Chapter 1 first bone

ice mirror 曾国藩 1642Words 2018-03-20
[translation] As the saying goes: "Remove the husk of the rice, it is the chaff of little use, but the essence of the rice, the rice, still exists and will not be lost due to the wear and tear of the husk." This essence, when used on a person, is a person's inner mental state. As the saying goes: "Although the soil on the surface of the mountain is often shed and lost, it will not collapse and break, because its main part is a rock as hard as steel and will not be blown away by wind and rain." The "township" mentioned here "Stone", which is equivalent to the most solid body in a person

The hard part - the bone.A person's mental state is mainly concentrated in his two eyes; a person's bone is handsome, mainly concentrated in one of his faces. For workers, farmers, businessmen, sergeants and other types of personnel, we should not only look at their inner mental state, but also examine their body posture. As readers who mainly focus on literature, it mainly depends on their mental state and whether their bones are handsome or not.Spirit and bones are like two gates, and fate is like various treasures hidden deep inside. Looking at people's spirit and bones is equivalent to opening two gates. After the door is opened, it is natural to discover the treasures inside and measure the temperament of the person. The two gates--spirit and bone, are the first key to observe people.

[translation] When ancient doctors, literati, and health practitioners studied and observed human "spirit", they generally divided "spirit" into two types: pure and turbid. It is relatively easy to distinguish the purity and turbidity of the "God", but because the purity is also divided into treachery and loyalty, it is not easy to distinguish treachery and loyalty. To examine whether a person is treacherous or loyal, one should first look at his performance in both states of movement and stillness. When the eyes are static, the eyes are serene, calm and bright, with deep feelings, like two bright pearls, concealed but not revealed; When the eyes are static, the eyes are clear and steady, as if there is no one else around. When it is in motion, the gaze hides murderous intentions, and the sharpness is exposed, as if aiming at the target. The above two expressions are clear and clear, which belong to pure expressions. When the eyes are static, the eyes are like the light of fireflies, weak and flickering; when they are dynamic, the eyes are like flowing water, clear but erratic. The above two kinds of eyes, one is the expression that is good at disguising, the other is the expression that is treacherous and cute. When the eyes are at rest, the eyes seem to be sleeping, half asleep, half awake; when they are moving, the eyes are always as restless as a frightened deer. The above two kinds of gazes, one is the expression of being wise and capable but not following the righteous way, the other is the expression of deep-seated schemes but afraid that others will peep into his heart.People with the first two expressions are mostly flawed people, and those with the latter two expressions are people who are silent, and they all belong to treacherous expressions. But they are mixed in the pure expression, which must be carefully distinguished when observing the gods.

[translation] Generally speaking, it is easier to identify the mental state of a person by observing and identifying it. It is easier to identify the kind that is just pretending to be uplifting there, and the kind that seems to be pretending to be uplifting there, but may be really invigorated. more difficult to identify.Insufficient spirit, even if it is pretending to cheer up and show on the outside, the lack of characteristics cannot be concealed. And the spirit is superabundant because it is naturally revealed and contained in it.Taoism has the so-called "clean up the entry" theory, which is used to observe the "God".For a cautious person, one should look at him before he "clears up the door", so that we can find that the more cautious he is, the less refined his actions will be, and he always seems to be careless. This kind of mental state , is the so-called contemptuousness; for a frank and unrestrained person, you have to look at him from the time when he has "packed up the door", so that you can find that the more frank and unrestrained he is, the more prudent and careful his actions will be, and he will be meticulous in everything he does. , This kind of mental state actually exists in the inner world, but as long as they are revealed to the outside, they will immediately become modality, and modality is relatively easy to see.

[translation] Each of the nine noble bones has its own posture: the heavenly court bone is plump and full; the occipital bone is fully exposed; the parietal bone is straight and abrupt; It is not exposed, vaguely like a rhinoceros horn lying there; the nasal bone is shaped like asparagus and bamboo shoots, and rises upright; the cheekbones are powerful and powerful, but not sunken or exposed; When looking at the bone phase of the head, we mainly look at the three key parts of the heavenly court, the occipital bone, and the sun bone; when looking at the bone phase of the face, we mainly look at the two key parts of the brow bone and cheekbones. If the above five bones are perfect, this person must be a pillar of the country; if only one of them is possessed, this person will not be poor all his life; if two of them are possessed, this person will not be humble all his life; If one possesses three of them, the person will prosper as long as he makes a difference; if one possesses four of them, this person will definitely be distinguished.

[translation] Longevity; if the cheekbones are close to the end of the eyes and the cheekbones are over the eyes, there will be no offspring. The difference between rich and poor here is like the shortness of a millimeter and the length of a thousand miles. It is very big.
