Chapter 7 Chapter Six: The Mystery of the Ups and Downs of the Cao Family

In the last lecture, I talked about the night police incident in the tent in the forty-seventh year of Kangxi. The impact of this incident was very far-reaching. Such changes and situations in the court not only affected the court itself, the royal family itself, but also the entire government and the public, especially the bureaucratic group, officials at all levels, including the Cao family.why?Because everyone knows that the relationship between the Cao family and Kangxi and the prince is too close, and they can't separate the relationship between Kangxi and the prince.Kangxi has trusted the prince so much for so many years and has trained him, and everyone is used to it; often when Kangxi is in charge of the government, the prince sits next to him, Kangxi asks questions, the prince also asks questions, Kangxi gives instructions, and the prince agrees, I even added something; of course it was Kangxi who made the final decision, but can you disrespect and disobey the prince? If Kangxi and the crown prince were not together, then the officials would often go to see the crown prince after meeting Kangxi, at least to pay his respects. All the officials at that time thought like this: If I treat Kangxi well and give my allegiance to him, I have to be allegiance to the crown prince at the same time, right? My allegiance to the prince means my allegiance to Kangxi. These two people should be inseparable. There is no need to talk about them. I cannot take two attitudes towards them.Cao Xueqin's ancestors, until his father's generation, treated Kangxi and the prince like this.

Kangxi made several southern tours and took the prince to the south with him. After arriving in Nanjing and Jiangning, he did not live in the palace arranged by other officials, but lived in his family, Cao Yin and his family.Cao Yin is Cao Xueqin's grandfather, and he is Kangxi's Faxiao. Faxiao is a Beijing dialect, which means little friends and children who grew up together. Why do you say that? This has something to do with the history of the Cao family. Everyone must remember that Cao Yin's mother was one of Kangxi's nannies, and she was the most important one among them. This nannie's surname was Sun, Sun's.Everyone knows that Kangxi had no maternal love when he was young.First of all, there is no paternal love, because after Kangxi was born, his father, Emperor Shunzhi, didn't care about him at all. What was Emperor Shunzhi busy at that time?Busy about falling in love with Concubine Dong E, aren't you?He hoped that Concubine Dong E would give birth to him a son, and Concubine Dong E did give birth to him later, and he said in front of the officials at that time, this is my first son.If this son grows up day by day, the throne will not pass to Kangxi, understand? It will definitely be passed on to this son.But later this son died and was not raised. Even so, Shunzhi wanted to pass his throne to one of his brothers when he was sick and in poor health, but he never wanted to pass it to Kangxi. At this time, Shunzhi's mother, the Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang, played an important role. After some mediation, she finally confirmed that Kangxi would inherit the throne of Shunzhi. So Kangxi had no father's love since childhood, and also no mother's love.

