"Ask the innermost, the only thing, the last secret it has kept for you for so long." "The greatest and most difficult victory, the conquest of the individual soul's desire, is long work; therefore do not expect its reward until long experience has been accumulated. When one has attained this When the regular time comes, he stands on the threshold of surpassing human beings.” "The knowledge you have now is yours alone, because your soul has become one with all pure souls, with the innermost. It is a trust that the Supreme has placed on you. If you betray it and misuse you knowledge, or ignoring it, it is possible for you even now to fall from the lofty position you have reached. Great men fall back, even from the threshold, they cannot bear the weight of responsibility, they cannot Get through the threshold. So keep looking forward to this moment with a sense of vigilance and fear, and then get ready for war."

"Ask the innermost, the only thing, the last secret it has kept for you for a long time." Only in the periphery we have many; only in the surroundings does the plural exist. The more we move toward the center, the more we will move toward oneness. At the center we are all one. On the periphery we exist as a majority.Your personality is different from that of your neighbor.Your individuality is different from others. But your innermost centers are the same.Your innermost center is the innermost center of all things. When you have reached the innermost, you have reached one. This whole world is just around.Center, you may call it God, or you may call it the Supreme Soul, or whatever you want to call it, but when you reach your own innermost center, you reach the heart of all things the innermost center. And there all the secrets are hidden in that One.There, all the mysteries can be seen for you.

You cannot know them in advance. The mystery remains the mystery unless you have entered into the innermost sanctuary of the One.You can create many theories and philosophies about them, but that is useless, meaningless. You philosophize about many things, but nothing can be concluded. This happened a long time ago.Centuries have passed while humanity has been philosophizing, has been creating many, many philosophies, theories and systems that have no results. You can create them, but that kind of thing is psychological. You don't understand. you can imagine. You can create a very coherent thought system, but that is only in your thoughts, in your dreams.Philosophers are creative, but they are creative with dreams and fantasies. They create logical systems, they argue for these systems, but truth cannot be created through philosophical systems; truth cannot be created through argument.Whatever conclusion you come to is just a hypothesis.Truth can only be reached through experience.

That is the difference between philosophy and religion.Religion says the truth is unknown because you are not capable of knowing the truth now.You will not know the truth unless you are totally transformed, unless you become a different person, unless your eyes, your perceptions change, your heart changes.Truth cannot be known through deliberation; it can only be known through a transformation within you. It is possible to think deeply, but you are still the same; you just keep thinking about things in your head. You can experience many things in your head. You can trust them, but you know they are only your creations.Truth is not a creation; you cannot create it.You can only discover it, reveal it, it is hidden.Arguing won't help.Only a real inner journey will work.

Religion is anti-philosophical.It says that philosophy is useless; philosophy is just intellectual gymnastics. You can enjoy it, it is a game of words, logic, arguments, but it will not bring you anything; you will not get anywhere. You're just sitting in your easy chair with your eyes closed and thinking. You can go on thinking about it for years. You can be consistent in your thinking, but you will still not be any closer to the truth. You might even go further, because truth is not a mental construct. It's already there; it's not a psychological construct. On the contrary, because of your mental activity, because there is so much activity in your mind, it hides.Disperse those clouds, dissipate thoughts, arguments, logic, philosophy, and suddenly it will appear. It has always been there; it is already a fact. You don't have to do anything to create it.You just give in to it, surrender, without thought, alertness, awareness, and it is there. It's always been there. The truth is hidden within you, so you don't need to go anywhere. No need to go to the Himalayas. You just have to go inside.

The scripture says, "Ask the innermost, the only thing, the last secret it has kept for you for so long." But you can only inquire by not thinking. This seems contradictory, because we use thinking when we ask.Our common method of inquiry is to think. But this inquiry, this religious inquiry, is not thinking. This kind of religious inquiry can only be done when you are alert and not thinking. Remember this: I emphasize alertness without thinking, because in non-thinking if you are not alert you may fall asleep. Then there is no use without thinking. When you think you are alert, but that is useless because thinking creates clouds.Or, you can fall asleep without thinking. That's useless, too, because the sky is there but you're asleep, so you can't see it either. So two things are needed: no thinking and alertness.Consciousness without thinking, awareness without mind.If you can create this phenomenon within yourself (no mind on the one hand and awareness on the other) this is called meditation; this is what I call dhyana (Zen).

