Purpose Driven Life 里克·沃伦 4009Words 2018-03-20
Day 40 A Purpose-Driven Life The heart has many plans; but only the purpose of the Lord can be fulfilled (Proverbs 19:21, NIV) David served God's will in his generation. (Acts 13:36, NASB) Living for purpose is the only way to truly live, otherwise it is just survival. Many people struggle with three basic questions in life. The first is self-identity: "Who am I?" The second is importance: "Do I matter?"The third is influence: "Where is my place in life?" The answers to these can be found in the five purposes God has given you. On the day when the Lord Jesus was crucified, he washed the feet of his disciples upstairs and said to them: "If you know this, you will be blessed if you do it." Once you know what God wants you to do, when you really When you do it, the blessing comes. The 40-day purpose-oriented journey is coming to an end. Now that you understand God's purpose for your life, you will be blessed if you do it.

It might mean you stop doing something else. There are many good things in life that you can do, but God's purpose is five things that you must do.Unfortunately, it's so easy to get distracted and forget what's most important. To prevent this from happening, you must write down a life purpose statement and periodically go back and reflect on it. What is a Life Purpose Statement? A statement of purpose is a summary of God's purpose for your life In your own words, pledge your commitment to the five purpose God has given you.A statement of purpose is not a list of goals.Goals are short-lived, but goals are eternal. The Bible says, "His plans stand forever, and his purpose endures from generation to generation."

A statement of purpose guides the direction of your life Writing your life purpose down on paper forces you to think specifically about your life path. The Bible says, "Know where you're going and you'll keep your feet on the ground." A life purpose statement not only tells what you're going to do with your time, life, and money, but also what you're not going to do.Proverbs says, "A wise man sets his sights on wise actions, but a fool begins by chasing many directions." A statement of purpose defines success for you The manifesto says what you believe is important, not what the world says is important. This manifesto defines your values.Paul said, "I want you to understand what is really important."

Statement of Purpose Clarifies Your Role You will have different roles at different stages of your life, but your purpose in life should never change, it is more important than any of your roles. Statement of purpose to express your characteristics (SHAPE) It reflects God's unique way of shaping you to serve him. Take the time to write down your life purpose statement, don't do it all at once, and don't expect it to be perfect the first time.Whenever an inspiration strikes, write it down immediately.Modifying is always easier than creating. Here are five questions you should think about as you prepare your life purpose statement:

The five most important questions in life What is the center of my life? This is a question of worship.Who are you going to live for? What is your life built around? You can structure your life around career, family, hobbies, money, pleasure, or other activities. These are good, but not the center of your life.None of these things are strong enough to hold you up when life is going through upheaval. You need a central pillar that never shakes. King Asa commanded the people of Judah: "...the center of your life is God." In fact, whatever is at the center of your life is your God.When you commit your life to Christ, He moves into the center of your being, but only through worship can you keep Christ in your heart.Paul said, "I pray that Christ . . . will be rooted and grounded in your hearts."

How do you know God is the center of your life? When God is at the center, you worship; when he is not at the center, you miss.Remembrance is a warning sign that God has been pushed aside. When you bring God back to the center, you feel instant peace. The Bible says, "You'll feel the wholeness of God . What is the character of my life? This is a matter of discipleship. What kind of person will you be?God cares more about who you are than what you do.Remember, you can't take your career to heaven, but you can take your character to eternity.Write down the character traits you wish you could develop. You might consider starting with the Fruit of the Spirit or the Beatitudes of the Sermon on the Mount.

Peter said: "Be extra diligent, and besides the gifts you have, build up faith, virtue, spiritual knowledge, self-control, patience, godliness, love, and love." When you stumble and stumble, don't get discouraged and give up , building a Christ-like character is a lifelong task.Paul said to Timothy, "Keep fast to your character and to your teaching, and in these things do not stray, but persevere." What is the contribution of my life? This is a matter of serving. What is your ministry in the body of Christ?Understand your combination of spiritual gift, disposition, talent, personality and experience (that is, your characteristic SHAPE), what is the most suitable role for you in God's family? How can you make an impactful change? In this body, is there a special group that I can serve with my own characteristics?Paul pointed out that when you complete your ministry, there will be two benefits: "What you do not only supplies the needs of believers, but also makes many people more grateful to God."

While you were made to serve, even Jesus didn't meet everyone's needs when he was on earth. You must choose who you can best serve according to your characteristics. You ask, "Who do I most want to help?" Jesus said, "...I send you to bear the lasting fruit. "The fruit we bear is different for each of us. What is my profile information? This is a question of your mission to the unbelievers.Your mission statement is part of your life purpose statement and should include your commitment to share your testimony and the good news of God with others. You should also make a list of life lessons and divine passions that God has given you to share with the world. As you grow in Christ, God may give you a specific target group to evangelize to.Remember to include this in your manifesto.