Why no maternal love? This is not because his mother doesn't love him, but because there was a rule established in the Qing Dynasty, whether it is the empress or other concubines, after giving birth, the children are all placed in other places, even outside the Forbidden City Go to raise them; the opportunity for children to meet their mothers in a year is during festivals or some grand ceremonies, and they usually don’t grow up in front of their mothers at all, but in front of their nanny.Sun is Kangxi's nanny. At that time, the most terrible epidemic in the Qing Dynasty was smallpox, that is, smallpox. , especially infants and young children, died a lot.The imperial palace is no exception. Many of the princes and princesses who died in the imperial palace died of smallpox. It is said that Emperor Shunzhi himself and later Emperor Tongzhi also died of smallpox. So smallpox disease was very serious at that time, and people were afraid when they heard it.There are also reflections on this situation, do you remember?Who has acne?Positive description?Miss Qiao.Sister Qiao has acne, look how anxious Wang Xifeng and Jia Lian are!Of course Jia Lian was pretending to be in a hurry, and later he used that opportunity to do other things. Let's not say more, Sister Feng was really in a hurry.Kangxi has an advantage in terms of body, that is, he got pox very early, and he didn't die after getting pox. What kind of disease is smallpox? It belongs to the kind that you will never get it again for the rest of your life if you get it before you die, that is, you have acquired lifelong immunity. So Kangxi became the one with the most secure life among all the sons of Shunzhi. This is also the queen mother of Xiaozhuang who made the decision later, so that Kangxi could become the emperor's trump card, because he had acne.So now when you look at the portraits of Kangxi, you have to look carefully. It is said that it is useless to look carefully, and it is useless to use a magnifying glass to look at the face, because you dare not draw.It is said that Kangxi had pockmarks on his face, because the scars left after the acne disappeared, not many, light pockmarks, Kangxi's overall image is still handsome, a little light pockmarked, maybe even more like duckweed in the water, not only does not harm him His heroism also makes his appearance more distinctive.Kangxi was such a person, because he had passed the smallpox and recovered, so he was not allowed to live in the palace, and he was arranged outside the Forbidden City, which is now the North Changjie outside Xihuamen. The place is called Fuyou Temple, and he grew up in that Fuyou Temple. What he sees in front of him all day long is his nanny, some people say that is the nanny who is feeding the baby, right?no.The nanny only comes when breastfeeding. The "mother" of this nanny does not have the word "female". It is not the nanny introduced by the current labor service company and housekeeping service company. It is not the word. A female substitute for a mother. What are you in charge of?Responsible for cultivating him in an all-round way. In today's words, it is quality education. From an early age, he taught you how to stand like a pine, sit like a bell, and lie down like a bow. There are sitting statues and standing statues. How do you talk to people with kindness and appropriate words, how do you know how to be kind and how to cherish things? ?It is responsible for cultivating him in an all-round way.So this Kangxi has a very good relationship with the Sun family since he was a child - do you understand their relationship?I talked about Kangxi for a long time, and the prince for a long time, and they were all related to Cao Xueqin and his own family.

The relationship between Kangxi and Cao Yin, and the relationship between Cao Xueqin and his grandfather, is too unusual. Why do they say they were young? We all know that reading is often accompanied by a reading companion. Without a reading companion, one is too lonely, so there is the so-called "study with the prince". Woolen cloth?Often the right boy is selected from among the babysitter's sons.At that time, Cao Yin was selected to study with Kangxi, and he was an accompanying student. After Kangxi became emperor, Cao Yin became his close bodyguard, the little leader of the imperial guards.Of course it's too reliable, isn't it?He played big together, how suitable this person is to defend him!And after Kangxi got rid of Oboi, these close bodyguards also played a big role.Aobai is a powerful official who has power, Kangxi tried all kinds of methods but couldn't get rid of him.If you arrest him through formal procedures, someone has already tipped off the news, and he may still resist, or simply raise an army to rebel. Finally, what did Kangxi think of?Even some of the guards around him, including Cao Yin, could wrestle. When Obai came in to meet the emperor, Kangxi was a young emperor, as if he was joking, "arrest him".Aobai didn't resist too much, because the people who arrested him were all children, imperial guards, bodyguards, teenagers, and wrestlers. He thought it was fun to tease him, but he didn't expect to be arrested. There was no one else around Aobai, so who could save him? There is no cure, just get rid of Oboi like this.So you think, is Cao Yin's role important? Are they on good terms? The relationship is very strong.

