodhi tree and make vows. These simple words are easily overlooked. When I read it, I seem to understand the meaning, but I don't understand it deeply. The Buddha's vow at that time pushed away religion and solemn words, which was equivalent to saying that he had sworn an oath and cast a curse—if I don't become enlightened this time, I'll just die here.I can't stand this seat, it's just this sentence, he is so focused on seeking the Tao.

According to the records of Shakya Tathagata Yinghua Shiji, within six days, the Buddha first attained the four dhyana and eight samadhis, and then attained the birth of the mind, and then successively attained the six supernatural powers overnight. In the early morning of the seventh day, look up, pay attention!Shakyamuni Buddha was not as rigid as we are when he meditated, and he didn't dare to lift his head. He probably wanted to take a rest. When he looked up, he saw the stars in the sky, and realized Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi.Diverting a sentence here, I thought of Tao Yuanming's poem "Picking chrysanthemums under the eastern fence, and seeing Nanshan leisurely". It is generally believed that this is also enlightenment! (Audience laughs) Just now, I was talking about explaining the process of Sakyamuni Buddha’s enlightenment, which is to explain the question asked by my old friend Mr. Xiao——Shakyamuni Buddha saw a star and became enlightened. What?

You said that once you raise your head to enlighten the Tao, after enlightenment, all the previous practices are wasted, and the twelve years of effort are all in vain?In other words, he was only about 30 years old when he realized Taoism, and he was only 32 years old when he preached the Dharma, and his disciples were all older than him.Is the education he received since he was a child, as well as the various cultivation and ascetic practices after he became a monk, all for nothing? At that time, I replied to my old friend Mr. Xiao, "What he realized was the emptiness of dependent origination." Mr. Xiao said, "Yes, that's right!" He opened the door and left.

I don’t know if you have noticed that this is a very serious problem. After he left, a thought came to him. Mr. Xiao has studied Buddhism for many years. It doesn’t matter if others ask this question. In other words, he asked this question very deeply. According to the principle, Shakyamuni Buddha realized that "nature and emptiness depend on origin, and nature and emptiness depend on origin". This principle is very simple, but why was it so difficult at that time? What is difficult? The Buddha became a monk at the age of nineteen, and after so many years of practice, he understood this truth, and now we all understand it, even those who have read the Buddhist scriptures understand it, right? What's so strange about this? If you realize this point of "dependent origin and emptiness", then it will be consistent and everything will be accessible. Then what is the reason for this?Assuming that his understanding of this truth is correct, what about the previous efforts? How to explain? The second question is that we are now studying Buddhism. After seeing the Dharma, we know that "self-nature is inherently empty, and emptiness depends on origin." Although we understand this truth, why do we still have to practice it for so long? And we ourselves, don't say we can't be a Bodhisattva, we can't even be a rudimentary Hinayana arhat. I'm especially amazed that in this era, people who have not even attained half the attainment status have seen it. So when Mr. Xiao left, a single thought made me feel uneasy. I lamented that the culture of today's world, domestic and foreign religious, occult, and all kinds of tricks are very developed, but society is also more chaotic, and cultural His thoughts became more blurred, and he became more and more wrong. From the end of last year to this spring, the letters written by the students abroad, the materials they read, whether they practice Taoism or engage in other things, are in chaos everywhere.well! It's true that everything is chaotic, and no one is chaotic. This is the so-called chaotic world. So I was very uneasy, and with Mr. Xiao's question, what is the problem?Notice! When we all learn Buddhism, we reverse cause and effect a bit.how to say? "Reverse cause and effect", that is to say, all of us are reversing cause and effect.Yes, we all know that the self-nature is inherently empty, that it is all due to conditions and so on.However, these theories and principles are not ours, but Buddha Shakyamuni’s answer to his disciples after he practiced asceticism for so many years; after people wrote down this answer, we can only understand it after reading it.In fact, it’s not that we understand it, it’s just the upper edge of the Buddhist scriptures, we get the fruit of the Buddha and accept it. So what should we do?The answer is: we should also take the path of practice.Just like Shakyamuni Buddha, follow the path