Among the tea-producing countries in the world, my country is the only country that has institutions of higher learning and secondary specialized schools that specialize in tea science. They not only train college graduates with a bachelor's degree, but also train postgraduates with a master's degree in tea since the 1960s. From the beginning, it began to train doctoral degree graduate students majoring in tea. (1) Higher agricultural colleges and universities with tea majors 1.The Department of Tea Industry of Anhui Agricultural College was formerly known as the tea specialized department of Fudan University. In 1952, when the national departments were adjusted, the specialized department of Fudan University was transferred to the Agricultural College of Anhui University. In February 1954, Anhui Agricultural College was established independently. In 1956, the tea specialized course was established as a four-year tea industry department.

It is divided into two four-year majors of tea and mechanical tea making, and a two-year specialized course of tea economics and trade. In addition, it recruits three-year master's degree graduate students.The department has more than 50 professional teaching staff and more than 10 experimental technicians. In 1954, the tea major of Huazhong Agricultural College was adjusted and merged into Zhejiang Agricultural College. In 1956, it was changed to a four-year undergraduate major in tea. In 1960, it merged with the Tea Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and in 1966, the department and the institute were separated.There are four-year tea major undergraduate courses and two-year tea economics and trade cadre training courses, and three-year master degree graduate students are recruited. In 1986, it was approved by the Academic Degree Evaluation Committee of the State Council, and the doctoral program of tea science was established.The department has more than 50 professional teaching staff. In 1952, it was merged into Southwest Agricultural College during the national adjustment of colleges and departments. Now it belongs to the Department of Food.
