田健激动了：“刘书记，既然如此，那我更得告了，给我们这个社会，也给有关部门提个醒，别再让一些坏人打着反腐败的旗号整治好人，诬陷好人！”看了刘重天一眼，明确地说，“刘书记，这种事既然能发生在我身上，也就可能发生在别人身上，甚至发生在你身上！”
刘重天本能地感到田健话里有话，夹了口菜在嘴里嚼着：“怎么会发生在我身上？啊？”
田健一声苦笑：“刘书记，你活得累不累？这还要我说啊？谁不知道你以前的秘书祁宇宙举报你了？镜州现在四处都在传，说你的问题很严重，随时有可能被省里双规！”
周善本证实道：“重天，田健没说假话，这两天镜州传闻可真不少，矛头都是指向你的，说你马上要进去，说老齐被请到省城休息是假，帮省委搞清你的受贿问题才是真的。还有人造谣，说你失宠了，把秉义同志搞毛了，秉义同志和省委不会再保你了，反正说什么的都有。”
刘重天不无苦恼地道：“谁爱说什么就让他们说好了，人正不怕影子歪嘛！既然我们痛下决心和这些腐败分子开了战，又置身于斗争第一线，也就难免遭遇对手的反击嘛！对不对？”
田健道：“对，刘书记，你该干啥还干啥，再难也得把镜州案子办到底，不能半途而废！哪天你真要被冤枉抓起来，我就去探监，就去为你奔走呼号！来，刘书记，我敬你一杯！”
刘重天呵呵笑了起来：“我看还不至于这么严重吧！”和田健碰了下杯，将酒一饮而尽，掉转了话题，“好了，我的事不谈了，相信省委总会搞清楚。田健，还是说说你吧，有个问题我现在还是不太明白：你小伙子既然已经私下调查，掌握了白可树、林一达他们经济犯罪的确凿证据，为什么不早一点举报呢？倒让他们先下了手，弄得自己这么被动。”
田健呷着酒：“刘书记，有个情况你不清楚：当初蓝天科技招聘总经理时，财务总监范友文和我是竞争对手，白可树、齐小艳他们都倾向于让范友文出任总经理，齐书记不同意，批示要用我，——齐书记的批示我现在还记得很清楚：'我意不要再搞近亲繁殖了，就请外来的留洋和尚念念蓝天科技这部难念的经吧，开放的镜州必须对各类人才进一步敞开大门。'我到任后，齐书记还专门到公司视察过，鼓励我放开手脚好好干，所以，齐书记挺感激的。”
刘重天笑道：“于是，你就有了一种士为知己者死的那种'士'的感情，是不是？”
田健承认了：“是的，中国知识分子骨子里都或多或少有这种潜在的感情因子。”他继续说了下去，“因为对齐书记有这种感情，我就得对齐书记负责，发现蓝天科技的问题之后，我没想去举报，而是先向齐小艳透露了，希望她转告齐书记，给我一个专门汇报的机会。不曾想，齐小艳和白可树关系不一般，没去向齐书记转达我的汇报要求，反倒把我秘密调查财务情况的底透给了白可树，白可树就利用杨宏志给我下了套。我发现不对头，再去找齐书记时，齐书记偏巧出国去欧洲招商，我没办法了，也只好对不起齐书记了，这才将举报材料寄到了北京。”
刘重天批评道：“你这个田健啊，口口声声依法办事，事实如何？你也没有依法办事嘛！发现了蓝天科技的问题，你想到的不是依法举报，而是请齐书记处理。齐书记有超越法律的特权吗？在这里，我们做个假设，——假设你找到了齐书记，齐书记不处理呢？那就算了？”
田健怔了一下：“刘书记，这……这个问题我……我还真没想过……”