of meditation, seek proof from the real path of practice, and realize the "empty nature of dependent origination" by yourself. Because after we understand so many principles, we often mistake our own achievements, especially those who have been talking about meditation for many years, all Taoists and Tantrics also know it, and they are full of jargon, but looking at him, it doesn’t look like that at all. .As for whether there is kung fu or whether there is proof, it is also known at a glance. As Zen Master Dahuigao of the Song Dynasty said, whether you are enlightened or not, I will know when you stand there, and there is no need to wait for you to say.But now these people are full of truths, especially the eight meridians, which are connected here and there, and it is very lively.I said, "Don't mess up your body." All of this is because we first learned the knowledge from the Buddhist scriptures, and used the results of our predecessors' practice to turn the effect into the cause, and turn the cause into the effect. Shakyamuni Buddha's Tripitaka teaching, whether it is theory or experience, he only doubts the issue of life and death, the issue of life. What he pursues is how to "get it" in life.So it is very important for Mr. Xiao to raise this question, which is also the motivation for this lecture. The second motivation is mentioned in the notice. Several students who came back from foreign countries, Zhu Wenguang, Li Wen, Tao Lei, etc., also asked me to talk about these issues.I said that I have a condition, the Chinese and English records come out at the same time, so I will speak.Don’t be like before, after every lecture and record, you haven’t handed in the papers for several years, and finally disappeared without a trace. This is the second cause and condition. The third is to thank the abbot here for lending us this place to give lectures. Now back to the point just now.We know that it is easy to make a mistake when it comes to practicing Kung Fu, which is to use the experience and accumulated views of previous practitioners to reverse cause and effect, and then become Buddhism. In the end, I am me, Buddhism is Buddhism, the two are opposite, and they are useless for practice. That's why I often say that Buddhism - the method of practice, is completely different from the meaning of Buddhism. What we are going to take now is the route of preparing to learn Buddhism, which is the reason for this lecture. We are going to talk today, and the classics we want to quote are as follows: "Great Prajna Sutra", "Great Nirvana Sutra", "Avatamsaka Sutra", "Diamond Sutra", "Heart Sutra", "Vimalakirti Sutra", "Langa Sutra", "Deep Secret Sutra", "Mrs. Shengman Sutra", "Great Treasure Sutra" "Lotus Sutra", "Shurangama Sutra" and "Enlightenment Sutra" "Four-Part Law" (Hinayana), "Bodhisattva Precepts" (Mahayana) "The Theory of Solemnity of Present Viewing", "Da Maha Zhiguan", "Zongjinglu", "Zhengxuzhiyuelu", "Theory of Great Wisdom", "Theory of Tantric Path Stage", "Theory of Yogi's Ground", "Theory of Bodhi Path Stage" postulates If a person wants to learn Buddhism and the Dharma, it is absolutely enough to spend three to five years studying the above-listed sutras and laws in depth. As for the adoption of the content, it is also inseparable from these scriptures. It is better for everyone to understand themselves. Some friends think that as long as you practice kung fu, you don't have to read scriptures, which is absolutely wrong. You must know that when doing kung fu, if the reason is not clear and the view is not right, the kung fu will not go on the road. In other words, if you do not do well in kung fu, it is because you do not understand the principles. For example, a classmate discussed a matter with me. He said, I seem to have something in my mind these two days. He said, what is it?He felt it was a problem. He works very hard, and everyone has these phenomena. This is indeed a problem. He said: I looked at this thing, looking for this thing, can I find it if I look for it?I said, "Of course I can't find it. It's because your physiology affects your psychology. The weather is not right these days, and you have a cold."This is what the Buddha called affliction. The more this student looked for it, the more he couldn’t find it, and the more he searched, the more troubled he became. I told him, when you went to look for it, it had already run away. It is like a thief. When you call a thief, he has already left.Sometimes annoyance is in the heart, and we ignore it because we can't find the reason. So this classmate changed his thoughts and ideas instead.I'm right. But this is just the cultivation method of ordinary people. A wise person does not do this kind of thing, because he knows that there is something in his heart, and he can’t find it if he looks for it. Didn’t the Diamond Sutra tell you, “There is nowhere, and there is nowhere to go”? ?Comes and goes without a trace, you know it, it's gone, it's best