The fourth day was created for eternity god. . . . . .Put eternal life in the hearts of the world. (Ecclesiastes 3:11) Human beings created by God are definitely not just for living in this world for a day and a half!Man was created for eternal life. — Lincoln Life is more than just this life. Living in this world is actually just a rehearsal, preparing for the day of the future performance. After death, in eternity, you will stay much longer than this life. The human world is just a stage, a warm-up exercise before a game, and a test period before entering eternal life. This life is a preparation for the next.

You may not live more than a hundred years in this world, but in eternity you will spend an infinite number of years.Your time on earth is, as Sir Thomas said, "An episode in eternity." You were made for eternity. The Bible says: "(God) has placed eternal life in the hearts of the world." You are born with the nature of pursuing eternal life.Because God originally created man in His own image, and wanted man to live forever.Even though we know that we are all mortal, death still seems unnatural and unfair because God has planted in our minds the search for eternal life.

There will always be a day when your heart stops beating, that is the end of your material life, the full stop of your life, but it is not your end.Your physical body is but a temporary dwelling for your soul. The Bible describes your body as a "tent" and your future body as a "house".The Bible says: "We knew that if our tent on this earth were torn down, we would have a house built by God, not made with hands, and forever in heaven." There may be many choices in life on earth, but there are only two choices in eternity: heaven or hell.Your eternal relationship with God will be determined by your relationship with Him on earth. If you learn how to love and trust the Son of God—Jesus, you will be invited to share eternal life with him; but if you reject his love, forgiveness and redemption, you will be separated from God forever and ever.

Master Lewis said: "There are two kinds of people in the world. One kind of people said to God: "May your will be done; the other kind of people, God said to him: "Well, as you want." "The sad Yes, too many people choose not to walk with the Lord in this life, so that they will say goodbye to Him forever in eternity. When you understand that this life is not just about the present, but a preparation for the future eternal life, the way you live will naturally change. You will begin to live by eternal principles, which will affect your attitude and the way you handle human affairs. Many activities, goals, and problems that were considered important in the past suddenly become trivial. For the closer you are to God, the less all things become.

When you live in the light of eternity, your values change. You will know how to use money and time better. You value relationships and character over wealth, achievement, and even joy. You'll rearrange your priorities: keeping up with the pulse of the times, fashion trends, or popular new values is irrelevant.Paul said, "What I used to think was very important to me is no longer important because of what Christ has done." If your life on this earth is your life, I would urge you to enjoy it now.Don't care about morality, goodness, and don't worry about the consequences, just indulge your selfish desires. But this is not the case, death is not the terminal, but a transit point for you to enter eternity, so you have to bear all the consequences of what you have done in this world.Everything you do in this life will echo in eternity.

The scariest thing about living in this world is to only focus on the present. To make good use of your present life, you must have eternal thoughts and values at all times. This life is not limited to the present!Today is just the tip of the iceberg, and eternity is the whole picture that you haven't seen. What would it be like to be with God in eternity?Frankly speaking, we cannot fully appreciate the wonder and greatness of heaven with our limited minds. It's as if you're trying to explain to an ant what an electronic network is, in vain!Words to describe and explain eternal bliss have not yet been created! As the Bible says: "What God has prepared for those who love Him is so beautiful that people have never seen it, never heard it, and even imagined it."

However, God has already given us a glimpse of eternity in His Word.We know that God is preparing an eternal dwelling for us right now.In heaven we will meet our loved ones who have believed in the Lord, free from pain and sorrow; we will also receive the reward of our faithfulness on earth and be assigned to do the work we love.We don't lie on the clouds and play the harp with a halo over our heads! We will be together with God and never be separated. One day the Lord Jesus will say, "Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world."

Lewis captures this timeless notion on the last page of his seven-volume children's fable masterpiece, The Naria Tales: "To us this is the end of all stories . . . but to them But it is the prologue of the real story. The years in this world... are like opposites and catalogs. Now is the beginning of the first chapter of that great story. Although no one has ever read it, the development of the story has never stopped , and each chapter is always better than the last." God has a purpose for your life, but that purpose is not limited to this life. His plans go far beyond the decades you have spent on this earth. What you have is not a "once in a lifetime opportunity", but an opportunity that spans this lifetime. The Bible says, "The purpose of the LORD stands forever, and the thoughts of his heart endure from generation to generation."

People often think about eternity only during memorial service, and often in superficial, sentimental thoughts, with an ignorant view of eternity. You may think that thinking about death all day is sick, but in fact, avoiding the fact of death is really an unhealthy idea.Only a fool would live his life completely without planning for what everyone knew was going to happen. We should actually think a little more about eternity, rather than ignore it. The nine months you spent in the womb were not the end of the journey, but the preparation for the beginning of life.Likewise, this life is a preparation for the next life.If you are united with God through Jesus, you don't need to fear death, which is the door to eternal life. When you face death, it will be the last moment of your life, but it is not your heart, but the birthday of entering eternal life.As it is recorded in the Bible: "We did not have a permanent home on this earth, but we are looking for a future eternal home in heaven."

Taking eternity as the yardstick, our existence is but a moment, but the result lasts forever. The actions of this life will be the end of the life to come.We should "know that the longer we live in the flesh, the longer we will be separated from the Lord Jesus in his heavenly home." A popular slogan a few years ago encouraged people to live each day "as if it were our last day." ” Henry Matthew said: “Every day we should prepare for our last day.”
