ninth widow 严歌苓 18529Words 2018-03-19
Ugh.Our China is now liberated, and it is a country of working people, and working people are suffering people, poor people. How many sufferers are there? Out of a hundred people, ninety-three are sufferers. The sufferer is always suffering, suffering for several lifetimes, is it fair or not? Isn’t it fair? Putao nodded: Then my father is always suffering, working for fourteen hours a day! . .Don't interrupt, Putao, you will be the daughter-in-law of the support army doctor in the future. The volunteers are soldiers of workers and peasants, sons and brothers of the poor. They specialize in fighting injustice and doing justice for the poor.To destroy an unjust world is revolution.I am a revolutionary soldier, and you are a family member of a revolutionary soldier, so you have to stand with the revolution, do you understand now?

Putao's mouth slowly opened, but she still nodded.Shaoyong means that if you hit me, I will hit you. You say you are a revolution, and I say I am a revolution.Shaoyong kissed Putao's face: "Good Putao, you understand the truth. After all, read some books and write a few words. Sun Huaiqing can't save anyone, he won't survive." "What did you say?!" "He is a counter-revolutionary!" "You say he is counter-revolutionary, so is he counter-revolutionary?" "Everyone says..." "Even if he was a counter-revolutionary, whose child did he throw into the well? Whose wife did he sleep with? Whose pot did he poison?"

"Counter-revolution is greater than those crimes!" The grapes are silent. She is always willing to stand with Shaoyong, she is willing to listen to Shaoyong say that she understands the truth. But she couldn't understand this truth in her heart. Is there something wrong with the Second University, that he has his head on the ground? It would be great if she could figure it out.Otherwise, it's not exciting to think about each other with Shaoyong. "Shoot our father, will the world be fair?" "It would be even more unfair not to shoot." After Shaoyong went back to the hospital, Putao fell asleep in a daze, and when the birds twittered outside, she suddenly opened her eyes, feeling very sad: The Second University is going, this time it really is going.

In the middle of the night, someone saw several large trucks full of people driving out of the city. The next day a notice was posted in the city, saying that a group of bandit tyrants, counter-revolutionaries, and tyrant landlords would be suppressed. With gongs and drums everywhere, the volunteers won the battle. Shitun people did not catch up to see the execution scene.Because many of the condemned prisoners were acquaintances, the old people did not allow the younger generation to go to the river beach to look at the dead bodies. It was a group of dwarfs who saw the execution. The dwarves came from other places to worship one of their ancestral temples, which was as high as a man's head, fifteen miles up the river. There are few people there, and wild animals are infested. Occasionally, some people go there to find herbs. I only know that there is a strange temple in the upper reaches of the river, but I don't know what kind of god it is worshiping. No one has ever crouched or crawled into the temple to see what the dwarf Bodhisattva looks like.

Putao heard the dog roaring and moaning strangely that night, so she couldn't sleep. She walked into the yard, and saw faint blue flames floating in the cemetery not far away, the ghosts were lively tonight. After the Sun family compound was converted into a peasant association, she was allocated a small kiln yard with three north rooms, a kitchen, a sweet potato kiln and a mill shed.Tao Mier used to live in this cave, and it was left idle after she got married. The walls and vaults of the cave are covered with New Year pictures and colored pencil drawings of primary school students, which are gifts given to heroes and widows every year during Chinese New Year. The inside and outside of the cave dwelling are tidied up beautifully, and Tao Mier still manages to live a good life.Putao sat under the tung tree in the middle of the yard, listening to the dogs cry. There are more than 400 families and 300 families have dogs, but no one has been woken up.

Just as the dogs were howling, a large truck out of the city was heading towards Shitun.Without turning on the headlights or honking the horn all the way, I arrived on the river beach without anyone noticing. The sky was clear and the roosters were all crowing. This is the last bit of solid sleep for people, and they will soon wake up. Follow the eighteen windmills to the upper reaches of the river, and walk five or six miles to reach the river beach. The river water squeezed through a few stones and became narrow and fast. The river bank is a dry riverbed, covered with stones, with miscellaneous trees growing in the crevices of the stones, and dense reed grass. The grapes and the big trucks arrived almost at the same time. She lay down among the reeds and crawled forward little by little. After climbing five or sixty steps, I saw a large group of legs approaching. Some couldn't walk anymore, fell down, and were dragged to the water's edge by kneeling.

