Chapter 21 The fourth floor "Red Mansion" Lingxiu (5)

Heroes and philosophers who "created religion" The author Xueqin pays close attention to people, characters, and talents. In summing up such a huge theme, a person with such a grand and lofty thought will never write a book in tears for a narrow "anti-Manchurian" national issue. The thoughts here are The difference in level and spiritual world is too great, how can it be narrowed and distorted? As for Wang Guowei's theory of "freedom from suffering", because his "no desire" is equal to "no life", it must be consistent with the Buddhist theory of "Nirvana", that is, with the "color" of some "red scholars". Empty concept" theory is a consistent misunderstanding. That is to say, when talking about Taoist Kongkong at the beginning of the volume, it is said that he saw the record of the stone:

From the beginning to the end, Fang transcribed it back, and came out as a legend; because of the emptiness, the color is seen, the color is born with emotion, the emotion is transmitted into the color, and the self-color is Wukong-then it was renamed the Love Monk and changed to "Love Monk Record". Let's see, the Taoist "Kongkong" who was originally from emptiness to emptiness has now abandoned "emptiness" and followed "emotion". What is the meaning of this? How can I take it for granted.Covering four sentences with sixteen characters, both ends are "empty", and there are two "love" characters in the middle, which is to say clearly: the life of the universe is mainly caused by love, and Xueqin's book takes talking about love as the "major purpose". It is the thinking of anti-emptiness.How can we misinterpret its true meaning with the Buddhist "concept of emptiness"?

Xueqin's "literati cunning" is to use ready-made old words to cleverly express her own new meaning. For example, if the four sentences and sixteen characters are "translated" into today's language, it should roughly have the following meaning: "Kong Kong" Taoists (in ancient Chinese, "Taoist" is opposite to "ordinary people", that is, people who practice Taoism, which is different from the secular people, and mostly refers to monks, not "Taoist priests") originally entered the "Buddhist Gate". He thought that the human world is "a dream at the end, and all realms return to emptiness" (the "Jiaxu Version" has this text from the mouth of a monk); And those who understand the vicissitudes of life—that is, the so-called "color" are those who have thoughts and feelings because of this, and then observe the world and life with the eyes of a sentient heart, and then realize: the so-called "emptiness", It turns out that this is the false name of these sentient worlds. It is actually a realm full of emotions, and all "color" exists because of emotions.

So he gave himself a new name: Love Monk—a practitioner of sentient, passionate, and infatuated, a great wise man of "sentimentalism". This meaning, of course, is quite different from the interpretation of the "concept of form and space" theory that only looks at the words, which is the best explanation that is difficult for the world to understand. But who is the most affectionate? In Xueqin's view, those with the most "talent" are the most affectionate. Therefore, people who "come from two gifts" are also the most affectionate.Only because he is sentient, he will not become a person born in the world, but he is eager to be useful to the world with all his heart, so he is eager to have talents and eager to mend the sky.But unfortunately: "There is fate but no luck", not only can't be used, but it is wronged and wronged, and it is destroyed.

"There is fate but no luck" is another example of Xueqin borrowing the term "Ziping Xue" to cleverly express her profound and painful philosophical thinking. These four characters are used by Xueqin to add to the first woman in the book——Xiang Ling, who is a representative or symbolic figure of the 108 women in the book. Therefore, I use these four big characters to highlight the whole meaning. It can be said that the soul of the soul is these four characters. When the Taoist monk came to Zhen Shiyin and saw that he was holding Yinglian's beloved daughter in his arms (you really should be pitiful), he said, "Why are you holding this lifeless thing that affects your parents in your arms?"Here, Zhiyan added several batches, one of which said:

How many heroes died in eight words! How many loyal ministers and filial sons, how many people with lofty ideals, how many poets and poets have died!Today, the author (Xueqin) spilled tears into the boudoir again. It can be seen that Qunchai has suffered such a number, how about men in the world? Another cloud: Look at the first woman in the book he wrote, and use this second language to order her life, and then you will know the meaning of the pretext. Who said that you are only interested in the word "love"? Another cloud: The three points of Marquis Wu, the two emperors of Wu and Mu, and the hatred between the two sages are endless to this day! What's more, is it worthless today?

Therefore, all these words and ideas are concentrated on one point: talents cannot make the best use of them and end up with hatred. Those who are not in the common sense of the imperial examination) "dust and scholars" are painful. If you can understand these things, how can you still describe a book as "color emptiness", "liberation", "confession in love", "love tragedy" and so on? When the twenty-second chapter wrote that Baoyu was blamed by Yu Dai, Xiang and others, he thought to himself, "At present, these two people have not met and compromised, so what do you want to do in the future?" Zhiyan commented:

See how Baoyu puts his heart into the world with only this one stroke! ——Speaking of a woman in a boudoir is not comprehensive enough. Why do you want to rule the world and treat others?Seeing the natural daughter's play in the boudoir, seeing the world as a tiger and wolf!Who said otherwise? This is cynical irony, and its original intention is to enter the world and use the world, so it is not obvious yet?Baoyu, the author himself. As for women, there is a couplet in the end, which reads: Who will rule the country among the golden and purple? One or two skirt hairpins can make a family.

This is a sigh of praise for Sister Feng's ability to assist in Qin's funeral. Then I would like to ask: Xueqin wrote this book for the sake of women. It is not a thought of using the world, but is it for a way of "color emptiness" and "liberation" ?
