Chapter 162 our protest

We strongly protest to the American and Japanese reactionaries who created the Matsukawa incident, suppressed the anti-dismissal struggle of railway workers, attacked the Japanese democratic progressive forces, and revived Japanese militarism! It has been almost twelve years since the dark Matsukawa incident occurred in August 1949.During this period, the claws of the U.S. imperialists, through the Yoshida government to the Ikeda government, tightly strangled the upright and innocent defendants in Japan. They blackmailed, threatened, and shamelessly fabricated evidence and confessions, trying to put the responsibility for the incident on the trade unions and "red elements".They want to force the workers not to oppose dismissals, low wages, uphold democratic rights, and oppose the imposition of the disaster of war on the Japanese people. The weapons and manpower used for the Korean War were used as slaves and cannon fodder for monopoly capital to grab profits, turning Japan into a tool for US imperialism to carry out aggression and war.

The twelve years of the struggle against the Matsukawa incident were twelve years in which the patriotic and anti-imperialist sentiments of the Japanese people rose day by day.Repeated interrogations about 200 times fanned the anger of the people. Two hundred and forty lawyers were mobilized, and a 13,000-page appeal was written. Only from November 5 to 26, 1958, in the courtroom of the Japanese High Court. Ten rounds of debates unprecedented in the history of trials.Outside the court, the support team is expanding day by day. The Matsukawa Incident Countermeasure Council was established. Our respected colleague, the famous Japanese writer Mr. Hirotsu Kazuro, stopped all writing and devoted himself to investigating this incident. Researched and wrote a long political commentary of "Matsukawa Judge" with a length of more than 500,000 words.Together with many writers and lawyers, he thoroughly exposed the truth of this incident, resolutely opposed the current dark traitorous government, and urgently demanded to change the reality. The old man was so busy calling for peace, that we never got the chance to visit him when we were in Japan this spring. But our respect and sympathy have always followed him.We know that his great struggle with Japanese writers and the Japanese people will definitely win the final victory, because the era when the imperialists were blatant and doing whatever they wanted in the world is over!

The heinous U.S. imperialists and the reactionary and shameless Japanese traitorous monopoly capital have completely exposed their true colors in front of the strong and united Japanese people. They dispatched the police, military police, jeeps, planes... They read the verdict once or twice, trying their best to put the innocent defendants to death. But in fact it backfired! The unwarranted verdict of this conspiracy can only arouse greater anger among the Japanese people, and can only arouse deeper sympathy from righteous people all over the world for the innocent defendant. A strong solidarity team has been formed in Japan and around the world. The 650 million people in China have stood by the side of the Japanese people in this way over the years, and have always supported the Japanese people.

In the name of Chinese writers, we join hands with Japanese writers, using one of our pens as a weapon in our struggle. When I was writing, the sky was still dark and there was no sound. As I was writing, I gradually heard the singing of the morning bird. It's about to come out, and the treetops are shining with the cold light of morning dew. This early earthquake is full of hope, full of freshness, and full of light. It suddenly occurred to me that, at this very moment, the Matsukawa incident is boiling in my heart, and those who are fighting for independence, democracy, and peace, apart from the tens of millions of people in Japan, there are also many people like me in the ends of the earth. Such a sleepless person. Our times have shown that the just aspirations of the broad masses of the people are irresistible to any reactionary force.Victory is like the sunshine this morning, it will come brilliantly, as long as we unite and persevere to the end!
