In these years, I have traveled to several capitalist countries. In these countries, the suffering of the working people is beyond description. Their children are even more sad to see. The faces of the children are so pale. The eyes are so dull, and the pain in life grows with age. A child of twelve or thirteen years old speaks and does things like an old man who has suffered from worries.This phenomenon of artificially destroying the life of the sprout makes people feel uneasy and angry from the heart. In Japan, an elementary school teacher showed me several compositions written by elementary school students in mountainous areas.From the children's compositions, it can be seen that their parents are doing unbearable labor for a living, and how the children themselves are running around doing housework and planning their own tuition and book expenses.They are also in constant danger of falling out of school.Are children of rich families better off?That's not the case!They have money to go to the movies, but what they watch are American-style movies about killing, stealing, and obscenity.They have money to buy books, but all they get is low-brow comic strips.Everything they touch leads them down the path of corruption!

Every time I come back from a capitalist country, I see the love, nurturing and care that the children of our motherland receive. In contrast, I have an indescribable love for our dear party and government. Since liberation, our working people's own party and government have cared for our children and children's work in every possible way. They really see farther and deeper than parents.With our party and government, our children are guaranteed to go to school; they receive more care than adults in terms of food and nutrition; they have good children's books and good children's movies in entertainment life to educate and infect them In addition to nurseries, kindergartens, primary schools, etc., we also set up places for extracurricular activities such as cultural palaces and libraries for them; so that our children will always live in a noble and beautiful living environment no matter where they go. Let them grow vigorously every day like flowers in broad daylight.

In the past one or two years, a large number of urban and rural children have entered nurseries and kindergartens in batches.According to statistics at the end of 1959, there were more than 3.6 million rural childcare organizations across the country. In the past two years, I have visited more than ten nurseries in Zhengzhou, Luoyang, Dengfeng, Yanshi...and the suburbs of Beijing. Their enthusiasm and care, and the children's health and liveliness, my touch and joy are indescribable!The bedrooms, canteens, classrooms, playgrounds, bathrooms and other perfect arrangements and equipment in nurseries and kindergartens can be seen everywhere. Their enthusiasm and perseverance, without the spirit of communism, it is impossible to do childcare work well! This year's Children's Day, the party called for the popularization and improvement of childcare work. This is the gospel of hundreds of millions of children in China!Childcare workers are the mothers of collective children. They are excellent and powerful assistants of the party.
