kafka short stories 卡夫卡 265Words 2018-03-20
There are four legends about Prometheus. According to the first legend, because he betrayed the gods, he was chained on the Caucasus mountains, and the gods sent vultures to peck at his growing liver at that time. According to the second legend, facing the pecking beak, Prometheus ducked deeper and deeper into the rock, until at last he became one with it. According to a third legend, after thousands of years had passed, his treachery was forgotten, by the gods, by the vultures, and by himself. According to the fourth legend, the people are weary of what has no root and cause, the gods are weary, the vultures are weary, and the wounds are weary and closed.

What remains is the unexplainable mountain of stone.Legends always try to explain the inexplicable things.Just because the legend comes out of a motive to seek the truth, it can only be explained in the end.