to ignore it.But you said, now when we have afflictions, if we harden our hearts, they will become real afflictions again. This kind of ignoring thought is a real annoyance, that is, adding another thing. What we are discussing now is to pay attention to the relationship between psychology and physiology. For example, at the end of last year, a female lay practitioner suddenly had her mouth crooked and had a stroke. She felt confident and asked me if I was short of breath.Another layman, who had observed the precepts for many years, suddenly lost his eyesight, which was caused by cataracts. After acupuncture and moxibustion healed, he also asked if he couldn't get out of his qi.These are recent events, which prove that when we study Buddhism, there is a double relationship between kung fu and body and mind. These issues must be discussed in detail. If they are not discussed, the problems will become more and more serious. When you practice, which ones are affected by physiology and which ones are affected by psychology? How to get rid of both physical and mental problems? It has to be figured out. Let’s give another example. A friend passed away last year. He also studied Buddhism for many years, but it is still difficult to get rid of the body.If you want to do it but can't, what's the point? If you really do it, if you can separate your body and mind, then that's almost the end.But this is not enlightenment, it can only be called liberation. The so-called sitting down stands dead, cross one's legs, or sit and go.Not only monks can do it, but also lay people can do it, and even educated scholars can do it too. Practicing kung fu, the body and mind can definitely be separated. However, being able to separate body and mind is nothing more than being able to be liberated. As for whether one has enlightened, the answer is not certain.Although it is not easy to achieve the state of being able to stand and die with kung fu, it is much easier than enlightenment. In the past, this method was regarded as a secret and refused to be disclosed, but in fact it was mentioned in Buddhist scriptures. There are 84,000 teachings in Buddhism, and if you explain it too clearly, there will be sequelae.Because people will try it when they know it, but they will fail. And some people know this method, they can use it to commit suicide, and they can use it to escape. For this reason, it is prohibited by the Mahayana Tantric precepts. But as far as scientific research is concerned, we can know how the body and spirit are separated. If we only rely on our own practice and honing, it is still a question whether we will be able to touch it in a few decades. Now we are going to focus on three things, namely view, practice and fulfillment of vows. What is insight? In the terminology of Chinese Zen Buddhism, seeing the ground is seeing the way. After seeing the Tao, how to cultivate the certificate? For example, everyone knows that "dependence arises, nature is empty, and nature is void, nature depends on origin", how to prove it after knowing it?Decades ago when I was young, I started to study Buddhism. At that time, there was an old professor of psychology who said: I admire the theory of Buddhism very much, but I think there is no way to prove the theory of Buddhism.Because Buddhism says that all idealism, if we want to create a golden goose mentally, and it will lay golden eggs, it is reasonable to say that all idealism should be possible, but in fact it is impossible.Seeing the ground is the principle; performing the vows and realizing the same thing is a matter. According to the idiom of Buddhism: it is "the appearance of things". When we study Buddhism, we first mention samadhi. Can you decide? Don’t worry about it, first ask if you can cross your legs?Cross-legged is not samadhi, but the most basic way to practice samadhi. You can't even cross your legs, so what are you talking about? It makes sense, it’s impossible to do things that can’t be done.Things can be done, but actions and wishes can’t be done. Now let's explain these three things first, and discuss them really, really honestly. When it comes to the practice of certification, these sutras, laws, and treatises are included in the practice of certification. It is very important to practice meditation without leaving meditation. Regarding "fixation", it was originally translated as "Zhanna", which is a transliteration of Sanskrit.Later, it borrowed the concept in Chinese culture - "knowledge and stop and then have samadhi" in "university", so it is called "chan samadhi".A classic in later translations.Thinking that "Zhanna" cannot fully express the meaning it contains, Master Xuanzang translated it into "quiet consideration".Regardless of whether it is meditation or concentration, it all comes from the "university".In fact, it is difficult to define this term. Maitreya Bodhisattva's school simply does not talk about it, and calls it "Yoga".Later, yoga refers to people who