Chapter 19 I am flowing with the world, like Showa grass in the wind (17)

Have you ever seen Showa grass flower rain? There are Showa grasses on both sides of this mountain road. No matter what season we go, Showa grasses are all blooming with small brick-red flowers. When the fruit matures, a ball of snow-white pappus will turn out. When the wind blows, the Showa grasses on both sides will fly with the wind and float from the east. To the west, and then from the west to the east, where will the Showa grass swaying in the wind go?I often watch the tidbits swirling in the wind, watching them disappear into the sky... Showa grass is said to have been introduced to Taiwan during the Showa era in Japan. This name with a strong Japanese taste reminds people of the Showa era. The people of Taiwan experienced the Pacific War, Taiwan's recovery, and the Nationalist Government's retreat to Taiwan. It was really a precarious era!

Now, the nightmare of war is far away, but people's hearts are still swaying in the wind and rain, unable to control themselves, how fragile they are!Even if you set your mind to practice, or decide to accomplish some goals, the original persistence will easily drift with the situation when encountering the test of the realm, without knowing where it will end. This made me feel a little helpless, and I always felt that a lot of persistence could hardly resist the changes in the outside world. In the end, I left regrets in vain.I often walk through the flower rain of Showa grass with a little melancholy, feeling that my heart is like "the heart in the wind".

Unexpectedly, the real "Heart in the Wind" gave me another inspiration. That year I bought a few "hearts in the wind" in the Austrian Lake District - it was a circular mesh circle with a blue bead in the middle and bird feathers on the bottom. It is said that this is something hung by Indians. It is also called "dream catcher". It is a kind of blessing to net dreams. Those few "hearts in the wind", in addition to giving to friends, the remaining ones have been hung in front of the window.Whenever the wind blows, the "heart in the wind" dances with the wind, the center where dreams are closely intertwined, and the blue beads are shining! It seems that there is an incredible power that can catch any dream that comes in the wind...

Living in the wind of realms, facing the ever-changing and intricate causes and conditions, it is inevitable to feel at a loss, but a life with dreams is still happy; a life with direction is more practical. Monk Jianzhen of the Tang Dynasty once said: "Don't block the wind, and wish to turn this body into wind; don't block the rain, wish to turn this body into rain." When the wind comes, watch the wind dance in the realm with a normal heart!Just quietly watching the birth and death of impermanence, holding on to the dream in my heart, and waiting for the wind and rain to stop.Don't let your dreams blow away!

Walking through the "Showa Grass Road", I have learned to stop and take off the tidbits that stick to my body one by one. Although I may still fall into the shower of Showa Grass flowers in the next moment, the most important thing is to maintain the clarity at this moment! (This picture is provided by Wu Xiaodan)
