The Analects of Confucius 南怀瑾 9077Words 2018-03-20
This has been a big question and a big mystery for thousands of years. After Confucius said "one consistent way", now there are some religious groups attached to it such as "one consistent way", which has become a problem in the problem, which is really incredible. Once was Zeng Shen.Confucius said to Zeng Shen, why not tell others? This is a human problem. How can it be a human problem? This question is annoying to explain.Let’s turn him into a script for the time being. One day Confucius was sitting in the classroom and Zeng passed in front of him, so Confucius stopped him: “Chen!” Zeng Shen heard the teacher’s call and turned around, so Confucius told him Say: "My way is consistent." That is to say, I will pass on something to you, and it will be consistent. What is this consistent? If it is money, it is okay to connect it, but this "Tao" is not money, so how can it be consistent? But after Zeng Zi heard this sentence, he bowed his head and said, "Yes, I understand." After Confucius said this sentence, he fell silent again. The students were surprised. As soon as Confucius left, they gathered around Zeng Shen and asked him what charade he was playing with the teacher. What did the master pass on to Zeng Shen?Zeng Zi has no way to tell these students who are not advanced enough, he can only tell them that the teacher's way is only loyalty and forgiveness.Be a person and do things, do your best, and try to be tolerant and tolerant to others. This is how you can enter.Did you attend the lecture, right?something wrong!

That's not called "one consistent", it should be "two" consistent, because one is loyal and the other is forgiven, isn't it two consistent?Obviously Confucius told him to "consist with one thing", why did he conjure up two -- loyalty and forgiveness?this is a big problem. Therefore, it is an annoying problem for us to study the mind of Confucius, so we can only borrow things from other families and tell a few stories for everyone to use as a reference for this question. We know that the most popular ancient Zen Buddhism is now generally called "Zen Studies" in society. There is a story in Zen Buddhism, which is also very famous in literature. It is the story of "smiling with flowers", which is about Sakyamuni, the leader of Buddhism. (Sakyamuni is a transliteration of Sanskrit, Sakyamuni is a surname, Chinese means "Nengren", and Muni is translated into Chinese as "Jimo". In his later years, he lived in Lingshan—also called Lingshan Mountain. He left the throne at the age of nine to become a monk, became enlightened at the age of thirty-two, and did not pass away until the age of eighty-one. He was engaged in education for forty-nine years. Now we don’t study it from a religious point of view.) In Zen, it is called "Shangtang", and later our Neo Confucianism also used this term. There were a lot of students waiting for him below, and they didn't know what he was going to talk about that day. As a result, he went up and didn't speak for a long time. He took a flower in the flower pot in front of him, and turned around to everyone, as if hinting at everyone. Take a look at the appearance of this flower, but didn't say a word, none of the students below understood what the teacher meant by this movement. So this is called "Nianhua", that is, Shakya Nianhua. After Sakyamuni picked up the flower, he had a big disciple, Venerable Kasyapa, (Ye, according to the old Sanskrit transliteration, Yinxie. Venerable, it means old and respected.) Most of Sakyamuni's disciples are related to Contrary to Confucius, what Confucius taught was the younger generation. Most of the disciples Shakyamuni taught were older than him.It is recorded in the Buddhist scriptures that Venerable Kassapa "broke his face and smiled" after Sakyamuni held the flower. What is broken face?Because the religious education groups are well-behaved and silent when they come up, everyone looks very serious. However, in this serious atmosphere, Venerable Kassapa couldn't bear it any longer, so he gave a "puchi" smile, which is called breaking his serious face, but he didn't dare to laugh out loud, because the precepts of religious groups, It is equivalent to talking about the management system, which is very serious. After he broke his face, he didn't laugh out loud, just smiled. Then the combination of the movements of the two is called "smiling with flowers".At this time, Sakyamuni spoke. These few words are the technical terms of Zen, which is equivalent to Confucius' speech to Zeng Zeng.