Therefore, when Emperor Kangxi took the crown prince to the south for a southern tour, he stayed at Cao Yin's house and Jiangning weaving house several times. To be honest, this is a bit absurd, because many high officials in Jiangning are more important than Cao Yin in terms of rank and status, not to mention that the place where the emperor lives should not be the official residence of any official, but a separate palace. But Kangxi is not interested, don't tell me anywhere, I just go somewhere?I went to Cao Yin's house, I went to Jiangning Weaving, and I lived there. How do you see their relationship? After living there, according to official historical records, Mrs. Sun was still alive, Cao Yin’s mother was still alive, and Mrs. Sun, Kangxi’s nanny, was still alive. Of course, when the emperor came, Mrs. Sun would go to see him; I'm about to kneel down, because that's the emperor.Kangxi immediately helped her up, not letting her kneel, and his face was full of joy, which is called "the joy of seeing", and he was very happy, and he said a thrilling sentence. He said to the surrounding ministers, "This is my old man."Great or not?I can't help it, I shouldn't say that, no matter how much you like her, she is just a nanny, she is just a high-level servant, but he has too much affection, he said this is the old man of our family! This is the old life of our family. He told the people around him so, so it was recorded. Moreover, he was very interested at the time, and it happened that the day lily was in bloom—the day lily flower, which symbolizes filial piety to the mother in China, so he wrote a large plaque called "Xuan Rui Tang".Hemerocallis is blooming, very beautiful; "Xuan Rui Tang", which condenses the sweetest things in the relationship between the Cao family and Kangxi.

So what is the relationship between the Cao family and the prince? Also very good. However, the relationship between the prince and the Cao family is not so warm and vulgar. The prince later became a very ugly person, he plundered property everywhere, no amount of money was enough for him, and any amount of money was spent in his hands like running water. The prince is such a person. What does he often do with the Cao family?Let his grandpa go to Cao's house to get the silver, how much? After wobbling away, 20,000 yuan, 20,000 yuan at the mouth, the Cao family immediately tried to find a way to give him 20,000 yuan, wouldn't it be over if he gave 20,000 yuan?It will come again in a few days, and it will cost another 20,000.Just a few years before the crown prince was deposed, Ling Pu, the crown prince's grandpa, was known to everyone from the Cao family and the Li family—the Li family, right? It was Cao Yin’s wife’s natal family. Her natal brother’s name was Li Xu, who had been weaving in front of Suzhou at that time, and was another favorite of Kangxi’s; During this time, a total of 85,600 taels of silver was withdrawn.Eighty-five-six thousand taels, think about how big it is, so behind their economic relationship, their power relationship is also reflected.Of course, the Cao family hopes that Yinfeng and the crown prince can succeed smoothly, right?Don't say anything else, if you don't take over, wouldn't this money be for nothing? They are such a relationship.

Someone said, what does it have to do with you after talking for a long time?Didn't you talk about Qing history? You are talking about Qing history painfully!Aren't we lectures?Well, let me tell you that the close relationship between the Cao family, Kangxi, and Prince Yinfeng has been included.Where did it go?There is more than one place, and now I will only cite one place, which is the third time.Did you read carefully the third time? The third chapter is about Lin Daiyu entering the mansion. You may say, ah, Lin Daiyu entering the mansion. When I got angry, I took off my jade and threw it away. Isn't that very lively?I remember it all!But do you remember, when Lin Daiyu went to the main hall of the big mansion on the central axis of Rongguo Mansion, what plaques and couplets did she see? That's a very important deal, you can't miss it.Let’s reminisce together, come to think of it, you should have seen a gold plaque and a pair of UnionPay in the third round, please note that one is gold, and the other is lower than it, but not very low. It is silver.

What is written on the golden plaque? It is written in the emperor's imperial pen, with three big characters, called "Rongxi Hall".What did I say just now? What kind of plaque did Emperor Kangxi write on Cao Yin's home?I wrote about "Xuanrui Hall", and the prototype of "Rongxi Hall" is the "Xuanrui Hall" that has been hanging in Jiangning Weaving Mansion since then. You can see the connection between them from the meaning of the word. Both "Xuanrui" and "Rongxi" have auspicious meanings in them, indicating that the family will become more and more prosperous. Therefore, Cao Xueqin actually sublimated the golden plaque in his grandfather's house through art, and transformed it into the golden plaque that Lin Daiyu saw when he went to Rongguo Mansion. That's all right, this golden plaque is a large red gold plaque with nine dragons and green ground, covered with the emperor's stamp.

