Chapter 43 To Taiwan Compatriots

Dear Taiwan Compatriots: Beijing Central Broadcasting Station selected three of my novels and broadcast them to Taiwan compatriots. I feel happy and ashamed! We must stand up and resist bravely.The third article is about what I witnessed in Chongqing, Sichuan in 1943. Many families lived in the occupied Beiping, while in Chongqing behind the enemy lines, their wives were scattered and their lives were uneasy. Among people, various tragic social problems have occurred that should not have occurred.This reminds me that since Taiwan and the motherland were separated, there must be many similar situations. When will we be able to dispel these heavy clouds and mists?

Because I have never been to Taiwan, and because there are my relatives and friends in Taiwan, as well as writers whom I have been friends with for a long time, I always miss this treasured island of Taiwan, which has been away from my mother for thirty years.I often think that we are only separated by a river, why can our compatriots living abroad travel thousands of miles to come back and get together, but we can't enjoy this kind of happiness?In Beijing, I met writers who returned to the motherland to visit relatives and friends from the United States or other places, and I saw many works by Taiwanese writers from many domestic literary publications. Our People’s Literature Publishing House also publishes some Taiwanese writers. work.These works are full of love and nostalgia for the motherland, as well as Taiwan's historical deeds and Taiwan's current social situation, which make me have a deeper yearning for Taiwan and Taiwanese writers!What kind of artificial resistance prevents us from responding with one voice and seeking the same breath?

Dear compatriots in Taiwan, the reunification of Taiwan and the motherland is the trend of the times and the aspiration of the people.