It was a little brighter again, and the red color of the morning glow appeared in the river. The roosters sing better and brighter one by one, as if they have never fought or killed anyone for thousands of years.Roosters can sing away ghosts too. Thousands of roosters from fifty villages sang together, and the river became more and more beautiful, like melted gold. The rooster suddenly stopped singing, and some choked with an "uh" without stopping-the gunshot rang out. Putao lay there, and saw the legs dwindling through the gaps in the reeds, and then it became a large footboard. The gunshots continued, "bang, bang, bang, bang", every time her heart, liver, and gallbladder pounded.Looking at the river again, the red dyeing workshop was opened, which made the morning glow darker.

As the sun rises, Sturn sounds the gong.Gongs sounded in fifty surrounding villages.Fifty villages had tin trumpets shouting: "Everyone is going to the peasant association, read the notice! Whose family member has been shot, go to the river beach to claim the body! No one recognizes them, and they will all be buried collectively tomorrow morning!  …" Grape heard the sound of the gong and ran up the river. She was the only one who came to collect the body.Sun Huaiqing fell face down, but with his spine, Putao recognized him at a glance among hundreds of corpses. He was still wearing the old light gray robe, with the cotton wool removed. The shot was fired from behind, and strangely enough, there was hardly any blood on his body. Each corpse will have a sign tied on the back, with a name and surname written on it.These signs were made for the public trial meeting. It was temporarily decided not to hold the public trial meeting, and the shooting was executed a day and a half earlier. .

Putao heard someone humming somewhere. She looked over, and humming disappeared again. She picked up one of Sun Erda's shoes and put it on for him.Suddenly, the foot moved. She quickly put her hand under Sun Erda's nose, she was still angry! "Daddy! Daddy!" Sun Huaiqing's throat was rumbling, but no words could come out.He actually saw Putao, but his eyes were so wide open that Putao thought his eyes were still closed. Putao immediately tore his robe, biting it with his mouth, and a strand of cloth was torn off.She saw that the gunshot wound was just below his left nipple. It was a miracle that he was not killed.Blood gushed out from the opened flesh like a boiling pot. She first pressed the floor cloth on it, and after pressing it for a while, she tore off the bib inside her fine cloth shirt. Let her tear it apart. At any rate, she covered Er Da's wound.

The grapes stood there for a while, and the sun came out from the top of the slope. She saw Erda's chest heaving slightly. She moved her mouth closer and shouted: "Dad, dad, it's grapes!..." This time she saw his eyes, the light inside was so weak that the grapes didn't know how long it would last.No matter what, she picked him up and carried him to the deepest part of the reeds, and then pulled some dry reeds for him to tighten. After a while, the body collectors came, even if some people were paying attention, they thought that the body of the Second University had already been collected first. She came out of the reed and heard humming again. She walked back and looked at them one by one, just in case there were still some who were still alive. She found the humming man, a man in his thirties, tall and big, with a longevity lock on his body.Seeing Putao, he made a tighter silence.Putao wanted to pull him, but he didn't have a piece of good meat, she didn't know where to start. She counted, even the ones that were shot first and the ones that were shot later, he took seven bullets by himself, and he still couldn't catch his breath. The man belonged to Wei Po. When the devil came, he went to the countryside to buy grain. He sold two hundred catties of wheat to the devil. When he found that the price offered by the devil was a little higher than the market price, he urged the villagers to sell the grain to the devil. .Later, he himself was able to get some kickbacks from the middle and bought a few acres of land.