After writing the golden plaque, Cao Xueqin wrote that Lin Daiyu saw a UnionPay, and Cao Xueqin used the pen very carefully. He didn't write UnionPay right away, but he continued to write UnionPay after some characters. This UnionPay is an ebony joint card, inlaid with chiseled silver writing, which is to cut some grooves on the ebony, and then press the silver into it.We all remember this couplet, because it is clearly written in the book, and it says "the pearls on the seat illuminate the sun and the moon, and the haze glows in front of the hall". Do you have an impression of such a couplet? Now let me tell you, this Yinfeng, when he was the prince, had a pair of couplets that was highly praised by his emperor Kangxi, and he wrote them out everywhere as gifts. There is no specific record in the history books, but he also wrote that he gave it to Cao Yin; it was recorded that he gave it to other officials during his southern tour in Jiangning. He writes his own name pair when he has nothing to do. This is a good pair he made when he was very young. What is this pair?It is called "drinking in the building is due to the bright moon, and the poetry on the river is the sunset".If you compare these two pairs, the structure is the same: "Zuoshang" and "louzhong", "tangqian" and "Jiangshang" all echo each other; Moon", the second line is "Xia".Now I want you to compare the UnionPay that Lin Daiyu saw in Rongguo Mansion with the couplet that Yinreng wrote when he was the prince in real life, and you will find that these two couplets are related by blood. There is a process of sublimation from the reality of life to the reality of art.In other words, they evolved from a prototype object in life to an object in a work, a story, and there is this relationship between them.

The couplet of Yinfeng was first recorded in a book "Juyi Lu" written by Wang Shizhen, a high-ranking official in the Kangxi Dynasty. I saw at least two works by experts on Qing history, both of which quoted Wang Shizhen's "Juyi Lu". The record in Yi Lu shows that this record is credible. But recently, an enthusiastic red fan friend told me that "drinking in the building is because of the bright moon, and the poetry on the river is the sunset glow" are two Tang poems, which are in a poem entitled "Send Qizhou Li Langzhong to the Post" by Liu Yuxi of the Tang Dynasty. Yes, after investigation, this is indeed a poem written by Liu Yuxi long ago. Then, how should we treat Wang Shizhen's so-called "prince's name pair" record?Wang Shizhen's writing is relatively simple. I think the situation he said may be that when the prince was still young, his teacher said the first half of Liu Yuxi's poem as the first couplet, and asked him to make a second couplet. He had not read Liu Yuxi's This poem, however, quickly matched the second couplet, which coincides with Liu Yuxi's poem. This is of course enough to be praised by the teacher. Of course, Kangxi was very happy when he knew it, and it became a good talk for a while. At that time, the prince not only learned the pairings, but also learned calligraphy. He wrote these two sentences again and again. Because of his good calligraphy, he often wrote them out to reward his subordinates. It is not difficult to understand that these two sentences are his "name pairs".Unexpectedly, this "prince's name pair" later evolved into a pair of silver couplets corresponding to the emperor's imperial pen and gold plaque in Jia's mansion.

