Chapter 23 Seize the moment!Otherwise you will miss today's blue star flower(21)

Today, Blue Star Flower sent a new flower to my eyes. The most attractive thing about blue star flower is that besides the fresh blue flowers, new flowers bloom every day.The lifespan of a flower is only one day, so the flowers you see every day are different from yesterday. The pot of blue star flowers in front of my window stretched its limbs freely, as if lying on a grassland. One of the branches was more like an elephant's trunk, extending parallel to the house from the flowerpot, and the tip of the nose was a fresh blue flower. star flower! Blue Star Flowers don’t wait for anyone. It is agreed that new flowers will bloom every day, and the flowers delivered every day are today’s flowers. Sometimes if you don’t look at them for a day, you won’t see them tomorrow!

The blue star flower that blooms in the morning and fades in the evening has no sentimental meaning at all, because new flowers will bloom tomorrow, as long as you know how to grasp it. "Seizing the moment" is indeed a very important topic in life.Dozens of years of life, like a white horse passing through the gap, suddenly looking back, has already gone through thousands of mountains and rivers, and has gone through countless vicissitudes. But looking at where he came from, he lamented that the light was passing by, but he himself achieved nothing. But walking in a hurry every day, it is rare to stop to look at the scenery today, always thinking that you can see it tomorrow; there is always one time, you will not see it tomorrow, and you will regret it.

Why is it so difficult to live in the present moment? That's because our minds often either fantasize about the future or reminisce about the past, and cannot face up to the current conditions as they really are. Zen said: "Take off your shoes and socks today, will you wear them in the Ming Dynasty?" Life is fickle, and no one knows what will happen tomorrow? If you regard every day as the last day of your life, it may be easier to bring forth righteous thoughts and grasp the present moment. And the so-called "grasp the moment" does not mean that we are nervous and overly demanding perfection, which makes us and others physically and mentally exhausted; it requires us to maintain a normal mind of the middle way, like a piano player who is not loose or tight, or a pedestrian Only when you are not slow or slow can you have a beautiful melody and a smooth pace.I like a passage in the classics. The Buddha's answer is very intriguing:

"Lord, how do you ride out the storm (of samsara)?" "My friend, without lingering or struggling, I will get through the storm." "But World Honored One, how did you do it?" "When lingering, my friend! Sinks; and when struggling, I am swept away. So, my friend! By neither lingering nor struggling, I ride through the storm." It can be seen from this that the Buddha faced the turmoil of samsara with a middle way attitude, and if we can always be cautious in our thoughts and actions, observe causes and conditions and make wise choices, then we will live in the moment with a middle way heart up.Although it may not be possible to survive the torrent of samsara, at least it will reach a clean and cool place!
