"All" was a small publication published by the Publishing Department of Creation Society that published new book news, covering all sides. The origin of this somewhat strange name of the publication is that the publishing department was opened at No. 11, Sanli A, Baoshan Road, Zhabei, Shanghai at that time, so this house number was used as the name of the publication. It was Pan Hannian who proposed the publication of this journal, who was most enthusiastic about this work, and who actually took the editorial responsibility. He was also one of the boys in the publishing department at that time, responsible for the work of the subscribers of the publication, and had good contacts with many readers. Therefore, he felt the need to publish such a publication, so he was always very enthusiastic about this work.

This is a thing of the thirties. At that time, the publishing business of new literature and art was just beginning. Even in Shanghai, there were still very few new bookstores specializing in publishing new literature and art books, and there were no semi-propaganda small publications such as "Publishing News".Unlike later, most large-scale bookstores have their own promotional publications, which regularly report news of new books in this edition and distribute them to readers. Therefore, after the publication of "All", it was very popular among readers. This small publication is not for sale, and it seemed to be a fortnightly publication at first. Those who come to the store to buy books can take a copy at hand.If you are a reader from other places, as long as you pay the postage, you can send it on schedule. The first issue of 2,000 copies sold out.

The content of "All" is not purely new book news, it also publishes some short essays and letters from readers, so it soon becomes a formal small publication. That's why it's so popular with readers. In addition, the correspondence of several giants of the Creation Society at that time, as well as fragments of their translations, occasionally appeared on it, but the main ones were those "Yusi"-style essays, and shrew-style social short comments. It was written by Pan Hannian.Hu Shi and Liu Bannong in the north, as well as Zhang Jingsheng, who was attracting attention at the time, were all frequently attacked.

At that time, publications published in Shanghai did not need to be registered for the record, let alone sent for inspection. That's not to say, however, that no one is secretly paying attention. Therefore, this small publication was soon considered to have a different background because of its too sharp edge, and it got a name on the "blacklist".Some readers from other places began to write letters saying that they could not receive it by mail, and some students at school had trouble reading this small publication. In August 1926, the publishing department of the Creation Society was ordered to be shut down by the Shanghai Police Department, and this small publication became one of the crimes.

After it was unsealed, "All" was no longer published, but it later met readers with another face and became an official publication, that is, the semi-monthly "Huanzhou" published by Guanghua Bookstore.