It was written in the book that this pair of silver couplets was inscribed as "My brother Xun attacked Dong'an County Wang Mushi handworshiped from the same hometown". In these words, there are actually hidden meanings, all of which are hinting at the prince. In real life, Cao Yin and Kangxi are of the same generation, and when he is transformed into the novel, he is Jia Daishan; while Cao Yong and Cao Fu are of the same generation as the prince, and when they are transformed into the novel, they are Jia Zheng’s generation. Therefore, the person who wrote the couplet claimed that he and Jia Zheng were of the same generation. Although their ancestors were masters and slaves, they all lived outside the customs at first, and then entered the customs together, so they modestly called them "brothers from the same hometown".Who is this "brother of the world" Xun Xi Dong'an County King?We all still remember that it was later written that the Jia Mansion held a funeral for Qin Keqing, and four princes came to participate in the memorial ceremony. They were the king of Dongping County, the king of Nan'an County, the king of Xining County, and the king of Beijing County. There was no King of Dong'an County. It can be seen that Cao Xueqin wrote "Dong'an County King" on the inscription of the couplet for ulterior motives, alluding to the "East Palace". When writing the couplet, it was still safe, but later, something bad might happen and it disappeared; Cao Xueqin gave this The name chosen by the king of Dong'an County is also quite strange, called Mu Shi. In fact, he also had intentions. Mu means "mi" in ancient Chinese. It means that Yinreng has been living in two ways and abolished both in his life, and was imprisoned twice from the Yuqing Palace where he was the prince to Xian'an Palace. Thinking about it this way, Cao Xueqin's writing with these words is indeed alluding to the abolished prince Yinreng , otherwise, how can there be so many coincidences? We scrolled down from the night police in the tent hall, and we found that the emperor and prince of the Kangxi Dynasty in the Qing Dynasty were very closely related to Cao Xueqin’s grandfather and father, and when he wrote it, he Some of the information he got from his grandparents and parents was subtly written into his own manuscript.I think this conclusion should be valid. Some people may ask, it is acceptable for you to say these things, but we all know that Kangxi died later? In the end, didn't the prince also fail to take over?I will talk about it later, the prince was abolished for the second time. It's been half a year since the crown prince was abolished for the first time, isn't he reset again? But three years later, he was abolished again, and was abolished again. What a setback do you think this is!After Kangxi abolished the prince for the second time, he vowed not to establish the prince publicly, that is to say, he would no longer openly establish a reserve. He obviously adopted a secret plan to establish a reserve. In other words, he changed from publicly appointing the crown prince to establish the reserve position of imperial power to completing the transition of power by secretly establishing the reserve. Tell him right away that you are the prince, because then he will be prone to arrogance and other bad thoughts.I trust him, but I control him.Later, most people thought that he was optimistic about Brother Fourteen, his fourteenth son.The fourteenth son is very interesting. He and the fourth elder brother, the elder brother who later became Emperor Yongzheng, were born to the same mother. The two of them are brothers, that is, they have the same father and the same mother. .The most prominent manifestation of Kangxi's trust in the fourteenth elder brother is that he let the fourteenth elder brother be the general of Fuyuan, go to the west, and give him a heavy army under his command. This fourteenth elder brother was also very upbeat. During the process of being the general of Fuyuan, he recovered Tibet and wiped out many rebellious tribes, which made the regime of the Qing Dynasty more consolidated. In his later years, Kangxi liked the fourteenth elder brother very much, and it seemed that he really wanted to transfer his throne to this son.But he was sick again, he didn't think that he might be at the end of his life this time, he thought he might still be fine, so he didn't transfer the 14th elder brother he valued from the northwest back to Beijing in time.Of course, if it is really ordered to be transferred back, it will be a very long process. Everyone knows that the means of transportation at that time were not as developed as they are now?At that time, holding the whip 24 hours a day, changing horses constantly, whipping the horse and running from station to station, it would take a long time to return to the capital. Before he had time to call back his beloved