Dharma Overview 明旸法师 1547Words 2018-03-20
(1) Precepts for the Supreme Bodhi Buddhist disciples, of course, believe in and obey our leader Shakyamuni Buddha very much. For all the rules and regulations formulated by the Buddha, we must absolutely follow the teachings and accept them.Strict and clean, the disciples of the four groups practiced it from faith to acceptance, and finally reached the initial aspiration until they perfected the wonderful precept of non-doing.Cut off evil and cultivate goodness, turn back to the truth, and go straight to the path of supreme Bodhi. However, all the precepts stipulated by the Buddha are based on the five precepts, which are the five precepts of no killing, no stealing, no lust (or no adultery for laypeople), no lying, and no drinking of alcohol. For us believers in Buddhism and cultivating our hearts, it is really an extremely important event, one cannot be separated, it is a whole, and it is connected with each other. On the surface, it seems that these five precepts are the unique rules and precepts of Buddhism and have nothing to do with ordinary people. This kind of thinking is incorrect and not objective. Looking back, there must be a new inspiration and experience.I think these five precepts are the standard moral concept of life and the correct attitude of action language that everyone needs to have.If we violate the Five Precepts or act recklessly, we will be punished by the laws of the country and blamed by the righteous people.

I remember Master Yuanying once taught: "The five precepts of Buddhism are exactly the same as the five principles of benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and faith taught by Confucianism." First, not killing is benevolence, compassion Everyone has the heart.Seeing his life, he can't bear to see him die, and hearing his voice, he can't bear to eat his meat, so a gentleman stays away from the kitchen.2. Not stealing is righteousness. When seeing profit, think of righteousness. Don't take unrighteous wealth. Don't take what you don't give.If you get what you deserve, you get it; if you don’t get what you don’t, you don’t get it.3. Do not have sexual desires or engage in sexual misconduct at home.Don't see anything wrong with it, don't hear anything wrong with it, don't speak anything wrong with it, don't move anything wrong with it.Emperor Wenchang said: Don't be greedy for illicit wealth, and don't drink the wine of Huajie.4. Not telling lies is faith, and it is possible to speak without faith.5. It is wise not to drink alcohol. Alcohol obsesses the mind, causes atrocities after drunkenness, loses consciousness, and loses sex. From this point of view, the five precepts of Buddhism and the five constant principles of Confucianism are different in name and principle, and they lead to the same goal through different paths. This teaching by his old man is really thought-provoking.

It can be seen from this that the precepts of Vinaya Buddhism are really a kind sail in the sea of life and death, a treasure raft on the maze road, a bright lamp in a dark room, and a buoyant sac to cross the huge waves. The Buddhist scriptures say: "Protecting the precepts is like protecting the eyes, bright and clean like frost."All disciples of the Buddha should accept and uphold the precepts with a pure mind and body, and fulfill this karma body to be reborn in the Land of Ultimate Bliss, so that the Dharma will live for a long time, and the Buddha will grow brighter day by day.

Now I will take the "Precept Sutra" spoken by the Seven Buddhas and Tathagatas in the past solemn kalpa and the current wise kalpa.I respectfully record it as the following, so that I can believe, accept and practice it. I respectfully wish you all to realize the Bodhi of the Supreme Buddha together. (2) The Sutra of the Seven Buddha Precepts Now I will copy the "Seven Buddha Precepts Sutra" below, explaining that the study of precepts is the root of all Buddhist teachings. Forbearance is the first Buddha to say that inaction is the most renunciate, and it annoys others not to be called monks

This is the Sutra of Vipashi Tathagata. For example, people with discerning eyes can avoid dangers in the world, wise people can stay away from all evils This is the Sutra of Precepts that the Tathagata Abandoned the Corpse has nothing to write about. Neither slander nor envy should be practiced in abstinence, diet, contentment Changle is in the free mind, calmness, joy and diligence are all Buddhists This is the Sutra of Precepts that Viyeluo Tathagata has nothing to write and so on. For example, bees picking flowers do not destroy the color and fragrance, but take their taste and go to the bhikkhu to enter the gathering.

Do not disobey others, do not observe what you do or do not do anything, but observe yourself if your behavior is correct or not This is the Sutra of Precepts for Detaining Sun Tathagata. Don't let your mind be careless, learn the Holy Dharma diligently, so that you can enter Nirvana without any worries This is the Sutra of Precepts that Kanakamuni Tathagata has nothing to say. Don't do any evil, practice all good things, purify yourself, and your will is all Buddhism This is Kasyapa Tathagata's unwritten and other enlightened teachings. Be good at protecting your words and words, purify your will, mind, and body, and refrain from doing all kinds of evil

These three karmas can be obtained in a pure way, which is the path of great immortals and humans. This is Shakyamuni Tathagata, who has nothing to write and waited for the correct enlightenment. During the twelve years, he preached the precepts for monks who have nothing to do. Those who are happy to learn precepts should be in middle school. Ming people who can protect the precepts can gain three kinds of happiness, fame and benefits, nourish death and live in heaven When contemplating such places, there is wisdom, diligence, precepts, and cleanliness. If you have wisdom, you will get the first way.

Like the Buddhas of the past and the present world-honored ones of the future, they can overcome all worries Everyone respects and precepts. This is the teaching of all Buddhas. Respect the true Dharma, these are the seven Buddhas of all Buddhisms, for the World Honored One to eradicate all knots It is said that the seven precepts are liberated from all bondages, have entered Nirvana, and all confusions are eradicated forever Respecting the Great Immortals, Saying the Sages, Praising the Disciples, Entering Nirvana At the time of the Buddha's Nirvana, the great compassion gathered all the bhikkhus and gave the teachings like this

Don't tell me that I am a pure walker of Nirvana without protection Even though I am parinirvana, I should regard it as the world-honored one, the long-lived Buddha Dharma is flourishing Because of this radiance, you can enter Nirvana. If you don’t uphold the precepts, do what you should. When the sun is gone, the world will be dark when the protection is to stop like a cow and love the tail Sitting together in one place is like what the Buddha said, I have already spoken the precepts, all the monks, upasa I now say that the scriptures say that when you give all the merits and virtues, all sentient beings will achieve Buddhahood together.