He uttered another word, and she saw his eyes fall on his feet. There is a big pebble at the foot, what does he mean? Tell her to use the stone to stop him from being so sick? She lifts the stone, and his eyes bulge out, revealing the entire white of his eyes. She understood that he didn't want this life to fail, he wanted her to save him too.She thought about it, it was too embarrassing. She still doesn't know if she can save her father-in-law. Putao walked away a few steps, but he still hummed. The kite hawk flew lower and lower, casting black shadows, drifting back and forth. If they wanted to come down and peck him like a piece of dead meat, that would be enough for him to suffer. She couldn't control that much, so she hardened her heart and left. Putao ran back to the village and saw Cai Amber, the director of the Women's Association, standing at the door of her kiln.Cai Amber is also a heroic widow. She has been a secret boss for several years, and now she has returned to the village to work as a cadre.Cai Amber said: "Pao, why don't you go to the meeting?" "Meeting again?" Putao said. "Why do you call another meeting?" "It's not another meeting." "Today is a big event. Putao, you must speak positively. Did you hear the gong and trumpet just now?" "No." "You don't know whoa?" "Know what?" "Oh! The shooting was executed on the river beach execution ground early this morning! Your father-in-law, Sun Huaiqing, ordered the people's government to execute him!" "Kill it." "Isn't that a happy event for you, a turned female slave? It's a good thing to send a few words to everyone." "Send it." Putao said as she got into the hut, her head sticking out on the wall, she took off her trouser belt and put it around her neck, telling Cai Amber to go first, and she followed after she untied her hands. The tin trumpet outside is still telling people to collect the corpses, and the sound of the gong is exactly the same as in the past when they were urged to urge food and taxes.Hearing that Cai Amber greeted another person again, she quickly tied up her trouser belt, stood on the latrine, and came out only after hearing their voices fade away. She grabbed two handfuls of white noodles and scalded them sweetly, scattered some frangipani flowers in them, and poured the soup into the military marching pot Shaoyong gave her.She went out to look around, and everyone had gone to a meeting. She ran back to the river beach, walked around in the reeds for a mile or two, and found Sun Huaiqing. She fed the soup and said to Sun Erda: Dad, you lie here, don't make a sound, don't move your dust, and I'll pick you up when it gets dark. The second big eyelid lowered, which meant nodding. She helped the nearby Weizi, so that it was impossible to see that anyone had entered. She came out and suddenly stopped still: hundreds of dwarves stood on the slopes on both sides of the river, looking at the corpses on the river beach. She and they looked at each other from a distance for a while, and then walked up to the tall and burly young man who had been shot seven times. He has died. His eyes are bulging, and his eyes are bright, and the shadows of several hawks flying around cast on his eyeballs. She wiped his eyelids with the palm of her hand to see that his face was not so scary before she stood up.As she walked, she saw old ugly eyes, so she closed them for them. The dwarves stood on a high place, silent and motionless, watching Putao stop and go, stand and squat, and close their eyes. A dwarf called out, "Hey girl, what's your name?" Putao stood down and asked, "What?" The dwarf man was speechless. Putao asked: "What are you doing?" A dwarf daughter-in-law said: "Come to worship the temple." Only then did Putao realize that the Zongzi Temple belonged to them. "Are you from a foreign land?" "Every town has them. Every town is killing people." A dwarf boy said. "Do you often come to the temple?" "Once a year." They watched her walk down the beach.Putao closed the eyes for the dead, which made them think she was strange. She is different from other normal-sized people. The dwarves don't care about normal people's affairs, and sometimes they can't help but feel a kind of dark pleasure or dark pity when they see them kill so badly.Today they saw Putao's actions, and they wondered why she was like a carefree outsider, with pity and disgust for the mess left by the sand poking. In the eyes of the dwarves, Grape is tall and perfect, with two braided backs gradually going downhill and away.At first there was only the upper body left, and then only the top of the head remained. For a while, all they could see was the big windmill, spinning empty. After the meeting in the kiln yard of the Sun family, people walked up the steps singing "Arrogance and Pride" in a yellow accent, and a group of children took broken copper basins and jars from various houses and beat and ran: "Everyone is going to collect the corpses." No! Tonight all the dead bodies will stand up and come to your house to eat garlic noodles! Cai Amber grabbed a boy and said, "See if I don't tell your father to beat you up! Don't dare to shout!" The other