In this case, the truth will emerge. And that truth is one, the innermost one.It doesn't belong to you. That center is the center of the whole existence. You exist only on the periphery, around. The more you move inward, the less and less you become. When you reach the innermost center, you are gone.In a sense, you are gone; the old man is dead. But in another sense, you are being for the first time, because now the innermost reality has been revealed to you, eternity has been revealed to you.Now you have reached that state that never changes. "The greatest and most difficult victory, the conquest of the individual soul's desire, is long work; therefore do not expect its reward until long experience has been accumulated. When one has attained this When the regular time comes, he stands on the threshold of surpassing human beings.”

When you go within, toward Oneness, you are attaining a state of Being and Essence. You are becoming more than human; you are becoming superhuman. You have reached a higher level than man; the animal man is surpassed. Animals like humans live in deep sleep, and they are unconscious. You continue to do things while you are asleep. You are walking on the street and you are asleep. You eat, and you sleep. You listen to me while you are asleep. You are not alert, you are not aware. The mind goes on weaving many things inside, and the dream goes on and on. You may be physically here.Psychologically, you may not be here at all. Then you are asleep. In your head you may have gone elsewhere. If you go somewhere else, then you are not here with consciousness.Only your physical body is here.

Remember this: whatever you are doing, do it very alertly, do it with full awareness, so that your consciousness is there; don't let the consciousness go away.Only then will you know what consciousness is.Go moment to moment into the present.Don't leave the present, or you will be in a dream. This awareness makes you completely different from the average human being. You are alert. You have become more than human. "The knowledge you have now is yours alone, because your soul has become one with all pure souls, with the innermost." So don't be egotistical in any way, don't think because you are alert , so you have now reached a kind of superhuman state. You are just alert, you are just aware, you are just beyond human, because now you are becoming one with all the great souls. You are becoming one with existence itself.

Don't feel ego because of it, because if you feel ego the journey stops. You will fall back. The ego is the last point where sleep can enter again. The ego is the point at which the unconscious can enter you again. You can fall back into the trap again, you can start dreaming again. "That's a trust that the Supreme has given you." This awareness is a trust that the Supreme, the innermost thing, has given you. "If you betray it...." You can still betray it; you will fall back again. You are still fluid; you are not yet crystallized. The old state is gone, the new state is still being formed, it is a state of flow. You can go back, you can fall back. The shift hasn't quite happened yet.Only a part of you becomes different. There is still a part of you that is still the old you.

This is trust. "If you betray it and misuse your knowledge...." You can betray it.If you become egoistic, if you say, "This is my knowledge." If you say, "I have known. I have understood. I have known God. I have become this and that." If you claim, you are betraying. This claim shows that the ego is still going on in you; the ego is hiding behind. You have fallen into the trap again.A man who knows does not claim to have known. There is no need to declare.Any claim comes from the ego; the claim is the ego.If you claim it, you are betraying it. "Misuse your knowledge...." You can misuse it.You can use it to exploit people, you can use it to dominate people, you can use it for non-spiritual purposes, but then you will fall back.Knowledge is dangerous because knowledge is power, and if you use it for an incorrect purpose, you lose your hold on knowledge; you fall back. What has been given to you can be taken back.Nobody takes it from you, you, you lose it. Or, "Ignore it." You can ignore it.If you ignore it, it will stop growing. And remember, if something is not growing, you are going backwards. In existence, nothing is static. You cannot stay rested.Eddington once said that the word "rest" is the most fallacious word. There is no such thing as rest in the world.Things go either forward or backward. You are either increasing or decreasing something. There is no such thing as rest; you cannot rest no matter where you are.If you try to rest you will fall back.Even if you want to rest at the point where you are, you have to grow.Only through growth can you rest.Otherwise, you will fall back. "...ignore it, you can ignore it, and it's possible for you even now to fall from the lofty heights you've reached. Great people fall back, even from the threshold, they can't hold up the burden of responsibility Weight, they cannot pass through the threshold. So at this point always look forward with a sense of caution and fear, and then prepare for war." Even on the threshold of the temple of divinity, you can walk away.Just knock and the door will open, but you can also walk away without knocking. The closer you get, the more likely it is to walk away, as you become more confident in your attainment. This is even more dangerous.Don't be too confident until you've reached and become one with the flame. You can lose it at any moment.Confidence can be a dangerous thing. You will always feel more tired as you get closer to your goal. You want to rest. Now you know that the temple is near and you can reach it any moment; there is no difficulty. "I can relax, I can rest." Then you risk losing that which is very close. It may go away.Relaxing close to the target is dangerous because the moment you relax you run the risk of falling back. When you become aware again, you will find that the temple has disappeared. Don't let go of your efforts when the goal is near. Now instead bring all your energy; become fully focused on the goal. This is the moment that this passage is talking about: "Here to this moment always look ahead with caution and fear."Don't relax. There is no relaxation unless you have become one with God.Until then, relaxation is impossible.
