Chapter 18 Chapter 5 Qian Dehong's Postscript - Published in succession

Biography 王阳明 1625Words 2018-03-20
Qian Dehong once wrote a postscript for "Answer to Lu Yuan's Jingshu" (see the second volume), and this "postscript" was specially written by Qian Dehong for the second volume, not including the first and second volumes. Jiajing Wuzidong, Dehong and Wang Ruzhong went to the teacher's funeral to Guangxin, where the obituary was from the same family, and the last words were collected for about three years.Afterwards, each of the same sects recorded what they left behind.Hong chose the one who asked the truth, combined with private records, and got several articles. When I lived in Wu, it will be engraved together with "Wen Lu".Appropriate to worry about, unsuccessful. At that time, there are more and more lectures in the four directions, and the purpose of the teacher's school is clear. If there is nothing to engrave, I will not worry about it.

Last year, Zeng Zicai, a fellow student of the same family, got Hong's handwritten copy, and it was republished as a collection called "Last Words", which was engraved in Jing. When Hong read it, he felt that the collection was not refined at that time, but to delete its repetitions, cut off the overgrown vines, and save one third of it. It was called "Zhuanxi Xulu", and it was reproduced in Shuixi Jingshe in Ningguo. This summer, when Hong came to visit Qi, Shen Junsiwei said: "The teachings of the master's family have been practiced in the four powers for a long time, but they have not reached Qi. The scholars of Qi have to read the last words. Seeing the light of the sun and the moon. I am afraid of passing on the knowledge of learning, but not repeating it. Please engrave it for those who have lost it, how about it?"

Hong said: "However, the purpose of the teacher's school is to 'extend knowledge and investigate things'. To learn, scholars practice silently and do not dare to explain the inheritance with knowledge, but only to obtain it with reality. Therefore, my teacher always speaks the truth without worrying about it. Scholars Listen to the truth all day long and never tire of counting. If you are specific in instruction, you will understand the essence of the day. You will almost welcome it before the words, and the spirit will be beyond the words. Gradually becoming obsessed, isn’t it because our party’s ineffectiveness in practice and talking too much is a disease? Scholars tend to be different, and teachers’ teachings are not publicized.”

It is to take the free manuscript again, and those who do not recite their words will get a volume. The rest of the influence is not true, and those contained in the "Wenlu" are all cut off.And Yi Zhongjuan is a question and answer language, which was engraved by Fu Huangmeiyin and Zhang Junzeng.A few readers don't explain the inheritance with knowledge, but only get it with reality, so it is undoubtedly recorded. In the summer and April of Bingchen, Jiajing, a disciple, Qian Dehong, worshiped at Chongzheng Academy in Qizhi. In the winter of the seventh year of Jiajing (1528), Qian Dehong (me) and Wang Ruzhong went to Guangxin (now Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province) for the funeral when they heard that the teacher passed away. remarks. After that, the alumni successively sent their own records.I selected the part about academic questions and answers, added my own records, and edited several articles together. When I was in Wu (now Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province), I planned to engrave these records together with the "Wenlu", but it happened that I left my post due to mourning, and my wish failed. At that time, the atmosphere of lecturing became more and more strong in the world, and my husband's academic purpose was very clear, so I was not in a hurry to engrave it.Therefore, I no longer worry about this matter.

Last year, Xueyou Zeng Caihan got my collection, and collected some quotations from Mr., and attached them to the back, named it "Last Words", and published it in Jingzhou. After I read "The Last Words", I felt that the collection was not accurate enough, so I deleted the repetitive and complicated parts, and kept one-third of the "Last Words", and named it "Zhuanxi Xulu", which was engraved on the Shuixi Jing in Ningguo, Anhui Abandon. This summer, when I went to Qichun, Hubei, Shen Siwei said to me: "Mr. It seems that knowing the conscience is like seeing the brilliance of the sun and the moon again. I’m afraid that the collection of the teachings is not extensive, and you are not afraid of repetition. Please collect the other parts that have not been collected and publish them. What do you think?”

I replied: "Of course. The purpose of Mr. Zhizhi Gewu is to teach and learn. People who learn are only practicing silently. They dare not only experience knowledge, but only seek to gain experience through practical experience." Therefore, the teacher never tires of talking about it all day long, and the students never tire of listening to it all day long. Because the subject is single-minded, the comprehension will be more refined. Before the teacher said it, the disciple already knew what he was going to say, and the understanding of academics went beyond the teacher's words. It fully embodies the sincerity of both teaching and learning. However, it has not been three years since Mr. passed away (the first period is twelve years), but his maxims and purposes have gradually become blurred. Isn’t this because we disciples have not practiced enough and just talked about it? Is there too much bad effect? If the goals of the disciples are not consistent, the theory of our teacher will not be carried forward."

Therefore, I collected some unpublished records, and used the parts that did not violate the academic purpose of my husband to form a volume. The rest that were not faithful to Mr.'s academic purpose and those that had been published in "Wenlu" were all deleted. And adapted the "Middle Volume" into a question-and-answer form, and asked Zhang Junzeng, the magistrate of Huangmei County, to issue it.I hope that readers will not read this book from the interpretation of the meaning of the text, but to understand the conscience in a down-to-earth manner, so that there will be no doubts about this book.

In the summer and April of the thirty-fifth year of Jiajing (1556), Qian Dehong, a disciple, wrote it at Chongzheng Academy in Qichun. This paragraph of text was compiled by Qian Dehong, and he added some content at the end before writing this postscript. The postscript mainly explains the editing situation of this book.It can be seen from the inscription that this book was compiled in the Jiajing Bingchen year, that is, the thirty-fifth year of Jiajing (1556 A.D.).The time when this article was written can also be understood as the time when this book was finally compiled.