The "consistency" in the lecture is a truth. It is very troublesome to explain. These few sentences translated into Chinese are: "I have Zhengfayanzang, Nirvana wonderful mind, reality without form, subtle method, no words, non-teaching, and Fu Zhu Maha ( Yin Maha, which means great, great achievement.) Kassapa.” That is to say, I have a very good method, which can directly enlighten the Tao, and now I have given it to this great disciple Kassapa. This is the beginning of Zen.Therefore, it is also called Zen as the method of "translation outside the teaching, without writing".It is said that it does not need to use words to convey the meaning of this Tao.Now we are not talking about Zen, so don't study it for the time being. (I don't really advocate people to study, I often

I told my friends not to study it, because I was afraid that ordinary people would climb in and not be able to get out. ) is just citing such a thing, compared to "Zi said: Shenhu! My way is consistent." Similar to the same. What did Confucius always say?And why does the Buddhist school pick up flowers and smile at the other? It means that we have two people, one holds up a piece of chalk, and the other says: "Understood!" Unless these two people have "underworld" terms and codes, they don't know what each other is talking about.right? - a smile. Let us now cite the second story to illustrate.Zen came to China during the reign of Emperor Liang Wu of the Southern and Northern Dynasties. "Dharma", that is, to use the meaning of this term.) An Indian Patriarch Bodhidharma (the so-called patriarch is different from the leader), he is also a prince who became a monk. Eighteen generations. We know that in the early years of the Song Dynasty in our country, Buddhism in India disappeared entirely. The invasion of Arab culture, Islamic power ruled India. Therefore, after the Song Dynasty, India did not even have Buddhist literature. To study Buddhist thought today, to be honest, only China has the most complete literature. After the seventeenth century, Britain, France and other countries began to find incomplete and leftover Buddhist cultural materials from India, and translated them into foreign languages to produce the Western Buddhist system. But until now, they do not recognize the Chinese Buddhist system, which is deliberately created by Westerners, especially some people. In fact, after the Song Dynasty, all of India's Buddhist systems have arrived in China, which is very complete and has a large scale.Indigenous Buddhism in India can be said to have disappeared. The Sanskrit Buddhist system after the seventeenth century is another system, it should be said to be the later Buddhist system of Westerners. This is a big problem in the history of world scholarship, and we will leave it alone here.

Patriarch Bodhidharma brought Zen to China from India before the Sui and Tang Dynasties, during the period of Emperor Wu of Liang.Later, it was handed down to the sixth patriarch of Zen in the Tang Dynasty, Huineng of Guangdong, who was the sixth patriarch of Zen in China. In the history of Chinese culture, this period is equivalent to a revolution in Buddhism, which overthrew the classic research based on the interpretation of the text, and produced a new spirit of Buddhism in Chinese culture. After the Sixth Patriarch came down, there was a monk named "Ju Di Zen Master", who was the source of the "One-Finger Zen" story in my country's Zen—but please note that there is a book called "Three-Finger Zen", which is a medical book on the study of pulse , not to be mistaken for a Zen book. What is "One Finger Zen"?Zen Buddhism is not limited to preaching with words. This great Zen master after the Sixth Patriarch, someone asked him what is "Tao"?He answered very simply, every time he held up a stick of food to point people, and said, "This is it!" What is this?No one knows, but the person who asked him understood and realized the Tao.

One day the old monk went out and was not at home. A young monk who had followed him for many years was guarding the temple. One day, someone came to ask the old monk, but the little novice said that the master is not there, so you should ask me.The person who asked asked the little novice to tell him what Tao is. The little novice, following the example of the master, raised an index finger and said to the person who asked, "This!" The person who asked was very happy, and knelt down. Because the person who asked the question really understood and realized the Tao.This little novice really doesn't understand. When the master came back, the little novice told the master about the matter. The master went in after hearing the report, and came out with his hands behind his back, asking the little novice to talk about how he preached to others, and the little novice then gestured and stretched out a stick.