children said like sycophants: "Director, Wang Putao buried Mr. Sun and is burning paper!" Cai Amber thought, no wonder Putao didn't come to the meeting. The cemetery is not far from Putao's house, just up the slope.Still a mile away, Cai Amber heard Putao's mourning. This Wang Putao fell behind again, and she really dared to cry and howl even if the landlord, bandit and overlord father-in-law who was shot was quietly buried and pulled down. When I arrived at the cemetery, there were already several wives and children around the grapes, wiping tears with them.Wearing a white shirt and wearing hemp on his head, Putao knelt in front of a new grave.A wooden sign was erected in front of the grave, and a photo of Sun Erda's long round face was pasted on it.Beside them are all burnt-out paper figurines and paper horses, folded from colored paper. Those colored papers look like slogans pulled from somewhere. The wives wiped their red eyes with their aprons, and said, "Sun Huaiqing is not bad." Cai Amber said to the wives: "The whole village meeting will be held soon, let's all go back, huh?" The wives ignored her and shed tears with Putao. "Wang Putao, look at your awareness! Just cry and cry, you're not done yet!" Director Cai came up to pull Putao, and put his hands under her armpits. I was sweating profusely from crying, as if I had just been fished out of the well. Director Cai asked, "Tao, why didn't I see you moving the corpse?" Putao replied: Then I didn't see you either. "You moved alone?" "And his son." Cai Amber looked around: "Sun Shaoyong is back?" "Let's go again. I'm going back for surgery." Putao blew her nose and wiped her finger on the sole of her shoe. "You see, Sun Shaoyong is highly enlightened, so he won't cry about his tyrannical old man here." Putao didn't wait for Director Cai to finish speaking, she moved her knees, kneeling comfortably, and screamed again with a "wow". Cai Amber stomped her feet angrily, and wanted to pull again when she came up.Putao's hand was caught by her from behind, and she pulled it back, but it was not vigorous. The little shirt stuck to her body, and she stretched her upper and lower body, and her stomach was exposed from under the shirt. "What the hell, I haven't finished crying!" "Go to the meeting!" Director Cai didn't let go, "Why are you crying when you die an enemy?! Wang Putao, I think you have become half a counter-revolutionary!" The militiamen from the village came, all carrying red cherry guns with large blades. When the wives see it, don't mess with them. They bounced their little feet for a while and then disappeared. When the militiamen saw Director Cai dragging Wang Putao backwards, Wang Putao refused to keep up with his feet, and the shirt and trousers became more and more separated. In the blink of an eye, Putao's pair of milks were exposed, white and bright, and the two teats were bright red, like two beautifully steamed jujube buns.Wang Putao's mouth was full of spittle, loess, and swear words, and he lay on the ground and punched him indiscriminately. Director Cai shouted to the militiamen: "Why are you so stupefied? Don't hold her back!" The militiamen came up with eight hands and finally controlled the grapes. After a while, they accidentally had Wang Putao's two white jujube buns in their minds, and they were delicious if they didn't eat them all. That night, Putao carried Gonggong Sun Huaiqing back to her kiln.Sun Huaiqing was unconscious, and his body was not very warm. She knew that he had shed too much blood, and whether he could be saved or not would depend on his life. She fed the goat's milk bought during the day to Er Da, and more than half of it flowed out from the corner of his mouth. In the middle of the night, she rode an old donkey to Hezhen, knocked on the door of Lan Gui's house, and asked her for Yunnan Baiyao.Lan Gui's man is half-acquainted with traditional Chinese medicine, and has all kinds of emergency medicines to stop bleeding at home. She casually said that she had a metrorrhagia and always relied on Baiyao to stop the bleeding. She washed Er Da's wound, applied Baiyao, wrapped the bandage, and the rooster crowed. She thought that the Second University would not want to hide here.People in the village are happy these days, celebrating this and that, and social fires follow one after another. When people are happy, they visit frequently. Every day, daughters and daughters-in-law come to find Putao to have meetings and watch social fire together. Not only the people were happy, but the dog also walked around writhing its buttocks and tail. As soon as the dog moved, the children followed. At dawn, Putao put a bed in the sweet potato kiln.Tao Mier's sweet potato kiln was dug beautifully, and it was not too crowded to put a bed.But she couldn't carry Er Da to the kiln no matter what. The entrance of the kiln was deep and narrow, and only one person could get in. Putao thought, there was only one way, and he would go down by himself after Er Da's injury healed. How many days will it take for his injury to heal? Putao feels that she will be very worried this time. When she was twenty-one years