If you are a parent, one of your missions is to educate your children about Christ, to let them understand God's purpose in their lives, and to send them to do missionary work in the world.Your declaration could include what Joshua said: “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Of course, our life must be able to support and confirm the life message we want to send out.Unbelievers must first think that we are credible, and they will accept the credibility of the Bible, so the Bible says: "You should live to bring glory to the gospel of Christ." What are the groups in my life?

This is a question of fellowship. How do you demonstrate your connection to other believers and to God's family?Where are you going to carry out your commands to each other with other believers?Which church family would you like to join as a functioning member? The more mature you are, the more you love the body of Christ and are willing to sacrifice for it.The Bible says, "...Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her." You should include your love for God's church in your declaration. As you think about answering these five questions, take note of any scriptures that speak of these five purposes. There are many verses in this book.It may take you weeks, or even months, to craft your life purpose statement.Prayer, coupled with reflection, discussion with close friends, and meditation on God's Word. You may have to keep revising and rewriting to produce the final manifesto.Even if it is the final version, you may still revise it because of the insight God gives you or the recognition of your own characteristics. If you would like to use someone else's manifesto as a model, please write to me (see appendix 2).

In addition to writing down a detailed statement of life purpose, you can also write a shorter version, or a slogan to summarize your five life purposes, so as to facilitate memory and motivate yourself, and can become a daily reminder.Solomon advises: “There is nothing better than to keep it in your heart and refer to it at any time.” Here are some examples: ·My purpose in life is to worship Christ with my heart, to serve Him with my gifts and characteristics, to have fellowship with people in God’s family, to develop a character like Christ, to fulfill His missionary mission in the world, and to let Him gain with glory. ·My purpose in life is to be a member of the family of Christ, an example of Christ's character, a giver of the Lord's grace, a messenger of God's word, and a manifester of His glory. ·My purpose in life is to love Christ, to grow in Christ, to share Christ with others, to serve Christ through the church, and to lead my family and others along the way. ·My purpose in life is to commit myself to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. My goal is to be like Christ, my home is the church, my ministry is——, my mission is——, and my motive is to glorify God. You may be wondering what is God's will for my job, my marriage?Where should I live or go to school?Honestly, this is a secondary issue in life, and there may be multiple possibilities, but it's all God's will for you.No matter where you live, where you work, who you marry, the most important thing is to fulfill God's eternal plan for your life. Those quick fixes should support your purpose in life. The Bible says, "The human heart has plans; but the purpose of the Lord alone can be accomplished." Focus on God's purpose for your life, not yours, because only His purpose lasts forever. I once heard a suggestion that you base your purpose statement on what you want people to say at your funeral.Picture your perfect eulogy, and write your manifesto accordingly.Frankly, this is a really bad idea.At the end of your life, it won't matter what other people say to you, the only thing that matters is what God says to you.The Bible says, "Our purpose is to please God, not man." One day God will review your answers to these life questions. Are you making Christ the center of your life?Have you built his character? Are you dedicating your life to serving others? Are you telling his message and fulfilling his mission?Do you love the church and be involved in his home? These are the only things that matter. As Paul said, "Our purpose is to fulfill God's plan for us." God wants to use you About thirty years ago, I noticed a line in Acts 13:36 that changed my life forever. These words are only a few words, but like a smoking brand, my life is forever branded with these words: "David served God's will in his generation." (David Served Gods Purpose in his generation.) I finally understood why God called David the man after my own heart.David dedicated his life to fulfilling the mission God gave him on this earth. There is no greater inscription than this manifesto!Imagine having your tombstone inscribed: "You have served the will of God in your generation." I pray that when I die, others will use these words to describe my life. That's what I expect from you, and that's why I wrote this book. This sentence is the ultimate definition of a great life.In this temporary, finite way (in your generation), you accomplish something eternal and infinite (God's purpose). This is purpose-driven life.Neither the past nor the future can serve God's will in this age, only you can.Like Esther, God made you for today's opportunities. God is still looking for suitable people. The Bible says: "The eyes of the Lord run through the whole earth, and those who turn to Him with their whole heart, He will help them with great power." Are you someone God can use to fulfill His purpose? Are you willing to serve God's will in your generation? Paul lived a purpose-driven life.He said, "I went straight to the goal, with purpose in every step." The only reason he lived was to fulfill God's purpose for him.He said: "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." Paul was not afraid of life and death, no matter what, he wanted to accomplish God's purpose, he could not lose! One day history will end, but eternity will continue.William Care said: The days ahead are as bright as God's promise! When carrying out your purpose appears difficult, do not give up in discouragement.Remember your reward, it will last forever. The Bible says, "Our momentary and light affliction will work out for us a matchless and eternal weight of glory." You can start living with purpose today. Imagine what it will be like to stand before the throne of God one day, offering our lives to Him in thanksgiving and praise. We say with one voice, "Worthy are you, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for you created all things, and by your will they were created and come into being." Plan to praise him forever and live for his purpose!