The index finger said, "This!" The master waved his hand behind his back, took a sharp knife in his hand, and cut off the little novice's index finger. The little novice's finger was chopped off, and he yelled: "Oh!" The little novice also realized the Tao because of this. There are many stories like this in Zen Buddhism, and we don’t care about the Tao of Zen Buddhism. The few stories mentioned here are the same as what Confucius said: "Chenhu! My way is consistent." Isn't it the same?Looking back from Zen, I found that Confucius was the same as One-Finger Zen. What is the word "one" he said "one consistent"?When Zeng Zi heard this, he smiled like Kassapa and said, "Yes! I understand." After Zeng Shen understood, Confucius went out, and the disciples surrounded Zeng Zi, asking what the teacher said.It can be seen that Confucius said this passage to Zeng Shen is not simple, so the students asked him what he meant, and Zeng Zi replied: "The way of a master is to be loyal and forgiving!" In fact, it means

Said, don't ask, your level is not yet reached! Yoshimitsu is fleeting Speaking of this, there is another big problem in the Internet, which is the same as this problem. I will talk about it in the future, and now I will study it together. It is in the last paragraph of the tenth "Xiangdang": "Sess lifted up. After flying Collection. Said: The female pheasant on the mountain ridge, the time is the time! The son and the road are shared, and the three smells are written." Zhu Xi, a Dali scholar in the Song Dynasty, Zhu Fuzi, and scholars of all dynasties believed that the context of this passage lost words. In ancient times, printing was not as developed as in our modern times. Books are so-called bamboo slips carved on bamboo slices with a knife, and each piece is easy to lose. But this point of view is also not fully acceptable.

Let's read the original text: "Sesi Ju" means that before the bird starts to fly, it spreads its wings, flies to the blue sky, and then passes away. This is a vivid picture of natural beauty, and the beauty of artistic conception is quite similar to the recently popular "a sand gull in heaven and earth".Now look at the original text: Shanliang-on the hill, female pheasant-female pheasant (female pheasant on the hill), time and time-right at this time. Then Zilu heard from the side, "communication"—that is, he bowed his hands and said: "Oh!" Why did he "smell three times"? "Three smells" - the so-called smell means to inhale through the nose. When we were young, we used to joke: "The way is shared, and the three smells are made." Why?

Zilu wanted to eat pheasant, so he smelled it first with his nose.He also said: Zilu is a qigong practitioner. He first took three breaths, "worked", and then punched out, so the pheasant was knocked down by Zilu. These are jokes. So what exactly is recorded in this passage? From our point of view, it is the same as "my way is consistent", and it is also the same as the principle of "smiling with flowers" in Zen Buddhism.I don't think any words have been dropped. It records the situation at that time and describes the scene of flying. "Sesi Ju" - everyone has seen peacocks and pheasants.I lived in the mountains for a long time, and a large flock of pheasants came out in the mountains, which is indeed very beautiful. "Ses lifts up", before the pheasant is about to take off, it spreads its wings and tail, which is as beautiful as a peacock, and then takes off. "Xiang" means to fly for a while, then come down again, where does it stop?On top of the hill.Confucius saw this scene on the spot. The pheasant had bright feathers. Upon closer inspection, it was a female pheasant, standing leisurely and peacefully on the hill.At this time, Zilu was also nearby, and Confucius told Zilu, "It's time! It's time!"