fourteenth elder brother, he suddenly became ill. This time, he became seriously ill and died, dying. In this situation, the other elder brothers don't know the exact news, they just know that the father is sick, how sick is it, is it serious, I don't know, but there is one elder brother who knows Kangxi's condition, this is his Yinzhen, the fourth son of the fourteenth elder brother, is also the brother of the fourteenth elder brother. How can he know?Usually, the fourth elder brother has a humble look. After the prince was abolished for the second time, several elder brothers wanted to seek to be established as the prince. For example, the eighth elder brother was a restless person named Yinhu.Yinhu once had bad intentions and wanted to seek the position of prince. Kangxi was vigilant. Kangxi once reprimanded the eighth elder brother, but he did not let him succeed. But some elder brothers are still ready to move, or join forces, or support one together, hoping to gain benefits through the succession of imperial power. The fourth elder brother usually looks very modest, which creates the illusion that he never cares about these things. Besides, he is also old, he is the fourth child, and Kangxi is in his later years. He raised lamas in his palace very early on, and now there is a very famous scenic spot in Beijing, what is it called? It is called Lama Temple, and it was transformed from his palace. Why was it transformed into a Lama Temple? It is because he believes in Lamaism, and he raises lamas and builds Buddhist temples in his palace, which makes everyone feel that he is a person who does not need to care about him, so they relax their vigilance against him.Unexpectedly, when Kangxi was dying, the only prince who knew the truth about Kangxi's illness was this fourth elder brother. How could he grasp Kangxi's situation? He won over the infantry commander at the time named Longkodo. This person is very important. This person is equivalent to the leader of the Imperial Guard. Do you understand? The emperor needs to be guarded by someone. The people who defend the emperor must be some military personnel. The military personnel must have their leader. This leader is Longkodo, so Longkodo has mastered the entire situation of Emperor Kangxi. When Kangxi was seriously ill, he was not in the Forbidden City, but in the Old Summer Palace in the western suburbs.Longkodo is equivalent to controlling Kangxi. It is said that Longkodo also thought about it at the time. In this case, which elder brother should I rely on?Which one is best for me to take refuge in?Fourteenth brother? The fourteenth elder brother is far away in the northwest, and besides, the relationship between Longkodo and him is not good. After thinking about the other elder brothers, the fourth elder brother who has the closest relationship with him is the fourth elder brother, so he alone made Kangxi sick No, I told the fourth elder brother that he was going to die. Therefore, according to historical records, although this historical record later Yongzheng carried out some repairs after he succeeded to the throne, even this still left traces, it is recorded that the fourth elder brother entered the Old Summer Palace several times a day, and he was able to directly Approaching the emperor's father's bed, the so-called visit to the emperor's father, isn't it more terrifying than the night guard in the tent peeping in through the crack of the tent? When Kangxi was so dying, when he opened his eyes, a big face flashed in front of him, not to mention that it was quite far away, outside the crack of the tent, outside the window, which was really scary. In the end, Kangxi died. After his death, there were two powerful ministers: one was Longkodo, and the other was Nian Gengyao. The two of them made the decision and announced that the will left by Emperor Kangxi when he was dying was the fourth elder brother. It's very good, the fourth elder brother is very like me, and the throne should be passed on to him, so that Yongzheng can ascend to the throne. It is said that when Yongzheng ascended the throne, he also showed a very reluctant look, as if he was begging hard, saying not to let me be the king, it seems that he really has no desire for power. But once you sit on the throne, once you put on the dragon robe, your face will fall down, so you are welcome, I am the emperor. The first thing he did was to confer titles and titles, to confer titles on his brothers and some of the heroes, and he didn't demote anyone.Of course, at the same time, he notified his younger brother Fourteenth Brother to hurry back to Beijing, because the father passed away and I succeeded, so you have to return to the capital as soon as possible.Such a situation occurred at that time, which dealt a great blow to the Cao family.Because at that time, among the sons of Kangxi, the Cao family had a relatively close