It appeared in front of me so peacefully—Ayang Bai.The morning light filled the empty valley, facing the valley with the undulating sounds of birds, showing its shocking beauty in front of me at a glance. The eighth cave of Shizhong Temple Grottoes is it - Ayang Bai.It is a grotto carved with female genitalia, which is said to be a special carving of the primitive worship of the Bai ancestors. It calmly gets along with the Bodhisattvas in the surrounding grottoes, the Nanzhao king and his attendants, gods, power gods, ancient Persians, etc., attracting generations of people with its natural beauty.Only a round stone under this grotto has been knelt down by worshipers through the ages to make a deep dent in Liangjiang, such a shocking dent.

I looked at it from a distance, its dark brown texture, well-defined curves, and the innocent temperament that looked down on the world. We met tenderly at that moment, the sun was floating on it, it seemed that it was about to move softly, and it was about to flow out a spring of white and fragrant life. There is no noisy conversation, the quiet wind and the quiet sunshine shuttle between us.It has stood quietly here for many long centuries. It was bathed in the sound of wind, rain, moonlight, and sunshine, all of which did not mar its appearance. It is ancient and young at the same time; it is desolate and youthful at the same time.I noticed that many grottoes in the surrounding area were destroyed during the battle, the Bodhisattva had broken arms, his attendants lost their legs, and many heads were blurred.Only it, A Yangbai, it still appears in front of me intact.Even evil hands dare not touch it, and it seems that true beauty itself can drive out evil.

Ayang Baichu's solemn and solemn Buddhist holy place has attracted all kinds of criticism. Some people say that this is purely a prank directed by later generations out of blasphemy against Buddhism. They thought that Ayangbai was unclean and unchaste, so how could he carve his genitals naked on the stone? I don't intend to speculate on the purpose of this sculpture, which was probably born in the Tang and Song Dynasties. Maybe the sculptors are tired of carving Bodhisattvas and gods full of mythology, tired of carving scenes of kings and singing and dancing, and carvings that they can't touch. Things, that's why they carved a pair of prominent female genitalia, because only it can give people the most tender, intimate and knowable feeling.Perhaps the sculptor just found a large dark brown stone, and he had rich associations, so the outline of female genitalia appeared on it.

Of course, all speculation can only be hypothetical.Anyway, Ayangbai was born, and survived, and will gain eternal life. The person who carved it did not leave a name, but I think that when he made traces with a chisel, he must have kept his voice and held his breath while carving with his heart. The person who sculpted it must be a person with high character and warmth, and also a person who truly understands the beauty of art.The moment I met A Yangbai, I could see the traces of a pair of hands passing by.That can only be a pair of men's hands, and only men's hands can liberate women's beauty in a true sense.

The morning light was surging, and Ayang Bai and I were also bathed in light.I approached it and looked at it carefully. I was actually looking at myself. Its enduring charm lies in its authenticity, solemnity and vividness. It can perceive language, and its depths have stirred up waves that make men and women linger in this world—waves that will never be restored. For it, all worldly speculation is meaningless. But I am still not exempt, trying to excuse the criticism it has caused. It ranks among the sacred places of Buddhism, does it remind people that the thinking of being a Buddha should be started by humans, not by gods.Only human beings can think about religion and philosophy, and human beings crawl out of their mother's womb crying. Ayangbai is the window of our life. When our thoughts are wandering in boundless spirit, we should not ignore the things of life itself.Without life, nothing would exist.

Of course, these thoughts are only fleeting. In front of A Yangbai, all you need is a peaceful gaze.I watched it over and over again, from far to near, from near to far. At this time, the sunlight became more intense, which made Ayangbai glow with a radiant beauty. The beauty of Ayangbai is that it nakedly exposes what people regard as sacred or evil, so that the sacred and evil cannot exist attached to it, and it exists only for itself.Like a delicate and unusual golden morning glory, swaying in the deep mountains and wild valleys, releasing its quiet, dazzling, turbulent and long-lasting beauty.