This "time! Time!" occupies a very important position in Confucius' thoughts throughout his life, especially in the study of Chinese culture, and more attention should be paid to the issue of "time".Everything in life, whether it is a small personal matter or a national event, must grasp the timing. There is also the "bit" - the environment. The point is here.Everything in the world is changing, changing at any time, nothing stays the same, time is changing every minute, space is changing anytime, anywhere. So Confucius often mentioned the changes of time and space in his poems.I often tell young students, don't resent or complain, young people are not afraid of losing their future, just ask if you can stand up; but you must know how to grasp time and space.Like catching a bus, this is life.People who have waited for a long time should not complain, because they arrived too early; some just arrived, and the car drove out, so they got very angry and cursed for a while, what's the use of cursing?Just wait for the next class to be the first to go up, otherwise it will be fine. From this small matter, you can also understand life, how to arrange yourself, and grasp the time. Confucius told Zilu, "It's time! Time!" It also contains this truth. The pheasant stands on the hill and looks very proud. If it stands next to the chicken coop in the central vegetable market, what do you think will happen to it?Standing on that hill, it looks like a phoenix.Just like the poem written by Zuo Si in the Jin Dynasty: "Shake your clothes on Qianrengang, and wash your feet for thousands of miles." A picture of nature, with Qianrengang on the top and the waves of the Yangtze River on the bottom, standing alone on it, is really a fairy among gods. , Great, this is the right time and the right place.Confucius pointed to the beautiful female pheasant on the hill and said to Zilu: "It's time! It's time!" It means, you see, the female pheasant flew up at this time, and then landed in such a good place. A scene of activities, alluding to the principles of life and dealing with the world. Confucius traveled around the world, trying to save this era, the world, and this history and culture, but he felt that he was unable to do so.He used this scene to express this meaning to Zilu instead of talking positively, just like the way Sakyamuni smiled while holding a flower.Instead of using words, use the current facts to instruct Zilu. You must understand this, stand firm, stand firm, stand well, and stand in your good position earlier. "It's time! It's time!" Seize the moment. At this time, Zilu cupped his hands: "Yes!" Sanxi was Zilu's reaction after he understood it, and he suddenly realized and sighed. Chinese characters and ancient Chinese characters are very simple, that's what it is, but if you rewrite it into a script in modern characters, it will be at least two pages of dialogue, plus performances, and the shooting may take 20 minutes. We must be very careful when studying "Xiangdang" in this paragraph, so I will only give a brief introduction here in advance. Now let’s go back to the article on benevolence; “Shenhu! My way is consistent.” The meaning of this statement is the truth. It is also equivalent to Zilu's "Shanliang female pheasant... It's time! It's time!".I mentioned Zeng Zi's "I examine myself three times a day", this person worked hard, paid great attention to cultivating his inner peace, and cultivated his morality to a certain extent. Confucius saw him come in—a person's moral quality has reached a state of tranquility and serenity. The way you walk is different from usual; when you are depressed, the way you walk is different from when you are happy. His knowledge and moral cultivation have reached this level, and as soon as he walked in front of Confucius, this most holy teacher saw the heat.So Confucius called him over: "Shenhu! My way is consistent." - I talked about other knowledge for a long time, but it was all empty. It is equivalent to what Sakyamuni said without writing, the truth is in your own heart, and the heart can be peaceful, serene, and ordinary anytime, anywhere, and this state is almost the same. You will always maintain this level of self-cultivation, and over time you will be able to do whatever you want without overstepping the rules. However, most students have not cultivated to this level. The truth of this is not to know it immediately, but to have the real cultivation of the inner meaning.Zeng Zi also knew that ordinary students did not reach this level, so he pushed it lightly, pushed it to behavior, and warned them to pay attention to the way of loyalty and forgiveness in life and work. The knowledge of Confucius does have a period of inner cultivation and real skills, and it is not just empty theories.Let's stop here for the time being in this paragraph, sorry for my ignorance and lack of knowledge. There are still issues of this kind in the future, and we can talk about them later. Benevolence and righteousness are worth a thousand gold Next: The Master said: A gentleman is a metaphor for righteousness, and a villain is a metaphor for profit. This section of record involves Confucian benevolence, that is, the study of mind. This "heart" includes the so-called psychology of thought and so on, but it is not limited to the current psychological heart, but