Chapter 12 To Lin Yutang①

Mr. Lin: I transferred from Mr. Pan Guangdan to the task of joining the editor of the ×× Annual Magazine in handwriting, which shows that I respect and feel no sense of responsibility. After much deliberation, I finally concluded that I was lazy by nature and had never written in English, so I took the liberty to agree, which was enough to embarrass the motherland.Today's female writers are like Lin, and there must be many people who want to be able to be happy. It is very fortunate that Mr. Wang will re-select and hire, and there will be someone who divides the labor. Contributions to "Human World" were written and urged, and they were corrected in time. "Human World" has been published for more than a year, and its vigor remains unabated. It is really the best among today's short essay magazines, and it is worthy of congratulations to Mr. Wang.

After returning from the Northwest, I was ill for several months, and my letter was answered, without any fear. I hereby reply and congratulate Bing Xin on the 30th night of December (1935.12.30) ①Lin Yutang, a writer, was born in Longxi, Fujian. Born on October 10, 1895.
