Chapter 33 The sixth floor of "Red Mansion" (3)

But I still want to emphasize one point: To solve such a problem, it does not rely solely on logical reasoning, nor can it be a theoretical "stipulation"; for literature and art, in addition to those, it also needs to feel and comprehend. I believe that the reason for "self-legendary" is my own perception, rather than reading the authoritative arguments of experts and scholars first. My deepest feeling is the words in the two poems written by Xueqin—— Incompetent number one in the world, unworthy in ancient and modern times. Wealthy people don't know how to enjoy their careers, and poverty is intolerable and desolate.

Poor and unable to understand world affairs, stupid and afraid of reading articles. Looking for sorrow and hatred for no reason, sometimes it seems silly and crazy. It's a pity that you live up to the good times, and there is no hope for Yu Guoyu and his family! Who are these "unpleasant" words referring to? Strange - I haven't seen a single person come out and say, what did he think after reading these "reviews"?Do you "agree" with the author's "introduction" and "appraisal" of Baoyu?Or is it a little bit smarter to know that this is an anti-word - ridicule is praise?

In any case, people who have read this far should have a little doubt: Is there a big fool in the world who has worked hard for ten years and wrote bloody works just to choose such a "monster" as his entire book? The main protagonist (all people, things, situations, changes... are all unfolded and carried out by him because of him...)?This "remote" and "eccentric" character is so unspeakable, what is the purpose of choosing him? ——Even if you understand that this is an antithesis of ridicule for praise, then you should further ask: If he wrote irrelevant Zhao Qiansun Li, and even a fictional product, why didn't he praise it positively? Praise? Why did he spend all this "entanglement" to attract people? Is there something wrong with his nerves?

After this series of deduction, the wise man has realized: Xueqin deliberately used this method to write about Baoyu, because he "taught his own way"—other than that, what more accurate "interpretation" can there be? ——The above paragraph is not talking about anything else, but it is emphasizing one point: read, if you play with his brushwork, as long as you have a little understanding, you can know this writing gem——A Dream of Red Mansions in which Shi Shi entered the world, that is, "the author" After going through a dream...the true story of doing this with the help of psychic theory; the nature of the book's "self-examination", "self-containment", "self-narration" and "autobiography" is not wrong at all.The author, Xueqin, was only afraid of getting into trouble because of her shocking nature at the time, so Xiaoshi's "writing is cunning", and there is nothing mysterious and mysterious at all.

This requires a little understanding - more important than "textual research".There are many examples of such writing methods in the book. I think that one example is enough to infer three, so I don't need to list them endlessly. The poem says: Accumulate knowledge to know the difficulty of textual research, Right and wrong are upside down. Whoever is knowledgeable is still enlightened, Wisdom and spirit look around. Can we understand Cao Xueqin? Who are the "we" in the title?Today’s ordinary readers, literary lovers, including me, the book writer, and the “red fans” who are reading with clumsy books—we want to know Mr. Cao Xueqin two and a half centuries ago, is it possible? How likely is it?What channels and methods are there? There are different opinions and they are all shouting "my opinion is the most correct". The word "five" that fascinates the "five" is not enough... What should I do?

It is true that it is not easy to understand Xueqin; but there is also another side of the matter. For example, all the people who talk about Cao Xueqin are very sorry that the historical materials are too scarce and not "enough"; in fact, there is no comparison and thinking. The historical materials of many celebrities in the Qing Dynasty are not as good as Xueqin, and it is more difficult than him. examine. How actually?Of the poems written for him by Xueqin's friends, there are 17 poems that are clearly inscribed and donated, and there are at least 20 poems that can be known even though they are not clearly inscribed. There are also 10 kinds of notes and texts describing him (never involving the fake Hu Yun). This is already quite impressive, why do you think it is too little? If everything about him has been clearly recorded, then why bother to search for it?

My feeling is that the difficulty lies elsewhere. Contemporary commentators are probably not familiar with the historical events of the Qing Dynasty, especially the life, customs, culture, and thoughts of the Manchurian Eight Banners family. As a historical and literary giant, the result is that he is "generalized" and "modernized", even bull-headed and horse-mouthed, nondescript. What's more troublesome is that those who dabble in "Cao Xue" (including the author) originally had little knowledge, but overestimated themselves and underestimated the profound connotation of Xueqin, a rare talent, so they said some laymen, shallow, and wrong words, Distorted the real Xueqin.

About five or six aspects of the strong impression I got from the above "historical materials" are worth mentioning; The first is literary and elegant, the second is "extremely bitter and depressed", the third is extremely talented in poetry, the fourth is eloquent talk, the fifth is unrestrained and humorous, and the sixth is experience of ups and downs. Each of the above six items needs to be described in detail before it can go deeper.Naturally, this is not the style and length of the text.If you stick to the theme of his writing, you can also quote a few words I said elsewhere: Xueqin has the wisdom of a thinker, the insight of a historian, the precision of a scientist, and the loftiness of a poet. realm.

Among these items, the most difficult to understand and talk about are the four characters "Extremely Suffering and Depressed".Who said these four words?Said: Mr. Pan Deyu.Pan is the author of "Yang Yi Zhai Poetry Talk", and his notes are called "Jinhu Langmo", in which he wrote about Xueqin's situation and his feelings after reading "Red", which is very valuable. Pan Deyu's narration has its own origin (I have discussed it, so I won't quote it here). He knew that when Xueqin wrote the book, she was so poor that she had nothing but a few stools.Without paper, he dismantled the old imperial calendar, flipped the leaves of the book, and drafted on the back of the paper... He saw some very touching chapters, and shed a lot of tears for them.He said that there are two things that he feels the most: one is the situation of Baoyu described in the book, the pen and ink are so tragic, this is clearly the author's own description - if someone else wrote it, he would never reach this level (roughly) .The second is to judge the sentiment based on the above feelings: the author must have "extremely bitter and depressed" and have nothing to vent, so he wrote this book as a last resort.