refers to the heart of "my way is consistent". What is "Yu"?Pay attention to this word.Modern people like to talk about logic. Logic is a part of Western culture. After the 16th century, the way of logic became popular. It was developed from the original logic of Greece.Logic is a way of thinking. We once introduced philosophy. Philosophy asks how did the universe begin?Which came first, the chicken or the egg?Which came first the male or the female?Philosophers have two views on this: one is materialism, he said that the universe began with water, from water to fire, and then cooled and gradually formed the present world. There is also a school in India that says that the four elements of earth, water, fire, and wind are the root of the beginning of heaven and earth. It is equivalent to the five elements of Chinese metal, wood, water, fire and earth. These theories gradually evolved into the materialistic thinking of later generations. The other school is idealistic, and believes that the universe has a spiritual master who transcends matter, and matter is created by him. This involves philosophical issues, and there are many explanations. In later generations, questions were raised, asking how did philosophers know where the universe came from?Philosophers say that it comes from learning and thinking, so first study your philosopher's thinking (tool) to judge whether it is accurate or not. Thus was born logic—the study of the laws of thought. The law of this kind of thinking existed in Indian Buddhism long before Greece. Regarding this issue, world scholars also have two schools of thought: one is the position of Westerners, who believes that India’s way of thinking comes from Greece; From the Indian method. This method in India, which we translate as "the study of reason", is more complete and rigorous than Western logic. The Hegelian dialectics known to women and children in Western culture - "positive, negative, combined" is world-famous.So when many people talked about it, they said that ours is really great, and it is exactly the same as Hegel's dialectics of "positive, negative, and combination".This is the tragedy of the Chinese!I said man!We are the product of five thousand years ago, when did Hegel invent dialectics? Why compare the things of our ancestors with Westerners, and say they are the same as him? This is equivalent to seeing a grandfather dragging his grandson along on the street, saying that the grandfather looks like the grandson, but not saying that the grandson looks like the grandfather. How do you say that the method of reason is better than logic? There are several steps in Yin Ming, simply speaking: "Zong, Yin, Yu, and He". "Zong" is the premise, there must be a reason for speaking, and the reason for "Zong" is "cause".Sometimes there are cases and reasons for things that are still unclear, and only metaphors can be used to explain them. This is a "metaphor", which is called a "fable" in Chinese. There are many fables in every religion. For example, in the Christian Bible in Western culture, there are many fables. Every great leader is very good at telling parables, including cryptic words and humorous words. Both the reason and the reason are explained, then it is the "combination" of the conclusion.Because of the metaphor in the middle, these gossips are drawn out. "A gentleman is like "Righteousness, the villain refers to profit" means: When talking to a gentleman, they only ask whether they should do it morally; when talking to a villain, he just thinks about whether there is any profit. If we look at today from the point of view of Confucius The world in today’s world is miserable. Everything in today’s world is based on profit, and it only makes sense to put profit first. However, the world is full of villains, so it’s simple. The trouble is, there are always There is a distinction between a villain and a gentleman, which is very difficult to deal with. So, how can we be kind? The Master said: When seeing a virtuous person, think of Qi Yan, and when seeing an unvirtuous person, reflect on oneself. As mentioned above, people who are truly "benevolent" must be able to love others and not hate others.Even if you hate it, you must change the person you hate so that he can also achieve the state of "benevolence".Here I add the principle that when we see a sage who has cultivated morality and knowledge, we want to reach his level and achieve the same level of achievement as him; It can be used as a mirror for self-reflection.The above sentence is to explain the above-mentioned truth that a benevolent person loves others and cannot be evil; the following sentence is to explain the above-mentioned truth that "people's faults are also their own party". filial son benevolent The Master said: When you are admonished by your parents a few times, you will not follow your will, but you will respect and not disobey, and you will work without complaining. Now talking about the scope of benevolence in filial piety, he said that parents must be "remonstrated" for their mistakes. What is "a few remonstrances"?We have mentioned several times that the Kong’s shop was knocked down, and it was all caused by the mistaken concept of the shop assistants in the Kong’s shop. After the Confucianism of the Song Dynasty discussed Taoism, there was a famous saying: "There is