relationship with many elder brothers; of course, the branch with the prince was the closest, and some others were also very close, such as with the eighth brother. The elder brother and the ninth elder brother are very close, and they are also very close to the fourteenth elder brother, but the relationship with the fourth elder brother is relatively distant, and there is no big relationship. Therefore, after Kangxi died, the Cao family faced a catastrophe. Of course, at that time the Cao family was nothing more than a weaving in Jiangning, which was a piece of cake in Yongzheng's eyes, because he had too many political enemies to deal with, right?Who is he going to deal with? One is to deal with the unconvinced brothers. The first one who is unconvinced is the fourteenth elder brother who has the same mother as him.It is said that after the fourteenth elder brother returned to the capital, he did not kneel down to him at all, thinking to himself, what's going on?If I come back properly, you will become the emperor. If you want me to treat you like a monarch and a minister, there is no such thing in the world, it is very rebellious. The fourteenth elder brother refused to accept it. His mother, the mother of the two of them, also liked the youngest son, but did not like Yongzheng, so after Yongzheng became the emperor, he immediately moved the palace to his mother, because she turned out to be nothing but Kangxi Now she is going to be respected as the empress dowager and moved to a special palace where the empress dowager lives. His mother is unwavering, which means that she is also dissatisfied with Yongzheng and is moving towards this younger brother. So even though Yongzheng ascended the throne at that time, the situation was still very complicated. In addition, the eighth elder brother and the ninth elder brother formed an alliance to deal with him together. These two people also tried their best to overthrow his throne. As you all know, later Yongzheng executed the eighth and ninth elder brothers to death, imprisoned them for punishment, removed their titles, and even expelled them from the royal family, that is, expelled them from the clan. They simply declared that they were not human beings, and gave each of them a strange name, one called Aqina and the other Seth Hei.There are many folk legends that the eighth elder brother is called Aqina, which means dog; the ninth elder brother is called Seth black, which means pig.In fact, according to the research of Qing history experts, this is not the case, because in Manchu, the sound of "Aqina" does not mean a dog, and the sound of "Seth Hei" does not mean a pig. After rigorous research by some experts, it is believed that Aqina is actually a name given to himself after the failure of the eighth elder brother, which means "Zu Shang Frozen Fish", and Zu is the chopping board. The meaning of slaughter is a very helpless name given to oneself by a loser. And what about Seth Black?According to expert research, it means "hate", and it means annoying in Manchu. No matter what it means, what Yongzheng had to face at that time were many political enemies. For example, his eighth brother and ninth brother were the political enemies he had to deal with first. Immediately after the thing, he vomited and died soon after. It is said that he was poisoned to death. This legend should be credible, otherwise how could the two of them die so coincidentally and in the same way.In addition, there are several other brothers that Yongzheng has to deal with, so I won't go into details. And who was he up against? He has to deal with Longkodo and Nian Gengyao.Someone said, is it bad?Didn't these two people help him ascend the throne?Yes, that's the problem with these two men, they know too much.Sometimes in front of the emperor, if you don't know anything, you are a capital offense; sometimes, if you know too much, you are also a capital offense. These two people just know too much, do you understand what I mean?So he had to get rid of these two people and seal the mouths of these two people. Later, these two people were indeed punished. After Yongzheng took office, he was very busy and couldn't take care of those smaller officials, but he still punished Li Xu in time. In Yongzheng's eyes, Li Xu was very annoying, so he cleaned up immediately - as mentioned earlier, Li Xu It was Cao Yin's in-laws, his wife's brother, and his brother-in-law, who were punished.Of course, Cao Yin had passed away at that time, and Cao Fu was in charge of weaving in Jiangning in the Cao family. After Li Xu was ruled, in the third year of Yongzheng, Yongzheng handed Cao Fu over to Prince Yi to take care of him.Who is Prince Yi?It's very interesting, this Prince Yi is the thirteenth elder brother Yinxiang. After Yongzheng became the emperor, he only kept the Yin character in his own name, and changed the Yin character in the names