Chapter 37 Chapter 4 Nirvana transcends the concept

According to Buddhists, before the life in which he attained enlightenment, Siddhartha had countless lives as birds, monkeys, elephants, kings, queens, and many of them as bodhisattvas, the only one of them. The goal is to conquer ignorance so as to benefit all beings. And finally, in this life when he was born as Siddhartha, the prince of India, he finally defeated the evil demon king Mara under the bodhi tree, and reached the other side, the other side of reincarnation. This state is called Nirvana. After attaining Nirvana, he turned the wheel of Dharma for the first time in Sarnath near Varanasi, and continued to teach in North India throughout his life. His disciples included monks and nuns, kings and warriors, prostitutes and businessmen. Many people throughout India and elsewhere respect him as the Supreme Being.Yet he did not become immortal. After a long teaching, he passed away in the city of Kushina. At this time, he has surpassed Nirvana and reached the state called Ultimate (Sheng Nirvana Parinivana).