no wrong parent in the world".Therefore, when the "May 4th Movement" wanted to overthrow the Confucian shop, these also became the focus of the crime. In fact, Confucian thinking is not like this. There are wrong parents in the world, and parents may not be completely right. As a filial son, we must try our best to dissuade parents from being wrong. "Seeing one's ambitions and not following one's will" means that parents do not listen to persuasion, then "respect without disobedience, labor without complaint", I had no choice but to follow behind and yell, cry, and make a scene, because you are my parents, and if you break the law, there is nothing I can do about it, but I want to tell you, this is wrong. You are my parents. I know that if I follow you, I may lose my life. Because I am your son, I have to die for you, but I still want to tell you that this is wrong. This spirit of filial piety does not mean that parents will definitely be wrong, but that if there is something wrong, they should be gently persuaded, even if they resist, there must be a limit. In short, if there is something wrong with the parents, you should tell him the truth clearly, but you are born and raised by your parents, and you have to sacrifice for your parents when necessary. This is the principle. therefore: Confucius said: Parents are here, if you don't travel far, you must travel well. The ancients said that when parents are old, they are afraid that no one will take care of them, so they will not travel far. Even if they want to travel far, they must have a direction.I disagree with this explanation.Who would walk without a certain direction when going out?Going to the moon is still a direction.I think that "you must have a way" refers to the method. Parents are old and have no one to take care of them. When children travel far away, they must have a way to settle down. This is the way of filial piety. "Fang" should be the method, not the direction. The Master said: If you have not changed your father's way for three years, you can be called filial piety. This issue has already been discussed, but this article is here, why is it raised separately? This is caused by receiving the above sentence "you must have a way".Abandoned from parents, not in front of parents for three years, deeply attached to parents' love and filial piety, this is a filial son.At the same time, there is clear evidence for the mistakes of the ancients in explaining this sentence above, and it can be corrected. The Master said: You must not know the age of your parents. One is for joy and the other for fear. Confucius said, as children, we must know the age of our parents.why? Two kinds of psychology, one is happy because knowing that the age of the parents is one year older, and the life is added by one year; but at the same time, it is afraid, because the older the parents are, the closer they are to the end of life, and getting along with their parents for their children The time for performing filial piety is also shorter, so there are these two contradictory psychology. The above is from benevolence to filial piety, and now we have to return to the principle of benevolence from filial piety. Word of the benevolent The Master said: The ancients were ashamed of not being able to catch their words. This is about the importance of using benevolence.Confucius said that people in ancient times were not willing to speak indiscriminately, let alone empty talk, so why didn't they just talk casually?Because I am afraid that my behavior will not be able to do it.Therefore, people who practice benevolence and have faith are often not easy to agree, not easy to speak. There is a saying in our history - "Chong Rannuo", which means that we are not willing to agree to a word easily, and we must keep what we promise. We have also seen in history the opposite of "little promises lead to little faith", which means that people who promise something casually often fail to keep their promises, so Confucius pointed out this truth. The Master said: It is rare to lose a promise. Therefore, whether it is personal cultivation, whether it is dealing with major or minor matters, it is best to pay attention to "those who lose by promises are rare!" A covenant means restraint, restraint, caution, and prudence, which means that we must always restrain ourselves.A prudent person makes fewer mistakes; a dissolute person makes mistakes easily; Therefore, if personal behavior and morality can be self-disciplined and self-managed, there will be fewer failures. Confucius said: A gentleman wants to be slow in speech, but quick in action. Finally, I talked about the importance of benevolence's words and deeds. "Na" means that the mouth seems clumsy; a sharp mouth is useless except for teaching, bragging, and singing.A truly benevolent person is not good at talking empty words, but he is quick in action when he does things. In other words, do it first and talk later, don't just talk about it without doing it. Confucius said: Virtue is not alone, there must be neighbors. According to my research, I believe that the chapters and sentences in each article are coherent and cannot be disassembled, and the order of the twenty chapters is also coherent and cannot be disassembled. Now here is another proof. This "Li Ren" is not to teach you to find a Ren'ai road to