Philosophy in the Age of Greek Tragedy postscript This book is an unfinished and unpublished early work of Nietzsche, written later, around 1873.Pre-Socratic philosophy is one of the important sources of Nietzsche's thought, and among Nietzsche's works, there is only this one dedicated to pre-Socratic philosophy, which is enough to show the significance of this book for the study of Nietzsche's thought. This book is translated from the first volume of the German edition of "The Complete Works of Nietzsche: Collation Study Edition" (Friedrich Nietzsche, Sa Cmtliche Werke, Kritische StuB dienausgabe, Band 1, Deutscher Taschenbuch Verlage de Gruyter, 1980).

In translation, the English version translated by Marianne Cowan (Regnery Gateway Press, 1962) was referred to.The English translation has a rather long preface, which has also been translated (translator is Xiang Long), which may help to understand the original work. Zhou Guoping Editor's note: Due to copyright issues, it is a pity that the translation of the preface of the English translation cannot be included in this book. However, the editors of this book have integrated the viewpoints in the preface that are helpful for understanding the original text, and reflected them in their editing and processing. Here, I would like to express my gratitude and apology to the translator Xiang Long.
