高长河情绪沮丧地说：“算了，算了，姜超林同志那里，还是我抽空解释吧，你就安心抓好烈山的案子，一定要抓实抓细，办成铁案，不要留下什么后遗症。”
放下电话，高长河心里窝囊透了，禁不住一阵阵发呆。姜超林没错，孙亚东也没错，事情却闹得一团糟！想发火骂人，却不知道该向谁发火，该去骂谁？更要命的是，那个何卓孝还真就有问题，孙亚东背着他偏搞出了名堂，既成功的挑战了他的领导权威，又把他推到了一个非常窘迫的位置上。
正想着，刘意如进来了，迟迟疑疑说：“高书记，市民营企业家协会刚才打了个电话过来，说是您答应的，要去参加他们和市交通局联合举办的跨海大桥营运庆祝酒会，不知有没有这事？我的工作安排表上好像没有。”
高长河想了起来：“对，我是在电话中答应过宏大集团于国强的。”
刘意如显然有些意外，怔了一下，轻声提醒道：“高书记，姜书记过去从不参加民营企业家的任何酒会、宴会，很注意影响……”
高长河面露愠色：“姜书记是姜书记，我是我。”看了看手表，快六点了，遂从办公桌前站起来，一边收拾着桌上的文件，一边说，“刘主任，我这酒会也不是随便参加的，得让民营企业家协会的那帮大款们给我出点血，为下岗职工干些实事！刚到平阳嘛，大事一时还干不了，小事总还能先干一点！”
刘意如这才连连说：“那就好，那就好！”
收拾好文件，高长河努力抹去脸上的忧愠，振作精神出了门。
一九九八年六月二十八日十八时三十分平阳国际酒店
平阳市民营企业家协会和宏大集团总部都设在国际酒店二十四楼。高长河在刘意如和市委王秘书长的陪同下走出电梯时，二十四楼楼层里便响起了一片热烈的掌声。年轻精干的宏大集团董事长兼市民营企业家协会会长于国强和几个男女副会长风度翩翩地迎上来，一一和高长河握手，刘意如和市委王秘书长便在一旁介绍。
面对这帮年轻而有朝气的民营企业家们，高长河的心情一下子好多了，在宏大集团总部参观时就笑呵呵对于国强说：“……于董事长，你可是大名鼎鼎呀，以前在省委工作时就听华波书记说起过你，具体内容记不住了，只记住了一点，你这个人很难见。华波书记说，他三下平阳想见你，你都有事出国了，最后还是把你请到了省城，才见了你一面。是不是？”
于国强笑道：“那是不凑巧，也怪华波书记没事先打招呼