practice this set of kung fu, and "yoga" is the general name of this set of kung fu. In India, yoga and yoga are two definitions of the same thing. For example, the theory of yogis, yogis refer to those who have achieved success in practice, the ground is sub-ground, and the theory is discussion, so the title of the book means a discussion on the realm of practice step by step. All sutras, precepts, and treatises of Buddhism tell us the methods of cultivation. But now we are him, I am me, we can't get along at all, reason and matter can't match.Especially when the body and mind cannot be united, the brain knows this truth, and things cannot be done when things are coordinated. Generally, we talk about the trilogy of attaining realizations: seeing, cultivating, and doing. To see the Tao, one must have the great wisdom of Prajna.Seeing the Tao is great wisdom and great blessing. The real great merit is also great wisdom, and a person with great wisdom is great merit.Wisdom is not developed because merit is not enough. How does great wisdom and fortune come from?It came from "OK".Therefore, seeing, cultivating, and doing are a trinity, and one cannot be separated. Now there is a big problem. When it comes to cultivation, concentration is mentioned.Ordinary people, no matter at home or abroad, are very proficient in religious practice. Cultivation is meditation. What is the biggest mistake that everyone makes when revising their minds? It is thought that the so-called "concentration" means not knowing anything, which is contrary to the meaning of "the mind should be born without dwelling".This one. The second serious thing is that most people are now mysterious.Inspiration!Supernatural powers!Sixth sense!Beyond Meditation! All kinds of cryptic names are added, which is a very serious mistake.Everyone should know that supernatural powers and nerves are twins. This is really a serious problem, because the slightest difference can make a huge difference. Then again, what is samadhi?Be sure to recognize it clearly. The four meditations and eight samadhis are the central basis of Buddhist practice methods, but the Dharma does not depend on samadhi, and samadhi is a common law. However, the Dharma does not depart from samadhi. According to the biography of eminent monks of all ages, there are many monks and nuns who have achieved "samadhi" through kung fu practice.Even the emperors of the Southern and Northern Dynasties were related to Buddhism, such as Liu Yu, who was nicknamed Jinu; Emperor Wu of Liang, Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty, etc., had a deep relationship with Buddhism. The Buddha told us the path of cultivation, but we did not go through it ourselves. Instead, we took what we heard as our own proof. What are the eight meridians, three meridians and seven chakras; if one pass is opened, the other pass is opened; those who engage in qi channels and those who engage in meditation are not true meditation. What's the point?Because the Qi meridians are all controlled by the physical sensation state, if you can’t go beyond the physical sensation state and think that this is the Tao, then you are wrong. In other words, this Tao is materialistic on a philosophical basis, not idealistic.Because there is a body, only when the body is healthy can changes in the Qi channels occur. If there is no body, will there still be changes in the Qi channels? It can be seen from this that the change of Qi channels comes from the body, which is physiological and material. In this way, doesn’t Tao become materialistic in philosophy? This problem is very serious. If you say that it is not materialistic, but idealistic, okay, then can you take a look at something other than the body? Not to mention showing something to others, if you can enter meditation for three days and show it to others, that is quite remarkable. As soon as you enter samadhi, do the four elements separate from you? That's why I just talked about the three parts of view, attainment, and wish-fulfilment, including everything. The Trinity is equally important. If you really want to practice, the Langa Sutra, the yogi's ground theory, and the solemn theory of present visualization are all very important. If the "mind-generated body" is not achieved, the practice will not be successful, and the kung fu practiced is only the beginning of the four preliminaries. The four preliminaries are "warmth, resistance, tolerance, the number one practice in the world".We all know the four preliminaries when we talk about Buddhism, and the preliminaries are like processed products and processing methods in a factory. The Arhats of Four Fruits, Bodhisattvas of Ten Bodhisattvas, and the Kung Fu of Ten Bodhisattvas, each of which is inseparable from the four preliminaries. In other words, the first jhana has the four preliminaries of the first jhana, and the second jhana has the four preliminaries of the second jhana. . . . . .It was mentioned by Maitreya Bodhisattva