Chapter 26 On the tip of rosemary, remember Buddha (24)

I planted several pots of rosemary and spent the summer in its strong fragrance. It is said that rosemary is also known as "dew in the sea", "sacred grass", "Maria's rose" and so on.This vanilla plant, which is native to the Mediterranean coast, has now traveled across the ocean to the mountains of southern Taiwan. It is still extremely fragrant, as if it still remembers the sunshine of the Mediterranean Sea, exuding the fragrance of the sun. In the legend of the Middle Ages, rosemary originally had small white flowers. On the way of the Virgin Mary fleeing Egypt with the Holy Child, the blue burqa fell off and hooked the branches of rosemary. From pure white to clear blue, no wonder it is called: rosemary ─ ─ Maria's rose.

Rosemary also represents "missing", "loyalty" and "memory".Shakespeare wrote in "Hamlet": "Rosemary is to help memories. My dear, please keep it in your heart." And my rosemary, remembering its due fragrance, faithfully accompanied me through the summer night. On the contrary, I often fall asleep in the fragrance of flowers── Rosemary is the fragrance of memory. For Buddhist practitioners, the Buddha and Bodhisattva are the most frequently remembered. "The Shurangama Sutra: Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva Recites the Buddha's Comprehensive Chapter" writes: "The Tathagatas of the ten directions have compassion for all living beings, just like a mother remembering a child. If the child escapes, what is the memory? Far away. If sentient beings remember the Buddha and recite the Buddha's name in their hearts, they will definitely see the Buddha when they are present and present. If they are not far away from the Buddha, they will not pretend to be convenient.

However, "chanting Buddha" is not the same as reciting the name of "Amitabha Buddha".No matter which method you practice, you must remember and chant the Buddha. The real Buddha-recitation should be to remember the Buddha's teachings and teachings. From an ordinary person to a Buddha, the various deeds of the Buddha who became a Buddha and taught all living beings in his life are the goals that Buddhist disciples must always recall to remind and encourage themselves; and the "dharma" taught by the Buddha can be used at all times The code of conduct to be followed should not just be the chanting of names.

In the summer night, the night is as cool as water, and the rosemary is even more fragrant!I stroked its slender and pointed leaves, and my hands were full of fragrance. For me, the tip of the rosemary leaf, I probably can't see the blue sacred garment left by the Virgin Mary; but I think of the Buddha's earnest teachings, as if I saw him running barefoot on both sides of the Ganges. figure... "If all living beings remember the Buddha and recite the Buddha's name in their hearts, they will definitely see the Buddha in the present and present... Like a person dyed with incense, his body has a fragrance, which is called the adornment of the fragrance." Let yourself be an "incense person" forever!I wish so.
