Chapter 13 A good day to see kangaroos

There are four kangaroos inside the fence. One is a male, two are females, and one is a newborn wallaby. In front of the kangaroo fence, it's just me and her.The zoo was not very lively, and it was Monday morning, so the number of guests entering the venue was far less than the number of animals. Our target, of course, is the baby kangaroo.Other than that, I can't think of anything worth seeing. We learned about the baby kangaroo from the local edition of the newspaper a month ago.And for a month, have continued to wait for an appropriate morning to visit the baby kangaroos!hurt. However, this kind of morning always refuses to come. One day it rained, the next day it rained again, another day the ground was still wet, and the next two days there was a nasty wind blowing. One morning her cavities hurt, and another morning I had to go to the District Office to run some errands.

A month passed like this. One month has passed in a blink of an eye.I really can't remember what I did during this month. It seems that I have done a lot of things, but I feel that I have done nothing. If it wasn't for the arrival of the newspaper fee collector at the end of the month, I wouldn't even notice that a month has passed. But no matter what, the morning dedicated to watching kangaroos finally came.We woke up at 6am, opened the curtains and immediately decided it was a good day to see kangaroos. We washed, ate, fed the cat, washed our clothes, put on our sun hats and headed out.

"You said, is the kangaroo baby still alive?" she asked me on the tram. "I think I'm still alive; because I haven't seen any news of death." "Maybe I got sick and went to a hospital somewhere." "That should log out, too." "Are you too nervous to hide inside and not come out?" "You mean baby?" 'Who said that, I said mother.Maybe hiding in the dark room behind with the baby. " Girls really know how to think, and they can think of any possibility, I am really convinced. "I always feel that if this opportunity is missed, it will never be possible to see a second kangaroo baby."

"Would that be the case?" "Just think about it, have you ever seen a baby kangaroo before?" "No." "Are you confident that you will see it again from now on?" "I don't know if it will." "So I'm worried." "However," I protested, "although it may be as you said, but I have never seen a giraffe give birth, nor have I seen a whale swim. Why is a kangaroo baby now a problem? " "Because it's a baby kangaroo," she said. I just read the newspaper.I have never won a debate with a girl.

The kangaroo babies are, needless to say, alive. He (or maybe she) was much bigger than the newspapers had seen, running around the ground with great strength, and it was not so much a baby as a miniature kangaroo. This fact disappointed her a little. "Looks like it's not a baby anymore." Still like a baby, I comforted her. "We should have come earlier." When I went to the store and bought two chocolate ice creams, she was still leaning against the fence, watching the kangaroo. "Not a baby anymore," she repeated. "Really?" I said and handed her an ice cream.

"Because if it's a baby, it should be in the mother's belly bag." I nodded and licked the ice cream. "But it's not in the stomach pocket." So we started looking for the kangaroo's mother. The father kangaroo can be seen at a glance. The biggest and quietest one is the father kangaroo. He was staring at the green leaves in the food box with a face like that of a composer whose talents have been exhausted. The remaining two females have the same body shape, the same fur color, and even the same expression on their faces. It is not surprising which one is the mother.

"However, one is a mother, and one is not a mother." Jokingly said. "Ok" "So what is a kangaroo that isn't a mother?" No idea, she said. The baby kangaroo didn't care about this, just ran around on the ground, and kept digging holes with its front feet here and there for no reason. He or she appears to be a creature who does not know what boredom is.He kept walking around his father, eating only a little bit of green grass, digging the ground, playing tricks between two female kangaroos, lying on the ground rolling for a while, getting up and running again for a while.

"Why does the kangaroo run so fast?" she asked. "To escape from the enemy." "Enemy? What kind of enemy?" "Humans." I said, "Humans kill kangaroos with machetes and eat their meat." "Why does the wallaby hide in its mother's pouch?" "To escape together. Because the wallaby can't run that fast." "You mean protected?" "Well." I said, "Children are protected." "How long will it be protected?" I should have checked everything about kangaroos in the animal illustrated book before coming back.Because this kind of thing was already expected.

"A month or two." "This guy is only one month old," she said, pointing to the baby kangaroo. "Should have stayed in mother's pouch." "Hmm." I said, "Probably." "Don't you think it's wonderful to hide in that bag?" "Yes." "Does the so-called Tinker Bell's pocket have the desire to return to the cabin?" "do not know." "It must be." The sun is already high up.From the nearby swimming pool came the laughter of children, and there were clear summer clouds in the sky.

"Would you like something to eat?" I asked her. "Hot dogs," she said, "and Coke." The hot dog seller was a young work-student student. Inside the five-door car-style stand, there was a large tape recorder. Before the hot dogs were baked, stevie WOnder and Billy JOe sang to us. When I got back outside the kangaroo fence, she said, "Look!" pointing to a female kangaroo. "Look! Look! He ran into his stomach pocket." real! The baby kangaroo has slipped into its mother's pouch. The belly pouch swelled, and only the small pointed ears and the end of the tail stuck out.

"Will it be too heavy?" "Kangaroos are very strong." "Really?" "That's why I can live to this day." Mother did not shed a drop of sweat under the strong sunlight. It's like the feeling of sitting in a coffee shop for a while and drinking a cup comfortably after buying the afternoon dishes from the supermarket on Qingshan road. "It's being protected." "Ok" "are you asleep?" "I guess so." We ate hot dogs, drank Cokes, and left the kangaroo enclosure. As we were leaving, Daddy Kangaroo was still searching for the lost note in the food box.Mother kangaroo and baby kangaroo are becoming one, taking a break in the flow of time. The mysterious female kangaroo kept jumping repeatedly in the fence as if trying to test the condition of her tail. Today could be the hottest day in a long time. "Would you like a beer?" I said. "Okay." I said.