old, she knew sorrow for the first time. She came up from the sweet potato kiln and went back to the house, and saw Er Da's eyes were open, and his unmoving eyes slowly came to Putao's face. "Is dad better?" She quickly brought the goat milk to his mouth again. His dead white mouth moved, wanting to smile, but he couldn't gather enough energy, so he drooped his gray eyelids. This time he was bowing to her. Seeing that he drank all the goat's milk this time without missing anything, Putao was so happy that he wiped Er Da's mouth with his palm. After thinking about it, I should fetch some water and wipe his face.Telling him to sleep, he took the copper basin and walked out of the cave. Before he went out, he heard someone shouting, "Grape! The grape is me!" Putao grabbed the lock on the window sill and pulled the door. The doorman shouted again: "Pao, am I coming in?" Only then did Putao realize that it was Sun Shaoyong. She touched her chest, which seemed to be full of drums. She said: "It's the second brother! Wait for me to open the door for you." When she looked up, she saw that Shaoyong had come down the steps. He turned over from the low door.Fortunately, it was him who turned over, someone else, and the second university had to die again. Sun Shaoyong walked into the house, Putao closed the doorbolt with a click, put the lock in, pushed it, and the brass lock was locked. Her hands have always made big decisions, and she often gets things done, but her brain doesn't quite understand that her hands have already made up their minds. She locked the door, still thinking: Hey, you can't even trust Shaoyong? It turns out that she is the first one who can't trust Shaoyong. "Where are you going?" Shaoyong looked at her in filial piety. "Go and see our father's grave." "You go, I'll wait for you at home. Shaoyong has a gloomy face, two big dark circles, and he is ten years old. "What kind of enemy is he if he's dead? If you're dead, you still have sins? Can't you go and see?" Putao said, grabbing his arm. Shaoyong suddenly said: "Pao, he is dead, and I have been involved in this life." Putao didn't move, she turned her face slightly to look at his eyes buried under his preoccupation. He saw an unfinished pile of firewood in the middle of the yard, walked over, sank down, and landed on the firewood bundle. "I believe in revolution and progress all my life, and I hated the feudal backwardness and exploitative system. I still don't call us revolution and progress." Shaoyong lit a cigarette and smoked it. "Who doesn't call you a revolution?" Putao asked. "Who dares! The more you don't call me a revolution, the more I am a revolution, let him see! I asked the government to shoot Huaiqing on my own initiative! I am still in contact with my elder brother through my relationship to let him abandon his secrets and come back from abroad to strive for meritorious service and atonement. "You told them to shoot our father?" Putao looked at this man who was gradually not looking like Shaoyong. In her eyes, this man with a fair face and two big dark circles lost the look of the Sun family man she was familiar with little by little. "Of course my statement is the key! Have you heard about the surveillance whistle? It was a counter-revolutionary demonstration! After trial one by one, no prisoner could explain clearly. Only Sun Huaiqing confessed from the beginning to the end. He was not the leader. Who else could be making trouble?" "You told them to shoot our father?" Putao still wanted to understand this man who was slowly becoming a man. "I am an anti-Japanese cadre who joined the party in four or four years. Three people in my family have been implicated into this—I was notified last night that I will not be asked to go to North Korea, but to go to the local government!" Putao understood a little bit. He asked people to divide up his father's house and land, and then took Guangyang out and asked people to divide up. Finally, he asked someone to kill his father. It turns out that dividing the ocean is not called dividing the ocean, it is called progress, and killing the father is not called killing the father, it is called progress.Look at him, he's become someone she doesn't recognize. "Sun Shaoyong, let's go." Sun Shaoyong didn't notice how cold Putao's voice was.He only saw how beautiful Putao was in the white linen filial piety.I've never looked so good before, just showing him is a blessing. He said, "What's wrong?" "Let's go, don't forget about this door." He stood up slowly, blinking his eyes, wondering where he had messed with her. He said: "I am doing this for our own good. The army kicked me out for demanding progress. If I did not draw a clear line with Sun Huaiqing, I don't know what to do with the organization! Counter-revolutionaries are being purged everywhere in the country. More than a dozen people in a single institution were labeled as counter-revolutionaries, and they were all sentenced! "Why don't you leave?" Putao picked up the ax conveniently. Shaoyong was afraid that she didn't know how serious she was, so he quickly dodged a few steps and walked around to the side of the