in the Theory of Adornment of Present Contemplation, and it was also mentioned in the Theory of the Ground by Yogis. They all attach great importance to the four preliminaries. In other words, if we only have a good study of Buddhism but can't prove it through practice, then we have not done enough practice. The four preliminaries are the first methods of warming, resistance, tolerance, and world in teaching. Of course, there are explanations for them, and they are also very reasonable.Let's strictly push aside the teachings and say that the four preliminaries take one step at a time. For example, when we study Buddhism and Taoism, we often talk about physiological changes and Qimai problems. According to Taoist standards, I have never seen a person who has opened up the eight meridians. If you really get through, it is not considered enlightened at all.As for the initial "warming" method of the four additions, it has not yet achieved the unblocking of Qi and channels. What is the state after the qi channel is truly opened? With legs crossed, not only did he not want to get down, but his whole body softened, becoming one with the void, very light and comfortable.Only when the Qi meridians are truly connected can the inner light of the body arise.Although there is no light, the interior is still bright.Ordinary people close their eyes, and the front is pitch black. This is called ignorance. But don't think that this piece of light is the Great Light Realm, it's still far from it!This is still light.I just want to tell you that at this time, the kundalini (or spiritual power, spiritual power) can be generated only after the light arises. The instinct of our own nature is the same as that of our body, like "salt in water, green in color". Put some salt in this cup of clear water, and after stirring, the water is salty. Can you find the salt?Paint was added to the water, but it couldn't be taken out.In the same way, our life, self-nature and psionic energy cannot be separated from this body; those who can get rid of it may not necessarily realize the Tao.This is just the practice of proof. When the spiritual power is activated, the warming method of the four preliminaries is reached. People who practice Kung Fu to the warming method, no matter how old they are, will be as soft as a baby. But this is not the Tao, nothing unusual! This is what life instinct originally has.The question is how can you practice this warming method.Doctrinal explanations for these questions are different, and we explain them based on facts. When it comes to the "topping" method, it is not the flowering on the top of the head, but the oneness with the void, as Zhuangzi said, "communicating with the spirit of heaven and earth", which is the way to reach the topping method.Do the warming method first, and then the top method. When the Dharma is practiced, it is the first meditation. The first jhana has the additions of the first jhana, and the second jhana has the additions of the second jhana. . . . . . , and then you can reach Ninjutsu. What is the "forbearance" method? That is, everything is cut off. At this time, delusions are cut off, separated from the world, and detached and independent. "Forbearance without birth", "forbearance" is an adjective, truncated, but this has not yet proved to be empty, it's just that everything has been truncated. The notions and troubles of the world are all cut off, and reaching this state is only the highest achievement of worldly practice, and has not yet jumped out of the world, so the next step is to reach the "world's first law". When a person reaches the stage of "the world's first method", he can be regarded as a person, and he has reached the peak of being a person, which is also equal to the "true person" mentioned by Zhuangzi. In other words, in the eyes of Zhuangzi, those who have not attained the Tao are fake people. Although kung fu has reached this level, it is still the best method in the world, and it has not surpassed the world. So how to go beyond the worldly way?Any step of the route of practicing kung fu is inseparable from the four preliminaries, and every step is inseparable, including learning the pure land, learning samatha and vipassana, and learning secrets. It is all based on the success of the four preliminaries and the success of meditation before we can talk about the practice of transcendental dharma. This is also the procedure and order of the cultivation of certification. These words just now are clarified by proposing three steps, namely, seeing, cultivating, and practicing. The first is the view. After having the view, it is how to cultivate the Tao and how to fulfill the vows. Now turn around and only talk about certain issues and practical principles. This is still preliminary, and we will discuss it in great detail step by step in the future. In the process of practicing the certification, everyone must pay attention to the principles of the four preliminaries.
