Purpose Driven Life 里克·沃伦 2431Words 2018-03-20
The eighth day was created to please God You created everything, and you enjoy creation and the existence of everything. (Revelation 4:14) The Lord loves his people. (Psalm 149:4a) God has a plan for you to please him. From the day you were born, God has hidden away and watched your birth with a smile. He wanted you to live, and your birth made him very happy. In fact, God did not need to create you, but He chose to create you because He enjoys your existence. You exist for his benefit, glory, purpose and pleasure. Your first purpose in life is to please God.When you fully understand this truth, you will never again feel insignificant because you are worthy. You are so important in God's eyes that He wants you to share eternal life with Him. Can you be worth more than that? You are a child of God, and you bring him joy that no other creature can match. The Bible says, "God loved us and predetermined that we should be his children through Jesus Christ, and this was his pleasure and his will."

One of the greatest gifts God has given you is that you can enjoy pleasure. He has given you five senses and emotions to experience life; He wants you to enjoy life, not suffer it.You can enjoy pleasure because you were made in God's image. We often forget that God has emotions too, that He feels things very deeply. The Bible tells us that God can grieve, be jealous, and be angry, but also be merciful, mournful, and sympathetic. He'll be happier, happier, more content, and he'll love, have fun, enjoy, laugh, and even laugh! To please God is to worship God The Bible says, "The Lord loves those who fear him and hope in his love." Anything you do to please God is an act of worship.Worship is like a diamond, it is multi-faceted, and it takes a long space to fully describe it. Therefore, in this part, we will focus on the most important aspects of worship.

Anthropologists point out that worship is an innate longing of all human beings, which God has placed in our nature, so that we need to connect with God.Worship is as natural as eating, drinking and breathing.Even if we don't worship God, we will find substitutes to worship, even if we end up worshiping ourselves.God created us to have this desire because God loves his worshipers!Jesus said, "The Father is looking for worshipers." Depending on your church background, you may need to expand your understanding of "worship".You may think of worship as singing, praying, and listening to sermons in church meetings; or you may think of rituals, lighting candles, and taking communion; or you may think of healing, miracles, and all kinds of exciting experiences.Worship can include these elements, but it is never just these performances. Worship is a way of life.

Worship is not just music For many, worship is synonymous with music. They will say, "Our church starts with worship and then preaches." This is a huge misunderstanding, when every part of a church's worship program is an act of worship.Prayer, Bible reading, singing, confession, silence, sermons, notes, dedications, baptisms, communion, signing commitment cards, and even greeting others are all included. In fact, there was worship before there was music.Adam began to worship in the Garden of Eden, but the music was not mentioned until after Jubal was born in Genesis 4:21.If worship is limited to music, those who do not understand music cannot worship.Worship is not just about music.

To make matters worse, "worship" is often misused to describe a certain style of music. "Let's sing a hymn first, followed by a worship song." Or say, "I like fast-tempo praise songs, but I like slow worship songs best." or played with brass instruments is called "praise", while slow, quiet, or accompanied by guitar is called "worship", both of which are misuses of the term "worship". Worship has nothing to do with the tone, volume or speed of a song.God loves all forms of music, because he created them, whether fast or slow, old or new, or loud or small. You may not like them all, but God does.Worship is an act of worship as long as it is worship in spirit and truth.

Christians often disagree about which form of music to use in worship. They tend to fervently defend the music they choose as the most biblical, or most glorifying to God.In fact, there is no such thing as "biblical"!There is no musical score in the Bible, and we can no longer even find the instruments they used to use.Honestly, the music you love is just a reflection of your character and background, not your knowledge of God.One nation's music may sound like noise to another nation's ears, but to God, He loves and appreciates all kinds of music. Later, there was no so-called "Christian music", only Christian lyrics. In fact, it is the words, not the notes, that make a song a hymn. There is no such thing as a "spiritual" melody, because if I play a piece without words, you have no way of knowing whether it is a hymn or not.

Worship is not for your own benefit As a pastor, I often get notes like this: "I enjoyed today's worship service, I got a lot out of it." This is another misunderstanding of worship. We don't worship for our own benefit, we worship Worship is for God.When we worship, our goal is to please God, not ourselves. Or maybe you've said, "I didn't get anything out of today's worship." Then your motivation for worship is wrong.Worship is not for yourself, but for God.Of course a lot of "worship" includes fellowship, edification, fellowship, and evangelism, all of which are beneficial, but we do not worship for our own happiness, our motivation should be to glorify our Creator and please him .

In the twenty-nineth chapter of Isaiah, God condemns people for their hypocrisy and absent-mindedness in worship. What they offer is tradition, which cannot touch the heart of God. Only zeal and commitment can.The Bible says, "This people draws near to me, and honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; they fear me, but are commanded by men." Worship is not just a part of your life, it is your whole life Worship is not limited to church worship. The Bible tells us: "Worship him always." "Praise him from sunrise to sunset." The Bible records that people In bed, you can praise God!David once said, "I will always give thanks to the Lord, and I will never stop praising him."

If your purpose in life is to praise, glorify, and please God, every activity of your daily life can be worship. The Bible says: "Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it for the glory of God." Martin Luther once said: "The farm girl can also glorify God by milking the cows." How can we glorify God by doing the first thing?Just see everything as being done for the Lord and keep talking to Him as you do it.The Bible says: "Whatever you do, do it heartily, as for the Lord and not for men." The secret to practicing a worship life is to treat everything you do as if you were doing it for Jesus. "Sacrifice your daily activities such as sleeping, eating, going to work, and other trivial things before God." When you dedicate what you do to God and do it consciously Together, work becomes worship. When my wife and I started our relationship, I missed her every moment.I can't stop thinking of her at breakfast, driving to school, class, waiting in line to pay, and filling up gas!I often mentioned her to myself, and often thought of her loveliness.Even though we were hundreds of miles apart and went to different universities, because I thought about her all the time, I felt so close to her, totally intoxicated by her love. That's what true worship is--falling in love with the Lord Jesus.