firewood. She followed him with a hatchet in hand, and he continued to circle around.Around, he continued to reason with her.He said: "At any rate, I have a scalpel, which is popular everywhere. The army doesn't make us progress, but the local government dares to make us progress? I greeted the provincial hospital, and they promised me to be the chief surgeon there!... Grape , dare not!..." The broad ax had already flown out of Grape's hand, Shaoyong had the skills of a soldier after all, he jumped with both feet and let it scrape the ground under his head.He turned and grabbed it and threw it on the roof of the mill shed. "Why is your skin thicker than a yellow ox? You came to my widow's house, what are you looking for in the early morning?" Putao said, picking up another piece of firewood. The two chatted around again. "The chief surgeon of the provincial hospital is more famous than the army hospital, and he promised to give me two rooms!" Putao only wants to throw him out with a stick. "If you don't leave, I'll call the militia!" "When the house is settled, I'll take you into the city...don't dare, grape! don't dare to cut off your head!..." Firewood flew over his head.Putao bent down, trying to pick up a piece of heavier firewood, Shaoyong jumped over the firewood, hugged her, and pinned her to the ground. He put his legs on her legs, panted and said: "Eat whatever you eat, you will gain strength!" Putao groaned and knocked him over. Shaoyong refuses to accept, how can he let the woman be on top and he is on the bottom? He made a real move and used all his strength to bring the situation back.He pressed her under him, and with one hand came out, he tore the buttons of her shirt. She bit his shoulder. There was still a pungent smell of cleanliness and hygiene on his body, and the slippery and tight flesh was all cooked by her. "Don't dare to bite, it's meat!" If you don't look at him, if you don't look at him, you will still be the second brother who she loves with her heart and hurts with her flesh. She suddenly understood herself. When she was a child, she learned to be good for her second brother. The second brother was her love brother, and Tie Nao was only her sibling.Once, 17-year-old Shaoyong came back from school and just entered the village when he saw a sorceress holding Chunxi, who was two or three years old, walking towards the river beach. Dongxi's mother carried a hatchet and walked beside her, stopping constantly, turning her head and yelling at a group of children, Don't let them come near.Shaoyong asked Putao among the children if Chunxi was seriously ill. Putao said that Chunxi had been burned for three weeks and could not even feed water. He asked Putao again, but he didn't listen to the sorceress saying that he was going to cut Chunxi off.Grape replied yes.Shaoyong chased after him, and when he got to the side of the sorceress, he heard Xiao Chunxi talking, and asked his mother where he was taking her.His mother coaxed him to take him to the meeting. He said: "Mom, let's not go to the river beach." Dongxi's mother said to go to the river beach to wash his face first, and then went to the meeting.Xiao Chunxi said again, "Mom, don't go to the river beach." The witch asked him why he didn't go, and he said that people always carried sick children to the river beach, hacked them with a hatchet, and smashed them with stones.Seeing that they couldn't coax him, the two of them didn't dare to talk to each other.Shaoyong had already grabbed the witch's clothes at this time, and said to wait, wait until tomorrow morning to chop. The sorceress put Chunxi wrapped in rotten cotton wool on the ground, and took the hatchet from Chunxi's mother, saying that it will be over?If he dies at night, the blood won't splash on his mother, and he will be a life-stealing ghost next time.Shaoyong put his head on the sorceress' stomach, knocking her over on her back.He picked up Chunxi and ran away, neither Dongxi's mother nor the sorceress could catch up with him.He ran to the elementary school down the street, ran into a classroom, and bolted the door from the inside.Dongxi's mother and witch were outside, and Shaoyong was inside, talking through a door. The people outside said that it was not Chunxi that they wanted to kill, but the life-stealing ghost. It was not called chopping. He went to the king of Hades and was dishonest.Cut him down and let the blood splatter, and he will not dare to come back to steal his life after he is gone.Shaoyong said at the door, tell him to guard Xiaochunxi, and if he misses at night, he will go and wake them up, and it will not be too late to chop.He really guarded Chunxi all night. The next morning, Chunxi was able to drink soup.Shaoyong left Shitun that winter, saying that he was going to study medicine. How big were grapes then?ten years old?eleven?Secretly let Shaoyong be the love brother in her heart. And this man on top of her ruined the secret love brother in her heart. After Shaoyong finished his good deed, she said coldly, "You and I, this is the time." Shaoyong thought she was just talking out of anger, and wanted to give her a few days to get