live in.The explanation of the ancients is to choose a residence and find a benevolent place. Where can there be so many benevolent places in the world?Where can I find it?Confucius' own hometown was not necessarily Renli back then.Where is Renli? If our hometown is a world ruled by inhumanity, will we leave him alone? We are about to bring him back and bring sin down. This is the benevolence of human nature! In fact, the word "li" means "to be in the middle", and the place where the heel stands firmly is called "li". "In benevolence" means that the foothold of our life is benevolence. Therefore, "virtue is not alone, there must be neighbors." If you have moral cultivation, you can have both physical and practical skills, and it will naturally affect those close to you. Xiu, Qi, Zhi, and Ping in "The Great Learning" are also based on this principle.Ordinary people often criticize morality as a useless cultivation from the perspective of current interests.Speaking of this, I recently read a notebook of the Qing Dynasty. It mentioned that there was a very clean man who returned to his hometown. One day he saw a countryman selling a fresh fish in front of the door. After asking the price, he felt that there was no money in his pocket. , did not buy into.I mentioned it to my wife when I got home, and she said why don't you write a note to him!He asked what note to write to buy fish? The wife said that if you write the word "honest official", he will give you the fish. The wife kept him silent, and the old man was amused. What does this mean?It means that living for morality, sometimes you will feel lonely and desolate. So I think if loneliness can be regarded as a kind of enjoyment, then it can be moral. If you regard loneliness as pain rather than enjoyment, it is difficult to speak of true knowledge and morality. But here, Confucius tells us that if you really live for morality, you will never be lonely, and there must be someone who walks with you and your friends. This is a conclusion. Almost the entire article above is based on the words of Confucius, and the last two sentences use the words of Ziyou: Ziyou said: "It is humiliating to serve the number of kings."The number of friends is sparse. From our point of view, it seems to be the same, and there are often two hanging sentences at the end, which seem to be irrelevant. The most wonderful thing here is not to use Confucius' words, but to use the words of his student Ziyou.Ziyou's words mean that if you want to talk about the "action" of benevolence and love, you must also know how to do it, and you can't do it randomly. It is not easy to be loyal to a gentleman. When the king has something wrong, every time he sees and persuades him, many times, if he insists on being a loyal minister, he will make trouble with himself, and sometimes his life will be lost. The same is true for friends. If a friend is wrong, if you persuade him too much, he will become an enemy if he doesn't listen to you. Why are Ziyou's words put here? This is the other side of human nature.Although it is natural to practice benevolence, one must pay attention to methods. For example, everyone likes to read this book.Wei Zheng's loyalty and his moral knowledge made Tang Taizong awe and trust him.Tang Taizong liked a little kite, and one day he was playing with a bird. Wei Zheng came, and Tang Taizong was afraid that he would talk, so he quickly hid the bird in his arms. Although I was worried about the bird, there was nothing I could do about him. When Wei Zheng left, Tang Taizong took out the beloved bird in his arms and saw that his soul had already returned to the sky.So sad, he went back to the harem, and said furiously, "I must kill this farmer (county bumpkin, referring to Wei Zheng)!" Empress Changsun asked the reason, and immediately put on a dress to salute and congratulate Tang Taizong. Tang Taizong said there was nothing wrong He's?The queen said, Tang Dynasty has a good minister like Wei Zheng and a good emperor like you. This is a good phenomenon that has never happened in history. The prosperity of the country can be expected. So Tang Taizong calmed down and stopped talking.A man as magnanimous as Emperor Taizong of Tang accepted Wei Zheng's opinions. In the end, Emperor Taizong was so angry that he wanted to kill him. If it wasn't for the empress of Tang Taizong who secretly rescued Wei Zheng, this old man would not be able to keep his head. what!Later Wei Zheng died, Tang Taizong finally believed in the slander, and put his Tombstones were knocked down.It was not until Tang Taizong failed to conquer Korea that he remembered that if Wei Zheng was there, there would be no such loss.So his tombstone was erected. Here I put these few words of Ziyou at the end of this article about benevolence, which contains deep emotion. But if you keep these two sentences in mind anytime and anywhere, whether you are a subordinate or a friend, you will become slippery and irresponsible, and that is not benevolence. That's why we studied the theories of Confucius and Mencius and understood life, and then we realized that it is not easy to be a human being, and we really need to experience more history and life.Only then can we achieve "the failure must be the same, and the upheaval must be the same." You can live in the realm of benevolence anytime, anywhere.
