Whatever you do, however you act, whatever you say, remember whether it comes from your heart or from your personality.To figure out the difference.It will be a great boost to your inner search. When you say to someone, "I love you," where do those words come from?Where is it from?What is their source?Do these words come from your heart?Is your heart really full of love?Or are they just your personality, your false face?Do you just see them as politeness, ritual, etiquette, or do you see them as a means to get something? You may desire someone's body, you may want to have sex with someone else, but you say, "I love you." This is just a deception.You might as well say, "I want to have sex with you, but there is no love in it. Your body is attractive to me, magnetic, but there is no love. Love may grow, but there is no love right now. I just Interested in your body."

But if someone says he is only interested in your body, you will not fall in love with this person.you will run away!You say, "What are you talking about?" False faces have to exist.Only then can the body be obtained. So you've been developing your personality.When your heart feels hurt, sad, and even then you are smiling all the time.Think carefully about whether your smile is just a fake smile, just on the lips, just an extension of the lips, or if it comes from deep down and spreads to the lips.Is its source in the depths, or is there no source but a whitewashed smile?Watch it when you smile, and you will know when the smile is fake and when the smile is real.

When someone is sad, miserable, or has lost a friend, lover, husband, wife, you go to him.Your face looks sad and mournful.Just remember to really think deep down if the sadness is real or you're just showing it and deep down you're just bored and you're figuring out how to leave and you're thinking about other things , you have no interest in this person and his misery and pain.Think about it all the time, and then you will understand the two layers of your heart.The false one is the personality. The word "personality" is very meaningful.It comes from the Greek word Persona. Persona means "mask".In Greek plays actors used masks, false faces.Those fake faces are called Personas.And from that incident came the word "personality".That's beautiful.That means you are putting on a fake face.It is not you.You hide behind a false face because you cannot reveal your real face.

I'm not saying you need to keep showing your real face everywhere.There is no such need.In some places, masks are required.But make it clear that it's the mask; it's not you.Inside, you have to know when you are acting and when you are real.You must not be deceived by your acting!You must not identify with your acting!I know that face is needed.Otherwise, it is very difficult to survive in society, it is very difficult.These faces are good in a way.They make things easier, they act like lubricants.And in a society with so many people, you don't need to show your true self everywhere.

Someone meets you in the morning.You feel disturbed.You think, "Why did I see this guy so early in the morning? His face is ruining my whole day." But, on the outside, you smile and say, "Good morning. Nice to see you." You." Inside, you're not happy at all! But as far as politeness is concerned, there is no problem.Saying to this person, "I feel very upset. You've ruined my morning. Your face is dangerous. I'm afraid my whole day will be ruined by seeing your face." is not good.This is not good.Nor is it necessary.You don't need to bother others.There is no such need.

But you have to know what is a mask and what is real.You have to be aware of what is going on inside you.You have to understand what is your real being on the inside and what is just for social use on the surface.If you can separate clearly between you and your personality, then the personality becomes like clothes.You can drop it at any moment and become naked. If you cannot drop it, it means you are so attached to it that there is no distinction, no separation; the gap is no longer there.You need a gap so that at least in the room, in the bathroom, you can put your personality aside and become a real person.At least in meditation you can drop the individuality and become a real person.In those places, there is no need for individuality.

Meditation is asocial.It's not about anyone; it's about you.So no mask is needed; you can become genuine.But you can't be sincere because you don't know the difference.Even in meditation I still feel that you are doing many false things. Freud noticed it, he didn't notice it when he started psychoanalysis, but gradually he noticed that patients would say things that were not true to please him, so that he could feel certain about his theory; Because when Freud was happy, they were happy too.It was only after twenty years of psychoanalysis that he realized that what they said was not true.

For example, Freud said that sex is the root of all kinds of psychological confusion.Patients would come to him and tell Freud about their confusion.Then they will reveal that sex is the source of their confusion.Freud believed that his theory was confirmed by numerous cases.It was only later that he realized that many of them had lied to him just to please him and confirm his theories. Sometimes I feel the same thing.When I say, "Crazy!" and you are crazy, I know that you are crazy just to please me.But there is no such need.I am already very happy!no need.Don't do anything untrue.That won't help anyone.Be genuine, real, at least in your meditation, because there it is only about yourself.

Tillich once said that religion is a concern for the individual, an entirely personal concern for one's own self.It has nothing to do with others.Religion is individual, so you don't need to meditate thinking about other people, not even about me.become real.Drop all masks.Anything that is sincere will help you go in, and anything that is not true will help you go out. That is why Shankara calls this world an illusion.The farther you are from yourself, the more you enter illusion; the further you go inward, the more you enter reality.Your personality is the door to illusion, to a dream world that is not real.Completely abandon that kind of door, that kind of bridge.At least in meditation.