of other brothers to Yun character, so when I talk about Brother Thirteen, I will call him Yun Xiang.Yunxiang was the most unsuccessful of all the elder brothers in Kangxi, why did he lose his ambition?Everyone knows that when Kangxi waited for his sons to grow up, he conferred titles on them one after another. Is this normal? You can't just say that the second child is a prince, what about the rest? They were named Prince, County King, Baylor, Beizi, and so on.The strange thing is that he was knighted twice, the first time Yunxiang was still young, so it was easy to explain; the second time when Yunxiang's younger brother was all knighted, Yunxiang just didn't. Before Kangxi died, the only adult son who was not knighted was Yunxiang. This Yunxiang didn't seal him in a daze, why didn't he seal him? After some analysis later, we can draw such a guess: Do you still remember the night police in the tent I mentioned in the last lecture? The night guard of the tent, Emperor Kangxi felt that someone was peeping in from the crack outside his tent. It was someone who informed. Who told the secret? In fact, there are two people: one is the big brother, but the big brother was exposed later, as I mentioned in the last lecture, the big brother used the town to kill the prince, this matter was found out, and the big brother was circled banned; there is another informer, probably this Yunxiang, that is him.But it was difficult for Kangxi to tell others about this matter. Of course, Kangxi also hoped to get information from him, and he could not say that he had done something wrong. It was also discovered that the prince had been raped and wronged, so Kangxi didn't like Elder Brother Thirteen in his heart. One of Kangxi's expressions is that he was never granted a title, and he became a very embarrassing figure. Like the other brothers, he is the emperor's own son, but others have awarded him such and such titles. He has always been an elder brother, without any title. However, as soon as Yongzheng came to power, he immediately made Yunxiang the prince, the highest title, Prince Yi, and he trusted him very much.So in the third year of Yongzheng, Yongzheng freed up his hands to punish the Cao family and punish Cao Fu, so he first handed him over to Prince Yi.He told Cao Fu, don't look for ways around, if you have any problems, you just tell someone, you just tell Prince Yi, Prince Yi loves you, and he can help you solve everything.Of course, Yongzheng didn't say it in person, but added some comments on Cao Fu's memorial, which probably meant this. This is very detrimental to the Cao family, isn't it?Because one of the most unfavored elder brothers in the Kangxi Dynasty has now become a prince, and the fate of the Cao family is in his hands, which is not a good thing. It is said that Prince Yi is indeed not particularly vicious, so he did not add fuel to the Cao family and helped Yongzheng deal a devastating blow immediately. It wasn't until the fifth year of Yongzheng that Yongzheng completely let go. At this time, he had almost dealt with other political enemies, and began to deal with officials he didn't like.He has a basic principle, he doesn't like whatever his father liked back then; he likes whatever his father doesn't like.Under the emotional control of such a thinking, Yongzheng rectified a large number of officials who were favored in his father's dynasty, including Cao Fu.In the fifth year of Yongzheng, the Cao family was confiscated.Cao Fu's crimes are that his servants harassed the post station, so there should be such a thing. If this kind of thing happened when Kangxi was alive, it would not be a big deal at all. At that time, the Cao family was protected by Kangxi. Who would dare to sue the Cao family for such a thing? You can't even sue. Before Cao Yin died, Kangxi heard that he was suffering from malaria, and immediately asked the post station to deliver the special medicine Cinchona Cream to his hair young Cao Yin, but Cao Yin himself had no luck, and he died before the medicine was delivered. At that time, Kangxi himself had a lot of things, and he was very annoying. The year Cao Yin died was when Kangxi was completely disappointed in Yinfeng. In that year, he abolished the prince for the second time; Thinking about the Cao family.Cao Yin died, and he asked Cao Yin's son Cao Yong to succeed Cao Yin as Jiangning weaving. Cao Yong died again soon, and he personally intervened, and adopted his nephew Cao Fu for the already extinct Cao Yin, and made him Jiangning Weaving.Kangxi toured the south six times and lived in Jiangning weaving mansion four times. He knew that the Cao family’s lack of office was actually caused by taking over the driver; He pretended to be stupid because of the big deficit, and Cao Fu couldn't justify it. It can't be said that the deficit was actually caused by your father's taking over during his southern tour.