over her anger, and then come back to have a serious talk with her.It was broad daylight when he left, and Putao was still sitting naked on the dirt.He said: "Hurry up and put it on, people are coming!" He made a playful tone. She didn't hear it at all, and it looked like it was really messed up. When Sun Shaoyong took the night train to Shitun, the execution ground on the river beach was full of lights.Of course Sun Shaoyong couldn't have seen it, the train he took didn't pass there. The people in Shitun didn't see it either. In the fifty surrounding villages, no one saw this bustling night scene.Even the dwarfs missed the lit funeral.During the day, the gong rang for a whole day, and the tin trumpet also yelled for a whole day, but no one was called out to claim the body on the river beach. The family members of death row prisoners in the surrounding villages and cities do not want to have anything to do with the death row prisoners during the day, and no one wants to be relatives of the enemy. After twelve o'clock at night, they came one after another with lanterns. In some families, two generations have come, and in some families, four generations have come together. If a person had walked up the slope at this time and stood where the dwarves had stood in the morning, he would have seen countless lanterns moving down the road on the slope of the river, winding and continuous, moving to the bottom of the valley.Slowly, the lights filled the valley and spread upward. No one cried; the old, the young, and the middle-aged and middle-aged all used lanterns to shine on every face without saying a word. It's only been one day, these familiar faces seem to be separated by a hundred years, looking so far away, so unkind and indifferent.A young man recognized his father and was stopped when he was about to cry. If the person standing on the slope has very good ears, he can hear two occasional whispers in the depths of the lamp. "...the pen is still inserted, and it was not confiscated!" "" "See if there is a letter left?" Can you find it?" "Can you find it? Haven't broken it?" "No, we have to find it.Even the counter-revolutionaries can’t just pull their heads halfway!” "..." If the man could endure the bites of the pancake-forming mosquitoes on the river, he could see the lights burning until they blew, and the morning star in the sky down the river dimmed.People dug hundreds of pits on the river beach, and hurriedly buried their relatives who had humiliated them and would affect their lives. Before daybreak, this brightly lit funeral was over. If there was such a person who went up to Potou just that night and saw this scene, then this big funeral with lights would not be completely missed out of history. It will be many years before anyone dares to come to this place. At that time, the Japanese admired the peony in this area every year, so some people developed the river beach and planted it into a peony garden. At that time, if the bystander who watched the great funeral with lights that night is still alive, he will see the tractor driving on the dry river, plowing hundreds of barren graves. That day, Sun Shaoyong, the chief surgeon of the city hospital, just went to work, went to the window to open the window for ventilation, and saw grapes sitting at the gate.Sun Shaoyong always came in through the side door for work, so he and Putao missed it.He thought that the life of this raw body was long enough, and it took only three months. At this time, it was cool in autumn. He was about to call her when she looked up.She knew it was his window. He gestured for her to come up.She shook her head.He watched her stand up and take two steps towards him.She didn't walk as vigorously as she used to, and she was a little stupid. He smiled and said, "Are you drinking the cold wind there? Come up?" "Come down!" said the grape. "I'm about to go into the operating room." Without saying anything, she walked back and sat on the steps outside the reception room. She looked even stupider from behind. "I'll be out in two hours. Are you waiting?" She nodded vigorously. But when he finished the operation in one hour and forty-five minutes and ran downstairs, there were no grapes anywhere. He asked the mailman in the reception room, but they all said he didn't pay attention. He looked at his watch, there was still a minor operation below, so he had to go back.Putao is not allowed to play in the street. The second time he went downstairs, he still didn't see Putao, and he was a little annoyed at her: having a bad child is having a bad child, and you can't argue with her about everything. Three days later, it was Sunday, and Sun Shaoyong suddenly remembered Putao's stupid gait.Luckily you're still in medical school: don't you see that's pregnancy? When Sun Shaoyong arrived in Shitun, it was just dark, and the inside and outside were soaked by a heavy rain.He had found an acquaintance's jeep from the Army Hospital to bring him here, and the driver had to rush back to the city when he reached Stun Street. Before he had taken two steps, it started to rain heavily. He wanted to borrow an umbrella from someone