I'm not saying you have to be social and be genuine.You will be caught between a rock and a hard place.You can do it if you feel happy doing it, but I didn't say that; don't blame me.Society will get you in trouble.It doesn't want your real face, it wants your unreal face. And that's fine for society.Use an unreal face when you go out, but when you go in, throw that face away completely.Don't identify with it, don't bring it within.A day will come when you will be strong enough that you want to wear your real face even in society, but that depends on your situation.Start by looking inward, and then, at least temporarily, put your personality aside. If you are ignorant and living in darkness, if the light from your heart has not penetrated and filled you, you may have good intentions, good intentions, but whatever you do will lead to evil, because goodness cannot come from a dark heart. produced.So don't try to serve anyone unless you have found your inner light.Then your whole life becomes a service.Then there is no need to create any responsibility, and then you will not regard serving others as a responsibility.Then the service will flow out of you automatically and spontaneously. And when service becomes automatic, with no sense of responsibility in it, when service becomes love, and you can do nothing but serve; when there is no question of making others happy; when it is actually the opposite When it happens: You are so happy that your happiness floods to other people, and only then does what you do turn out to be good. If you are filled with light and joy, even when there is no good intention, good things will happen.But if there is no inner light, too much kindness may be harmful to others.People who do not have any inner light and are dedicated to serving others create much disaster.The whole society is suffering because of these harmful people who have been serving others without any understanding of their own inner light.Remember this: the first thing is your self-knowledge.Serving others is secondary.And don't think that by serving others you can understand yourself.By knowing yourself you can serve others, but not the other way around. "Until you have gained some certainty about yourself, it is impossible to help others.When you have learned the first twenty-one rules, and then entered the halls of learning with your developed strength and unfettered senses, you will discover that there is a well within you from which words will emerge. 』 "...these notes are for those who can read what I have written with my inner and outer senses. 』 Remember this.It is impossible to help others until you have gained some certainty about yourself.Resist the temptation to help others.Unless you get some certainty about yourself, that's evil.Don't try to be a guru, don't try to be a helper, because you will bother people; you will create more problems.It is good to remember that you cannot help and guide anyone unless you have the inner light.When the inner light is present, help and guidance flow from you. Resist this temptation.This is a great temptation, because the ego will feel very fulfilled.Someone comes to ask you for advice.You don't know what you're doing, you don't realize that you don't know, and then you give advice to others. There is such a temptation.If someone asks you if God exists, you're not strong enough to say, "I don't know." You'll say something.Either you say, "Yes, God exists. I'm a believer." You say, "No, God doesn't exist. I'm a doubter." But in both you give advice.In both you confirm something you didn't know. Remember this, it is very basic and important for spiritual seekers: only affirm what you really know.If you don't know, it's better to say, "I don't know." Someone once asked Einstein, "What is the difference between science and philosophy?" His answer was the wisest.He said: "If you ask a scientist a hundred questions, ninety-nine of them he will say, 'I don't know.' Only one of them he will say, 'I know. But this answer is only relative knowledge. Tomorrow it will change. .It is not absolute.』 "If you ask a philosopher a question, he'll give you a hundred answers. And he's absolutely sure that's the way it is. If anyone says any other answer, that person is damned to hell. 'He was wrong!'" That's why philosophy doesn't get anywhere.A bunch of answers that don't go anywhere.There are so many answers, but not one question can be answered.Philosophers have lost one fundamental thing: they are not strong enough to say, "I don't know." Scientists are stronger.They can say, "I don't know." Even when he says, "I know." He says, "It's been true until now. But I can't say anything about tomorrow. Things may change, People may learn many new facts, and then the truth will have to be readjusted." I will tell you that yoga is also a science; it is not a philosophy.Meditation is a science: it is not a philosophy.Remember this, don't lead anyone unless you have definite knowledge, definite experience.And even then, tell someone: "This is my experience. It may not be true for you. That's how I got to it. Your way may be different; it may not be true for you. So don’t take my advice blindly. You can experiment with it. It’s an open experiment.” Then you can be helpful to people.Otherwise, you will create interruptions.Don't be tempted.Don't give advice unless you really know.Don't boot.Be a disciple first; don't try to be a master.The nature of the master will emerge.When your disciple nature becomes whole and total, the Master will appear in you.But don't do this until that moment comes.wait for it to come.it happens.
