On May 31, 2004, I was invited to give a lecture on "Qin Studies" at the Museum of Modern Literature. The Literature Museum has held a series of lectures on "Red Studies" for a long time, invited many professionals to give speeches, and also invited well-known "Red Studies" enthusiasts such as Wang Meng and Hu Deping to talk. They have been in touch with me since the beginning of the event , but I refused for two years, and it was not until that day that I finally cheered up to give a lecture.I'm too lazy to talk about it, and I don't have any secret or deep thoughts, it's just my personality.I said "Red

My favorite among the Twelve Hairpins in Loumeng is Miaoyu. It is not easy for a person to never harm others, and to live to such a willful degree in the aesthetic realm of self-esteem and self-love, no matter in any era, society or group of people. After I went there that day, I found that the 380-seat lecture hall of the Literature Museum was full. Because there were not enough seats, I moved some chairs from the dining room. When I got to the seat, I just stood and listened.Later I learned that there were also people from Tianjin who came to Beijing to listen to the lecture after seeing the preview on the Internet.Seeing so many people supporting my "Qin Xue" research, I was immediately excited, so I wanted to tell the whole story, and the more I talked, the more I spoke. They all sat or stood there and listened to me attentively. I was very moved and found it very enjoyable.

After the speech, an audience member told me that she thought that my so-called "opened up a new branch of 'Hongxue', 'Qinxue'", was self-exaggeration, even if it wasn't grandstanding. But after she listened to my speech, although there were many "disagreements", she really felt that my interpretation was academic, starting from the text, a prototype research, and thoughtful , clear logic, and indeed original ideas. Her encouragement, as well as the encouragement from others, is extremely precious to me. I am so self-respecting, confident, and eager for understanding and support because I feel that a major problem currently encountered in the research of "Redology" is that it has not been fully "shared by the public". Or professionals despise or even despise them, and being scorned as "layman" is still "polite", and some are even denounced as "red school monsters". Let me ask, if such a domineering tone of academics is allowed to cover the field of "red studies", "red studies" "How can the research improve and advance?

I am very lucky. Since I was engaged in the research of "Qin Studies", I have been given the guidance and encouragement of Mr. Zhou Ruchang. The people generally recognize Mr. Zhou as the master of "Red Studies", with outstanding achievements and new innovations, but Mr. Zhou himself insists that he is not In the "red academic circle", this phenomenon is also quite thought-provoking. I started publishing articles on "Qin Studies" in 1993, and compiled them into "The Death of Qin Keqing" in 1994, revised it once in 1996, and expanded it to "The Mystery of the Three Hairpins in the Red Chamber" in 1999. After 2000, I pushed the tentacles of my research to Yinreng, the deposed prince of the Kangxi Dynasty, and his son Hongxi (that is, the grandson of Kangxi), revealing the great influence of their ups and downs, treacherous and changeable fates on the rise and fall of Cao Xueqin's family, and the When Cao Xueqin was creating, which character archetypes, event archetypes, and detail archetypes were used as the resources of artistic fiction, and these achievements were formed in the book "Painting Liangchun and Falling Fragrant Dust" in 2003. Up to now, my "Qin Xueqin "The research seems to be that the mountain stream finally flows out of the narrow valley and rushes to the wider countryside, forming a self-contained river. Therefore, with the support of Shuhai Publishing House, the above-mentioned works were revised and about 70,000 words were added. The new manuscript constitutes the new book of this book. The book also included records of my discussions on "red" with netizens on People's Daily Online and speeches at the Museum of Modern Literature, in order to highlight my "'red studies' research is not the monopoly of a few academic authorities or academic institutions, it should be a An open cultural space shared by the public".I am determined to push the study of "Qin Studies" to the end.In the big garden of "Hongxue" shared by the public, my "Qinxue" is of course just a small flower growing in a corner, but "Moss flowers are as small as rice, and they bloom like peonies." With enthusiastic encouragement, I strive to make this flower of my own into a perfect circle.
