这边张副主任匆匆回彬江，忙着跟有关方面疏通去了，那边，腾龙云又将电话打到省城，再次寻求帮助。没想，这次电话里的声音远比刚才张主任的要凶：“我一直劝你，不要太刚愎自用，你老是不听，老觉得天下老子第一，现在慌了吧。还有那个吴雪，我早就跟你提醒，此人不可靠，你自己怎么说的？”
腾龙云连忙擦汗，甭看他在梁平安面前凶巴的要吃人，一旦跟省城有关人士通起电话，立马就软得像根面条。
“不好意思，老领导，是我有眼无珠，看错了人。关键时刻，您还是说句话吧，姓孟的这样做，也是给您老脸上抹黑啊。”
那边半天没有声音，腾龙云正在发急的时候，那边突然又说：“姓孟的只不过是在唱戏，真正可怕的，是那个刘亚平！好了，这事我会跟彬江方面说，不过你也要收敛一点，甭以为你做的事我不知道，有些事，做不得啊。”那边沉沉地叹了口气，将电话压了。腾龙云抱着电话，久长地站在那儿，看得出，他心里某根神经，被电话那边的人触动了。等他缓过神来想跟梁平安说什么时，才发现，梁平安悄悄溜走了。
一连三天，吴雪把自己关在审计大厦3108房间，谁问话她都不回答。
吴雪来审计大厦，其实没外界传的那么恐怖，谢华锋对她，还是很客气的。某种程度上，她是被谢华锋请到了这儿。
但是这份客气并不能驱走她心头的阴云，从审计令颁发第一天，吴雪心头就被阴云笼罩，这么长的时间过去了，她的心情非但不见好，反而一天比一天沉重。她也说不清，自己为什么会如此沉重？
吴雪加盟龙腾实业，说来还有段小故事。两年前，吴雪所在的彬江化工厂面临解体，市上做出决定，由龙腾实业整体接收彬江化工。本来已经下岗的吴雪做为移交小组成员，又被市上留了下来。那段日子，也是吴雪身心最为颓败最为暗淡的时日。吴雪的丈夫曾是彬江化工生产科科长，彬江化工最后一次试制新产品时，不幸降临到这个家庭，丈夫在车间安装模具时发生意外，一条胳膊被机器卡了，由健康人变成了残废。这事对吴雪打击很大，屋漏偏逢连阴雨，丈夫还在医院治疗，十七岁的儿子在高考体检时又意外查出患有脑瘤。接二连三的打击差点让这个心强的女人倒下，好在有热心人的帮助，吴雪算是挺了过来，但是另一道坎却又横在她面前，她逾越不了。
儿子要做手术，丈夫要长期住院治疗，钱从哪来？原来风光无限的彬江化工早已成空壳，两年前就开不出工资，指望企业，显然是句空话。吴雪又没多少亲戚朋友，丈夫老家在乡下，一家人还指望他接济呢。
天无绝人之路，就在吴雪四处奔波，为儿子和丈夫艰难筹措医疗费的时候，一个人悄然出现在了她的身后。
这个人改变了她的生活。