on the street, but he didn't want anyone to see him come back, so he stood up to let the rain drench. The door of Putao's house was unlocked, so he went in yelling all the way.He ran into the cave dwelling where Putao was the main house, but she was nowhere to be seen, but the lamp was on.He took off the old military uniform he was wearing as a coat, and it weighed three catties after soaking through the rain.He sat down on the stool in front of the loom and watched the grapes weaving a piece of cloth with blue stripes on a white background. It is a woven mattress. After not sitting for a minute, he stood up and walked towards the kiln next door. While walking, he yelled: "Gao! See you play hide and seek with me!..." He was so happy when he heard his own voice. The cave where Putao slept was also empty. There are no grapes in the kitchen or mill. The old donkey looked at him, as if he was tired from standing, changed his hooves, and continued to chew grass. When he returned to the main room, he found Putao sitting in front of the loom changing the shuttle. He said, "Hey, where have you been?" She looked at him, her face was cold, and her eyes looked like she had just bought into Sun's house. She said: Where can I go.She stood up and flicked the veil off her body. "out?" "Ok." He looked at her, there was no mud or water, it didn't look like she had just come back from the outside. But he obviously searched everywhere, but he didn't see her.He went up to hug her, but she stepped aside. "Is that the one you conceived?" He was still happy: "You still ignore me, ignore me, your son has no father." He went up to hug her again. "What are you talking about?" Putao's body slipped out of his arms again: "What are you pregnant for?" Her eyes became more rigid. "You tease me, I know how to tease." He smiled, not as knowledgeable as Xiaowa. "You said, why did you come to me on Thursday morning? Did you come to tell me: I'm going to be a father?" "Yes, what's the matter?" "It's you who will come back with me tomorrow." She didn't speak, just stared at him, as if he hadn't said what she wanted to hear, and she was waiting. "We have two rooms, and it is enough to live in when we give birth to a child. I calculated, from then to now, this child is about a hundred days old. I was thinking along the way, it is a girl, so I call it Jin, and it is a son. , it’s called Ting. Now make a list of names.” She still had nothing to say, and waited for him to say the sentence she wanted to hear. He was covered in wet clothes, and it was only now that he felt cold.He said, "Get me a hand towel and see I'm wet." Grape then spoke. She said: "Sun Shaoyong, you are dreaming, I am not pregnant with anything, even if I am pregnant, it is not yours. Shaoyong was suddenly dumbfounded. "Let's go." "Pao, how did the second brother offend you? Are you vomiting so loudly?" "Are you sure I'm pregnant?" "I am a doctor." "Then you can be sure that what I'm pregnant is yours? You can be happy with me but others can't? I've been a widow for eight years, and I'm still idle when I'm idle." Sun Shaoyong became angry. It poured a heavy rain, and when it came to her, it made her pour out even more ugly words.Angrily, he picked up his cold and heavy wet clothes, put them on, and was about to leave.Putao threw an oilcloth umbrella with fine seams at his feet. "Gao, your heart is really hard." "Catch up with you hard?" As soon as she heard it, she still didn't go around him because of Sun Huaiqing's affairs. He walked back to Stuttgart Street, where the rain shut down the doors and turned off the lights. He walked to the small inn on the street, which was a dry place after all.But he didn't sleep well all night, and the bedbugs and fleas made his hands too busy to scratch.Still full of worries, he kept biting him.In the middle of the night, he didn't sleep at all, knocked on the shopkeeper's door, bought two packs of cigarettes and a bottle of shochu from him, smoked and drank, and waited for the rain to come. His love for grapes was a sudden thing. It was the second day after she and Tao Mier fought over the soap. The grapes dug out the black mud by the side of the slope pool to make pit cloth. She is on Pochi's side, and he is here.He saw her rub the hair hanging on her face with her shoulder, but when she moved, it hung down again. He couldn't think of anything to say to her, not even such nonsense as "Oh Putao, is that you?"The more anxious he became, the dumber he became, he just wanted to say hello and left without saying hello.Grape found him when he was about to escape. She couldn't speak for a moment. Both of them were so dumb. That night, he scolded himself as he lay in the midst of the noisy shouts of the male soldiers of the land reform work group, not letting himself think about grapes. In the end, he got angry with himself and said in his heart, okay, okay, I told you to think about it! Think about it! Don’t think about anything else, just think about grapes, grapes! He really let go and thought about it happily. After thinking about it for over an hour, I finally fell asleep and slept soundly. He didn't say anything.
